The staff were very freindly and helpful. The accommodation is in an excellent spot. Having 24 hour front desk open was brilliant. Also lots of eating places near by, along with public transport very near by. The beds in the room were so comfortable and there was a great range of food for breakfast. We were able to leave our bags at reception at no extra cost once we had checked out which was a great time of 12 noon.

Superfriendly reception staff! We received excellent support with taxi reservation, suggestion for restaurants, shopping advise and other useful tips. Also appreciated that we could store our luggage on the reception area since we arrived very early and had a late flight back. Nice roof top bar both for breakfast in the morning sun and sunset drunks! Can highly recommend this hotel.

Lovely hotel, near to Termini, so great for us catching the train from the airport. All the staff were fantastic and the free breakfast and rooftop terrace where you can have a drink was great.

Vi nød vores ophold meget. Hotellet er forholdsvis lille, af ældre dato, men pænt og rent. Personalet er super venlige og behagelige. Ligger tæt på hovede tog station, og i gå afstand til de fleste seværdigheder. Hotellet er klart anbefaledes værdigt, eneste minus er lille badekabine.

Hotel was in a very good location, the most helpful and pleasant staff that you could expect to meet. The hotel was very clean, bedroom furniture was a little aged , but room was very clean with smart TV. Bathroom again was very clean, and clean towels were supply each day of our stay. I would be happy to recommend this hotel for anyone staying for a short time in Rome.

This is a great 3-stars hotel, in the sense you have everything you need at a very adequate and good level. You go to Rome to see the city, not to spend time in the hotel, thus it does not make sense to invest in the hotel by booking an expensive, luxurious one, and that is where this hotel shines. It is comfy enough, very clean (with daily cleaning), good enough breakfast, and AWESOME staff. Special thanks to Anke who helped us to create our itinerary every morning!

Everything was good. Staff was professional and helpful. At check out, because we were leaving so early, a packed breakfast was given to us to us to take with us. That was a very nice gesture that was greatly appreciated. The location is a comfortably close distance from the Rona Termini station. It’s right across from a mini mart and several good restaurants right across the street. Beds were clean and comfortable, internet connection good, and room and beds were clean. My only recommendation would be to pay more attention to cleaning the tub walls and shower curtain. This wouldn’t stop me from staying here again but it would defintely make me give even high ratings.

The room was clean, bed was comfortable, staff was very pleasant and helpful, breakfast was very good. We will try to book in here for our next trip to Rome. It was an easy walk from Termini. We are frequent travelers and this hotel checked all of our boxes. Try Nerone, a couple of doors down, for dinner - we enjoyed the meal very much and the staff was excellent.

3.5 / 5 Friendly staff, great location, good breakfast and dated decor, with old world charm. Hotel Columbia has super friendly, helpful staff and a perfect location near many restaurants, transportation and sits in the heart of activity a short walk from Roma Termini. Authentic old world Roman feel. Small room. Some noise. Dated, and could use upgrades. Enjoy eating at Nerone next door for delicious food, lively servers and fun atmosphere. Happily held our luggage when we had to switch locations due to unavailability for all of our stay in Rome. Would consider booking here again on a budget in high season.

We loved staying at Hotel Columbia. It has a warm vintage vibe to it. The location was amazing. Three minute walk to the train station and buses restaurants on that street of the hotel and all around shopping, walkable to all the major sites. Our room was lovely. The breakfast was amazing up in the terrace after a long day of touring we would go up there and have a beer or a café latte. Staff is amazing and so helpful with any questions that we had. Thank you Dounia, Nazli, Angela and Diana for making our stay wonderful. Will definitely be back to this hotel next time in Rome.

Wonderful staff, excellent location, large and comfortable room. Nice breakfast. By way of suggestion to make this a perfect property, beds could be firmer, a/c could be colder and water could be hotter.

The staff was excellent. The hotel is clean and close to Termini station. The decor/furniture is fairly old so don't expect a modern hotel. Some things were "OK" like the shower head which didn't adjust as it should and was like standing under a hose. Things like that seem fairly typical in Italian hotels though.

The staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was a good size for the two of us. Good continental breakfast. The wi-fi was not at all reliable and we did have issues with some mosquitoes getting in probably due to the way the windows are designed (no screens). It was great to have an air-conditioned room to come back to after sweating our way through Rome in the summer.

The hotel is very tired! Mold around tiles in the shower, old carpets, the AC was turned off, so I had to open our window and with the window open. It’s incredibly loud and noisy. Rooms need to be updated.

Very good location next to many restaurants, train station, and tourist sights. Morning breakfast was tasty and on a nice place on the top floor balcony. The bed was hard and had very stiff sheets. There was no blanket.

The friendliness of the staff is incredible. I read this in the reviews before I booked and it is absolutely true. I'll give two examples: staff reached out a few days before check-in to ask about my arrival time. I arrived at 11am and the enured room was ready! I also had to leave at 6:30am to catch a flight. The staff provided a 'take away' breakfast as the buffet wasn't open yet. I highly recommend this hotel.

We had a slight problem with the room when we checked in and the staff immediately moved us to another room with no hesitation. In the morning the reception immediately asked if we were comfortable. The breakfast was lovely and the terrace also lovely. We would recommend this hotel in the future.

The staff at this hotel could not have been more helpful. One lady who answered the phone on reception guided us into the street, road by road to help us avoid the ZTL. All staff were then extremely friendly and helpful and made you feel very heard and taken care of. We mentioned it was my husbands birthday and they're was a bottle of fizz waiting for us when we got in on that evening. The hotel is walkable distance from most sites and there are lovely restaurants close by. We could not recommend this hotel more highly. Thank you for the experience.

I would highly recommend this hotel! The woman at the front desk who checked us in (unfortunately, I can't recall her name) was incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable of the city and methods of getting around. The hotel is in a great area and the room itself was beautiful, clean, and spacious boasting high ceilings and perfect little touches throughout the space. I was surprised that this was a three-star hotel being that we had just arrived from staying in a four-star hotel in Paris that was lacking in every way possible.

This hotel is very dated; the rooms, bedding, chandeliers, even towels look like they are from 1975. There was no air conditioning but you could not open windows because there were no screens, leaving the room stuffy and airless. Our room had at multiple mosquitoes in it even though we did not open windows. The hotel staff offered to spray bug spray, which would have landed all over the pillows and bedding we needed to sleep on. We declined. We then found different bugs crawling on the ceiling. Even though the front desk staff offered to give us a different room, we left and found accommodations elsewhere for the night. The only good thing about this hotel was the staff, who were nice and tried to be helpful.

Hotel Columbia was an awesome hotel to stay at in Rome. It was close to the metro station, close to restaurants, and walkable to all main sites in Rome. The staff was excellent and our room was ready when we arrived in the morning from the US. The restaurant upstairs was especially nice for breakfast in the morning. Very quiet and beautiful.

We loved this place. The location is extremely convenient for train travel and close enough to most of the major sights that we could walk, though we did take some taxis to save time. The best thing about the place was the staff, which went above and beyond to look after us, even calling us to see if we planned to use a train the day we were going to check out and to warn us that there was going to be a train strike.
