The good: This hotel is conveniently located, and that is its one redeeming quality. The bad: The photos of the room are very misleading. There is absolutely no space to walk around the bed or to even open your suitcase. Everything is crammed together. The window looks into an internal courtyard which means no sun and you cannot really leave the curtains open as people would be looking at your bed. Breakfast is not great, the OJ is made out of powder. There was no heat available and it was a cold April, with outside temperature betw 5-13 Degrees C. This left us huddling around the hairdryer for warmth, and it is bolted to the wall in the bathroom. Finally, we had an ant colony living in the bathroom. The ants and us shared the heat. Conclusion: Do not recommend. Overpriced and not what you’d expect from a “palace”.

Hotel Ludovisi looks nice online but was a letdown. The walls are extremely thin — I could hear conversations and even phones vibrating in neighboring rooms. Definitely not ideal if you want a peaceful stay. They also made a big deal out of giving complimentary water, acting like it was a huge favor. Between the constant noise and the feeling of being nickel-and-dimed, I wouldn't stay here again. Only pro Is the location and a handful of staff.

Property was Great. Cots were a little uncomfortable for the kids but doable. Refrigerator was very small and limited, very hard to add own stuff inside. Only 2 small complimentary water for a family of 4, was directed to a vending machine for more. thought that was a little cheap.

Clean room .....Good houskeeping.....helpfull staff .....even they didn't offer me a late check out !!! they told me that the Hotel was full !! in fact it wasn't !!! I checked all websites that night and in all of them was planty of available rooms !!!!

I'm surprised that this is considered a 4 star property. The staff was semi-friendly (depending on who you were speaking with), but did not offer to help with bags (even though we were clearly struggling) when we checked into or out of the hotel. Also, we found dust bunnies all around the room, so it clearly had not been well cleaned in some time, and generally felt old and outdated. The location is good in that it's close to a lot of things, but it feels like it's on a back alley behind a massive embassy. We were only there for one night, so it was fine, but I would not recommend it for a long stay in Rome - especially given the price.

This was an EXPENSIVE hotel; but rooms for three people VERY SMAL, elevators SMALL AND VERY SLOW and on top of that I WAS CHARGED 45 EUROS as ROME TAX that should had been included on the already EXPENSIVE PRICE The Hotel tried to charge Euros 40 per day for parking; I left it on block from there in a parking lot and cost me HALF OF IT. Basically I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL to not even my WORST ENEMIES

HEALTH AND SAFETY HAZARD - Mold and broken door I would strongly advise against staying at this hotel. Despite being marketed as a 4-star property, it failed on all basic levels of hygiene and safety. 1. Severe Mold: We found black mold in the shower and green mold growing on the floor next to the toilet. This is a serious health violation that was completely ignored by the staff. 2. Safety Breach: The main door to our room was broken at the frame/lock. It was visibly damaged, making us feel completely unsafe during our stay. 3. Terrible Management: When we pointed out these hazards, the staff was indifferent and even tried to charge us extra to move to a different room. They refused any refund on-site. Hotels.com has been unhelpful despite photographic evidence of the mold and broken doorframe. Save your money and your health—avoid Ludovisi Palace at all costs!

The hotel is in a very nice, quiet, safe location. It is within walking distance to most major attractions (If you don’t mind waking a bit; great way to see the city). The staff is friendly. Breakfast offers many yummy choices. The building is very well maintained, clean, and beds are comfortable. The room I was in could use some minor upkeeps, like wallpaper loose in some spots, phone hanging crooked on the wall, etc., but no real major issues. Overall it is a great place!

This was a wonderful hotel—we arrived from a cruise very early in the morning. Not only did they get us into our rooms way before standard check in, but invited us to enjoy a snack or cappuccino from the breakfast area. They helped us arrange a transport to the airport and were just generally helpful and kind. Rooms were clean, new and spacious. Breakfast was very nice also!

Otel beklentilerimizi yeterince karşıladı, konum olarak merkezi ve nezih bir yerde bulunuyor. Odalar biraz küçük ama 2 kişi için ideal , temizlik olarak çok memnun kaldık, kahvaltıda gayet güzeldi. Bir daha gelirsem yine kalacağımız bir oteldi.

The staff was semi-friendly (depending on who you were speaking with), but did not offer to help with bags (even though we were clearly struggling) when we checked into or out of the hotel. Also, we found dust bunnies all around the room, so it clearly had not been well cleaned in some time, and generally felt old and outdated. The location is good in that it's close to a lot of things, but it feels like it's on a back alley behind a massive embassy. We were only there for one night, so it was fine, but I would not recommend it for a long stay in Rome - especially given the price.

I was awakened 3 times between 1230-130 AM by loud (and apparently intoxicated) people in the courtyard. The staff's response was "Rome is noisy." I had an email from the front office manager asking if they could "do anything" to make it up to me. But two emails back to them have gone unanswered for over 2 weeks.

This hotel rooms are completely different than what I saw on Expedia pics when we stayed. Rooms are in terrible condition. Wall colors were off at certain patches of the wall. Towel holders fall off. The hotel staff was rude. Do not recommend to book this hotel. STAY AWAY!!!

This was a wonderful hotel—we arrived from a cruise very early in the morning. Not only did they get us into our rooms way before standard check in, but invited us to enjoy a snack or cappuccino from the breakfast area. They helped us arrange a transport to the airport and were just generally helpful and kind. Rooms were clean, new and spacious. Breakfast was very nice also!

The hotel is in a very nice, quiet, safe location. It is within walking distance to most major attractions (If you don’t mind waking a bit; great way to see the city). The staff is friendly. There is absolutely no space to walk around the bed or to even open your suitcase. Everything is crammed together. The window looks into an internal courtyard which means no sun and you cannot really leave the curtains open as people would be looking at your bed. Breakfast is not great, the OJ is made out of powder. There was no heat available and it was a cold April, with outside temperature betw 5-13 Degrees C. This left us huddling around the hairdryer for warmth, and it is bolted to the wall in the bathroom. Finally, we had an ant colony living in the bathroom. The ants and us shared the heat. Conclusion: Do not recommend. Overpriced and not what you’d expect from a “palace”.
