We rented 2 rooms ahead of time and when we arrived we were told that the air conditioning was down in half of the hotel. They quickly got us another room in a nearby hotel but we were separated from the rest of our family. We were traveling with our kids. The room they put us in in the other hotel was not a three star. Very disappointed, and we'll look to see what can be done since we did not get what we paid for.

The continental breakfast was nice but not a lot of options. The room was cleaned daily. The elevator was unique, very old style.

It’s located very close to termini station among those outdated buildings nonetheless with its glamour of its classic lift. Simple breakfast and you may ask for your coffee of choice. Affordable Choice by the summer vacation period.

日本へ帰る前日に１泊しました。早朝のフライトで３時台のバスに乗るので駅近くで探しました。 6月以降はホテルも高いので早めに取っておいて正解でした。 駅周辺はどこも古い建物のホテルが多いですが、ここは天井が高いので部屋はせまくてもそこまで圧迫感は感じませんでした。シングルルームなので日本のビジネスホテルのように狭いですが、古くても清潔感はあったので気になりませんでした。冷蔵庫はぬるくて、冷えている感じはあまりありませんでしたが１晩なので、もうそのままにしておきました。 チェックインより先に荷物を預けにいきましたが、自分で荷物置きにいれにいくので、気になる方はワイヤーロックなどしておいた方がいいかもしれません。お部屋に行くときも自分で荷物取ります。エレベーターは扉を自分で閉めるとてもレトロなタイプです。小さいです。 宿泊税のみ現金で支払いなので、現金残しておいてください。２４時間フロント対応なので、チェックアウト３時台でも大丈夫でした。到着や出発が遅かったり、早かったりするので24時間対応のホテルは助かります。 徒歩圏内にスーパーが２軒あったので便利でした。 価格帯からすると、この駅近で、古さ、狭さはあるものの清潔感も気にならないので、また駅近で探すときは候補にしようと思います。以前反対側の駅近ホテルに泊まりましたが、そこより天井が高くて明るめでした。 夜は門扉をしめているのでフロントの方が鍵を開けてくれました。明るいうちに確認をしておいたバス乗り場までは夜だと思ったより距離を感じましたが、３時台でもバス乗り降りする人がいたので、そこまで怖くありませんでした。といっても、危ないので十分に気をつけてください。

Good: location Bad: beds, air Conditions, humidity odors, poor organization in check in elevator in bad condition.

Terrible, we checked in and never told AC was out in the whole building. Got to the room to find out about it. Receptionist said nothing he could do. At this time Hotel.com is saying they can do nothing to get a refund on my cancelation because it is non refundable. Fighting it, but terrible service from Hotel.

Room was small but adequate. Older style with some quaint features. Unfortunately there was a smell coming up from all the drains in the bathroom , but placing a dry towel over these when not in use, blocked that significantly. I bought along a travel kettle which was good, as there are no tea/coffee facilities in the room. There were no USB points, so bring plugs. Very well located for termini station and metro and 20 min downhill walk to colloseum. Plenty of souvenir shops, small supermarkets and restaurants around. Was a bit noisy on the street one night, but thats not hotel's fault!!

Excellent location - very near to Roma Termini. Good spread of breakfast. Friendly and cooperative staff, Luggage storage. Would stay again

Other than the location, the rest of the experience was sub par to say the least: • broken shower head • noisy at night (walls seemed paper thin) • the air conditioning wasn’t working properly. Our first night there was way too hot, and after we asked them to make the room cooler, it still wasn’t what we wanted. Avoid at all costs.

Mold build up in the shower and very dirty shower head. Noise level is very loud at night. Dump trucks / garbage trucks nightly around 3/4 am. Lots of yelling also from the local restaurants

The hotel was 2 blocks from Termini Train station. That eliminated taxis to & from the hotel. I was able to take a direct bus shuttle from the airport to the Termini & walk 2 short blocks to the hotel. Then I took the train to the cruise terminal. The breakfast was great: boiled eggs, 2 meats, lots of danishes, multiple beads, specialty coffee & juices, yogurt & fruit. Also, there are many restaurants & convenience stores next to the hotel & area is well lit at night bc of all of the restaurants. It’s a very good choice for women traveling alone who want to be close to the Termini. (It’s safer at night, in my opinion, than some of the other hotels that are close to the Termini). It’s also extremely clean!!

Disgusting! Save yourself from a terrible stay and DO NOT BOOK this hotel. The location is ok close to the train station, rooms are extremely outdated. Shower was dirty and had leftovers of previous guest shampoo and soap packets. I took a photo and showed it to Marco the front desk man downstairs and ask him if someone could come and clean it or if he had another room, his answer was "but is the rest of the bathroom clean? Maybe tomorrow I can send someone (we were checking out the next morning) there's nothing I can do now. He couldn't care less, even after I told him I couldn't shower like that, that the lack of cleaning was not ok and was not acceptable, he didn't even apologize.. in all my years working in hospitality I've never seen anyone so careless, rude and unserviceable.

The proximity to the train station was a great benefit, literally a 4 minute walk. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean although small. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was typically Italian and very well done, with plenty of selections and abundance.

Stanza piccola ma dignitosa

I had a single room. It was literally 6ft wide. It had a small cot to sleep on, a thin flat pillow, the fridge was warm, the wifi didn’t work in the room. I had better internet without using their wifi. There was an outlet by the bed but it didn’t support the weight of my adaptor and the only other outlet was in the bathroom. The “street view” only meant that there was loud drunken noises until 2am and city workers at 5am. If this was a place I spent €30-40 on, I would be ok but they charged almost €100 for this prison room. I went across the street to find another place, but they were full. The worst room I ever had. Breakfast was ok but the staff were not friendly or kind. I had to ask everything (wifi password. Breakfast place, breakfast time. Check out time) because they gave me no information. Maybe a double room is better but the single room is the worst I have ever had.

It can be loud in night, from outside noise. Bed was stiff, room was very small and less options in breakfast. Overall good location from termini and friendly staff.

Staff was very friendly, well one in particular, Marco. Marco was very nice and helpful. Elevator worked, which is a plus as my room was on the 4th floor. The bad part of my stay was the bed. It was awful and uneven. Bowed upward as in the opposite of sagging. Miserable to sleep on.

Terrible and rude staff. Did not bother to say good morning/evening/night, or even smiled. We orderen a room for 3 people (2 adults og 1 child), so when we arrived it was a very small room with a dobble bed. Only two towels, and a room that need a great upgrade. Tried to make us pay city tax for our child (children under the age of 10 do not pay).

C’è un dipendente della reception (con le sopracciglia pettinate verso l’alto, quasi come se volesse assomigliare a Lucifero) che ha dato un pessimo servizio. Avevo fatto due prenotazioni separate per due tipi di camera diversi, perché la stessa tipologia di camera non era più disponibile quando ho fatto la seconda prenotazione, e quindi al check-in ho suggerito di prendere io la camera più piccola per entrambe le notti (senza chiedere un rimborso della differenza di prezzo) e di dare un upgrade a qualcuno che non aveva ancora fatto il check-in…e facendo così, avrei evitato di dover cambiare camera. Mi ha detto che non era possibile (secondo me, sarebbe stato facile, ma comunque…). Poi ha fatto fatica a trovare la mia seconda prenotazione nel suo libro di prenotazioni (l’ha trovata ma ha fatto fatica). Per il check-out, ho chiesto a quello stesso tizio con le sopracciglia strane (l’ho chiesto nella serata che precedeva il check-out) se al check-out potevo avere una scatola d’asporto per la colazione visto che avrei fatto il check-out prima del inizio della colazione (cosa che altri alberghi in passato avevano fatto ed avevano addirittura suggerito loro); lui ha rifiutato. Quella stessa serata prima del check-out, mi ha chiesto di pagare la tassa di soggiorno; ho accettato e lui mi ha dato una ricevuta. Quando sono risalito in camera, mi sono accorto che era la ricevuta della camera però, non la ricevuta della tassa di soggiorno. (Vedere il resto nell’altro commento)

The gentleman at front desk who has worked there since 1989 was so friendly and helped us to book restaurant and taxis was so kind nothing too much bother thankyou people like you make a big difference to someones stay a credit to the hotel thankyou jacqui rose

The room was in the restaurant. Breakfast started at 7am and they were setting up the night before until at least midnight every night, then people would turn up early every morning and sit outside the door clattering about from not long after 6am. One day a man came and opened my door and asked me to open my window because he was glossing a bit on the roof and he wanted to let the smell out of the window. Basically stay here if you look forward to a strong 5 hour sleep each night and random men just opening your door. Pic below the stunning view from my room when you open the door

Wonderful location , friendly and helpful staff , great breakfast. The rooms are outdated though and the blanket was very thin and ripped .

The room was nice and there was a working elevator. Location is great next to Roma Termini.

The Serena Hotel in Rome was conveniently located just a 5 minute walk from the train station. The area was safe and offered many opportunities for shopping, eating, and sightseeing. The room was a little small but it was all I needed and the refrigerator allowed me to keep food and drink in the room. I would stay at the Serena Hotel again in the future.

It was an elegant, clean older hotel with an Italian flair. The room wasn‘t exceptionally large but well laid out. The bathroom had unique, beautiful tile & was very clean. The bed was a little hard, but not bad. It was located a couple blocks from the main train station. The Colosseum & Roman Forum were about a 20 minute walk. There are lots of things to see nearby. It‘s a great location!

Close to Termini station within easy walking distance this hotel satisfied our requirements for a quick transit through Rome.

Sentralt i forhold til bus,tog,metro,supermarked og restauranter. Avstandene til mange kjente serverdigheter var innenfor ca 40min gangtid. Vi syntes det gjekk veldig bra å gå såpass. Vi brukte selvsagt off.komunikasjonmidl. på serverdigheter som var lengst borte.

I wish there was more options with good quality for breakfast and new bed. Other than that, it was okay. The staff at the dining or desk and cleaning lady were so friendly. Location was very good taking less than 10 minutes to Termini station. It was soundproof for outside noise but the kids were running around last night around 2 am and nobody seemed to stop them.
