What a gem of a hotel! Location is ideal and the staff are as good as I have ever experienced- nothing is too much trouble, friendly and always smiling. The breakfast is excellent and the hotel is tastefully decorated and spotless.The cocktail bar with GianLuca is amazing and he is a master of his art! I really cannot find fault- outstanding!!

Staff really friendly and efficient, the hotel is very central so most places walkable , one thing that we thought was unusual is that there were no tea or coffee facilities in the room, not sure if this normal in Italy as our first visit but other than this would recommend the hotel

This place is awesome. It’s close to everything you want to see and still offers that quiet comfort feeling when you want it. Rooms are a bit small. The staff is amazing. We had lots of good conversations with Marco at the bar. Stefano is is a superb at his job.

Hotel Barocco was fantastic! An elegant & boutique full service hotel. Great, friendly staff. Fantastic food and drink. Located right in Piazza Barberini (a Metro Subway stop), and also within the shopping district. Also walkable to many of Rome’s must sees, specifically the Spanish Steps. Stefano & Gianluca are masters of their craft! Would Recommend!

We had the most amazing 3 night stay at the hotel. The staff are exceptional and the hotel provides a beautiful oasis in the busy city of Rome. Room was spotlessly clean, bright and airy. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and bar perfect for a pre-dinner drink. Can't say enough nice things about the hotel and the staff in particular. Would go back tomorrow..

It was not a 4 stars hotel experience. The room was in the next door building and very small. There was no room to open our luggage. The shower head was terrible, and hot water only lasts 5 min. We were woken up at 4 am by street noise and you can not make the room completely dark at night. In addition flushing the toilet causes a weird loud noise. On the other hand, the staff was friendly, and the space was clean. Breakfast was also good with a lot of options.

We stayed for a week and we loved the location and the staff who were truly wonderful. Unfortunately, the hotel had not yet turned on the central AC, and it was a warm/sunny March, so we were forced to sleep with the windows open which meant there was a LOT of traffic noise which kept waking us up. We did not get a single restful night's sleep and our vacation suffered because of it. We had prepaid so we could not change hotels. We expected more from a four-star hotel. Year-round climate control doesn't seem like too much to ask at that level. We feel badly about not rating higher because we liked the staff so much, however the lack of AC and not being able to sleep was a serious issue for us.

Very nice facilities. Small room/ bathroom. All showers should have a rubber mat- very slippery and I fell on the first day (asked for and received a mat). Breakfast was excellent as was the staff! We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return!!

We liked our room, with a view over Piazza Barberini. Some of the main tourist attractions were within easy walking distance and Metro, buses and taxis were all available on the door step. However the room was noisy in the early hours of the morning due to deliveries to our hotel and others on the square of laundry, supplies etc. Warmth from the reception staff and high level of service from the all staff during our stay was superb. My wife and I were sad to leave but will certainly return. Would highly recommended this fabulous hotel.

We enjoyed our stay here. It was in a great location on a lovely say purse with a fountain. We were there 2 nights on either end of our trip. We booked the same type of room and were disappointed the first night that it was such a small room but that was ok since we were leaving in the morning. The other night our room did not disappoint and was quite lovely with an awesome view of the fountain. It was room 19. The staff were beyond friendly and accommodating.

What a lovely hotel! Every single member of staff was cheerful, polite and went out of their way to make our stay special. Completely unprompted by myself or my partner, I was delighted by the breakfast staff singing’happy birthday’ and presenting birthday cake complete with lit candle on the morning of my birthday. Breakfast was excellent. The room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel is well placed to access the major sites and hop-on-hop-off bus stop about 100 metres away. Fabulous!

The Hotel Barocco in Rome was such a delightful experience. We were treated like royalty from the second we arrived. Check-in was smooth. Our room was perfection, and they even welcomed us with champagne on ice and the cutest little note congratulating us on our honeymoon. The service here was impeccable from the always helpful lobby receptionists to the amazing restaurant staff. Stefano and his entire team in the breakfast dining area were truly a dream to experience in the mornings. They not only took excellent care of our breakfast, but they were also consistently providing professionalism, and seamless fantastic service. The staff truly added to the hotels positive vibes, and pleasant ambience. We can honestly go on and on about the Hotel Barocco. What a wonderful experience, and can’t wait to return.

I never leave reviews but I have to for this stay. This hotel is by far my favorite hotel anywhere. I read previous reviews that praised the staff and how accommodating and helpful they are. The reviews were right. Everyone we came into contact with at the hotel was wonderful. When our breakfast waiter found out we would have to miss breakfast due to an early tour time, he offered to have breakfast bags ready for us at 6:30 that morning to take with us that had pastries, juice and bottled water. The breakfasts were very good and we always looked forward to them. They started our day off perfectly. The hotel itself had a great ambiance. I loved the use of pale stone everywhere. Our rooms were spacious and very clean and the beds were very comfortable. We really appreciated the size of the bathrooms. We were on a girls trip and we easily had enough room for two people to get ready at the same time. The hotel’s proximity to historic sites, shopping, great dining and the metro was perfect for us. I can’t wait to return to Rome and stay at this hotel again.

An amazing boutique hotel in an excellent central location with lots of bars and restaurants within walking distance. I cannot speak highly enough about this hotel. The reception staff Lisa and Alma are fantastic, nothing is any trouble. The breakfast staff also can’t do enough and we didn’t come across any staff who would not go out of their way to help. Rooms are immaculate, breakfast is so classy as its table service. I honestly can’t find fault and I have recommended it to all my friends. Thank you for making our stay a memorable one!

We are so glad we chose Hotel Barrocco for our stay in Rome. The staff was more than wonderful at the front desk, in the dining/bar area, and all the general services personnel. Amazing hotel! Very professional staff, old school hospitality. This was the first stop of our trip and after staying here it was hard for any hotel to match the level of service. Coming from the U.S. it made me realize how much hospitality is lacking in the states. The rooms aren't huge but it's boutique style and we had everything we needed. We had snacks and drinks at the bar and mingled with other guests. Excellent location, walkable to Trevi fountain and convenient Metro stop around the corner. Wonderful breakfast!

We stayed for 3 nights in December 2024. I cannot fault this Hotel in any way. Beautifully decorated and welcoming. Just up a wee a wee side street close to Spanish steps and Trevi Fountain. All staff were amazing from the reception staff with their advice on restaurants and directions. The staff at breakfast so wonderful and attentive. The Barman was amazing with his own twist on drinks for us after a long day sightseeing. Would definately go back to Rome and stay in this Hotel again.

Hotel was central, which was handy. Hotel room was small. Breakfast time had to be booked, and wasn't self-service. Breakfast was mean - one croissant, one cake, one slice of ham, one piece of cheese, etc - to be shared between two of us. There is a cooked option - good if you want a cooked breakfast. Coffee was poor. Expensive - perhaps this is just Rome!

Wonderful stay. Location was perfect for walking everywhere. Desk Staff was always helpful and kind. The breakfast process and attendant was the only downside as you have to reserve a time and if you are more than a few minutes late he starts calling your room and then gives you a talking to when you arrive late. That aside, the hotel was great and we Would definitely stay again!
