The hotel is very nice, the room was big (I mean for Europe), it was clean and pretty. Breakfast was included and it was very good. They have a bar but it was closed so I dont know if it is good or no. The reception staff was super friendly and at our arrival they gave us a map, recomendations for eating, they explained how to get to all the tourist places (which were all at 15 mins walking), the farest was the Colosseum but he explain which bus to take and were to buy the tickets which was at the tabacci store just in front of the hotel. There are restaurants and a convenient store. The bus stops are a few steps from the hotel in the same block and there is also a dry cleaning place were you can take clothes to was in the morning and they deliver them to the hotel in the afternoon. We took a bunch of clothes and they charged 20 euros. It was a really good price considering all we took there. The staff at the hotel’s restaurant was kind. The reception people helped us book a taxi to get to the airport. I would definitely stay again in this hotel for my next trip to Rome.

Hotellet samsvarte ikke med bildene på nettet. Hotellet var ganske slitent, sengene ikke spesielt bra, ingen ac som fungerte, frokosten hadde lite utvalg og heisen var et kapittel for seg. Hotellpersonalet var veldig hyggelige og alltid behjelpelige og renholdet topp. Beliggenheten var også veldig fin med mange og gode kollektivmuligheter.

Mini fridge with a few bottles of beer/water/coke (very expensive- there was a paper receipt on the table that appeared to list reasonably priced but was charged significantly more at checkout) Hotel would not be easy for a person with walking and climbing disabilities. Bath had the odd layout of refurbished older building. But everything was clean, worked, and comfortable Two very good restaurants next door, a French patisserie and Italian pizza place.

We stayed at Hotel Diplomatic June 1-2, 2025. Initially we were a little surprised and concerned with the impression given by the small lobby and stairs to access the elevator. However, we arrived early and the gentleman at the desk was very helpful and stored our bags until check-in time. We went to explore the neighbourhood and get some lunch. We came back to find our bags had already been placed in our room. The room was lovely. The staff were extremely quick with any help we requested. They were very polite and accommodating. We felt very safe in the neighbourhood. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Great area! Nice cafe next door. Easy to walk to lots of sights! Could have been cleaner, shower has black mold on tile grout. Didn't seem to be vacuumed as there was hair on the floor. Wanted to charge $50 to check in early. After a long all night flight that's not what you want to be greeted with.

Hotel Diplomatic was lovely for a few days stay in Rome. The rooms are fairly roomy and kept clean. The bed was lovely and comfortable and clean. The breakfast had a good selection of continental, cereal, toast, fruit, pastries and cooked so very nice. The location was perfect as it is right by the river and within walking distance to all the main attractions inc only 10 mins to St Peters Square. Would stay there again, thank you

L’hôtel dispose d’un emplacement privilégié ; à la fois proche des activités et au calme. Plusieurs lignes de bus se trouvent au pied de l’hôtel et on peut y prendre un verre et bien manger. Le personnel est particulièrement agréable et serviable. Ils ont répondu à toutes nos demandes. Trois gros points noirs : la literie (très inconfortable avec creux au milieu du matelas et couverture un peu vieillotte), l’eau chaude (faible débit et met du temps à arriver) et la propreté (chambre faite mais sols et chevets sales avec moutons de poussières )….

A perfect location to tour around the city. About a 20 minute walk from most things and 40 minutes walk to the Colosseum. The breakfast was good and there area plenty of restaurants nearby. The central a/c could be better though they gave me a fan that made a big difference. I'd stay again

Great stay and helpful staff, though some upgrades are needed. We have been here before, and have decided to return in 2026. Next time we will go for breakfast in a nearby cafe. We acknowledge the hotel’s information that the breakfast is above average for Rome, but we think it was a bit limited compared to other hotel in Rome we have stayed in. The shower needs an overhaul. The shower head was partially blocked. Further, the water ran out on the bathroom floor. However, the bath was functional. Very helpful staff, and the room and hotel was nice and clean. Super location.

First things first, this property has no air conditioning and should be immediately changed to prevent false advertising. My first room was supposed to have air conditioning, bathtub/shower combo, and street view. It had none of these. I contacted the agent to change the room to one that had these amenities. Danilo was great and was able to change my room to one with a bathtub/shower combo, and a street view, but unfortunately was told there was no air conditioning in the building. Aside from that my stay was great, the staff was amazing. Danilo was very helpful. The breakfast was simple but nice. The building is located in a very convenient location and is within walking distance of many of the main sights.

Hotel Diplomatic was an excellent choice for us. It was walking distance to most attractions and central for our visits to the Stadio Olympico. The staff were all amazing, really friendly and so helpful. We tried a few of the restaurants immediately nearby and went back to Giudice 3 times, and Bull dog twice. The hotel is quite dated which is part of its charm but for eg the bathroom could really do with renovation, the shower was a dribble and felt old and a bit unclean even though it was actually clean! 1 channel of English programmes on the TV came a bit boring also 😆 We would definitely stay again, to summerise it’s great value for money in a brilliantly convenient spot with lovely people and surroundings

Very convenient location. Breakfast buffet was quite good. However, bed mattress was very soft amd uneven. Room 105 was a weird layout so avoid it. In general the hotel feels a bit tired and could use some sprucing up. But the location in Prati can’t be beat.

davanti all'albergo vi è una telecamera che traccia gli accessi alla corsia degli autobus ed ho preso tre multe in due giorni per scaricare i bagagli. Il personale che mi ha visto scaricare i bagagli non solo non mi ha avvertito, impedendomi di prenderne altre due il giorno dopo, ma mi ha anche detto che tutti i loro clienti sono informati del fatto che non è possibile accostare per lo scarico dei bagagli. L'informazione sarebbe contenuta nella mail di conferma della prenotazione, cosa che ovviamente non è vera. Trovo che sia veramente un contrattempo inaccettabile. Nella mail c'è scritto che il personale si occuperà di accoglierti all'arrivo ed in effetti sono stato aiutato a scaricare i bagagli in pieno divieto.

Love our room though outdated and vicinity area sorrounding it but dont love the staff especially in the dining area,didnt smile at all.especially female assistant serving in the breakfast,feels unwelcome to guest.they need to provide more homey hospitality since theyre working in a hotel,but the staff in the information desk are cheerful and i would give credit to that. Food is mediocre.Overall needs a lot of improvement.

Fantastic hotel. Excellent location in a nice area with many restaurants on the doorstep (handy as they do not offer lunch or dinner) We had the buffet continental breakfast which was decent enough and was good value. Rooms are standard Italian hotel style which worked for us simply somewhere to sleep. Beds very comfy and the room was spotlessly clean Every single member of staff in the hotel (breakfast room, cleaners, maintenance and reception) were all very pleasant and helpful during our stay. Before we came they were very quick to respond to enquiries I had before we came. They also organised private airport from Ciampino for us which was very slick Fantastic place to stay, the reviews we had read before confirmed what we enjoyed. Would absolutely stay here again and recommend

Very well located close to via del corso and via Condotti shopping areas. Walkable area Very helpful and courteous staff. Guan Luca and Vlad In particular helped with information and suggestions and in reserving a comfortable ride to Airport. All in all a good place to park your bags and take day trips. Would recommend without hesitation

We stayed at Hotel Diplomatic June 1-2, 2025. Initially we were a little surprised and concerned with the impression given by the small lobby and stairs to access the elevator. However, we arrived early and the gentleman at the desk was very helpful and stored our bags until check-in time. We went to explore the neighbourhood and get some lunch. We came back to find our bags had already been placed in our room. The room was lovely. The staff were extremely quick with any help we requested. They were very polite and accommodating. We felt very safe in the neighbourhood. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Great area! Nice cafe next door. Easy to walk to lots of sights! Could have been cleaner, shower has black mold on tile grout. Didn't seem to be vacuumed as there was hair on the floor. Wanted to charge $50 to check in early. After a long all night flight that's not what you want to be greeted with.

this is my 3rd time staying here and will always come back. the location is amazing just less than 10 mins walk to the center yet being across the river its not busy and crowded at all and very quiet at night. always feel safe here and the most important thing is the reception and staffs are so very friendly and helpful. cheers

The location is perfect: near Castel Sant d’Angelo within walking distance to the Panteón and Piazza Navona. The hotel reception staff are extremely helpful and friendly. We loved the breakfast, too!

Location was perfect for my plans. The convenience of the bus stop literally outside the entrance was great. The room was as requested , quiet and fairly large. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was good with good water pressure. Climate control was a little unpredictable it was warm enough at this time of year to sleep with the windows open. Enjoyed my stay thank you

The front desk staff were friendly, helpful with our luggage and very clear on the charges from the get go. The room was slightly dated. The location was fantastic with regards to getting around the city. The bus stop was right below the building. The Vatican was 25min walk from the hotel. Over all- the stay was a good one.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Hotel Diplomatic. We appreciated that it is situated in a less touristy area, making it quite quiet at night. The neighbourhood felt safe, and there were excellent dining options nearby (including a very tasty French bistro next door and a delicious trattoria a few streets away). The staff were friendly and multilingual. The only caveat was that our safe was too small for our laptops. However, the staff were able to keep our laptops while we travelled, which was helpful.

Hotel is very convenient for walking to Vatican City and plenty of restaurants and attractions. Colosseo and the Forum are a longer walk (40 min) but there is a city bus stop directly outside the hotel. The shuttle bus (SIT) to FCO also stops two blocks from the hotel so transportation is easy to and from the airport if you plan ahead. Breakfast is good with plenty of options as long as you are not expecting anything hot (fruit, juice, yoghurt, cheese, meat, fresh pastries etc and cappuccino). AC in the rooms is a little weak but we were also staying when it was very hot (over 95F every day) so it might be fine when the temperature is more normal. Not the most modern but clean and well kept.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Hotel very central to alot of sites to be seen in Rome. Breakfast is not suitable for anyone that want to have a healthy breakfast. No greens no tomatos no cucamber. Only wholemeal bread with cheese is reasonable. No choice with egg, only scrambled that doesnot taste good. Probably industrial eggs. Pleanty of cakes and sweet pastries. Unwashed fruit provided which is forbidden to be taken away to be washed and eaten.

We love this hotel! Super close to everything! Staff were always so nice, they are like family ! Rooms are clean and roomy. Breakfast was great! Very yummy with a lot of options! Elevator was always a plus since I can’t walk much. If I ever go back to Rome I’ll love to stay there again!!

Great stay and helpful staff, though some upgrades are needed. We have been here before, and have decided to return in 2026. Next time we will go for breakfast in a nearby cafe. We acknowledge the hotel’s information that the breakfast is above average for Rome, but we think it was a bit limited compared to other hotel in Rome we have stayed in. The shower needs an overhaul. The shower head was partially blocked. Further, the water ran out on the bathroom floor. However, the bath was functional. Very helpful staff, and the room and hotel was nice and clean. Super location.

Hotel in perfect walking distance to almost all historical buildings and sites. Reception was excellent and staff extremely helpful. Breakfast was a unfortunately terrible. Staff in breakfast room unpleasant, unhelpful and extremely sparse with breakfast offerings. Two croissants put out at a time for all guests present, would not let quests put two tables together for four of them. Signs all over letting guests know that NO food allowed to be taken out of breakfast room even to their rooms. On the other hand bedrooms were very clean and tidy and as I said before, reception staff were friendly and very helpful.

Excellent petit déjeuner et personnel très à l’écoute des clients et toujours ultra aimable, qualité des produits parfaite. D’ailleurs si nous devions revenir à Rome nous logerions certainement dans cet hôtel pour les raisons énoncées et aussi pour sa situation bien centrée sur tout ce qui est incontournable comme visites

Breakfast should be upgraded, we ended up going out as there was no choice of food. Location was central and staff very helpful. The breakfast staff was ok too. Air conditioning needs to be serviced at it was not working well and the shower water was not coming out

If you need a basic hotel in a great location - close to Vatican and then cross over the bridge and you're 10-15 mins from tons of sights - this is it. But it is basic. Beds comfy enough. AC was fantastic. Bfast was ok, beats heading out on an empty tummy. And front desk guys were just great! Thank you for a really pleasant stay!
