Front desk staff was helpful and spoke Fluent English. There is a bus stop close by, but I just walked the old stone streets. They have a nice garden overlooking the nearby hills. Breakfast was well prepared, and the staff preparing they accommodated me.

The staff at this facility were very professional, friendly and attentive. The breakfast is great and the service excellent even if you do not speak Italian. If you rent a car, which we did, they have gated parking in the back of the hotel. (Note: there is a small fee for this but well worth it, because finding parking in Tuscany in general can be like finding the holy grail. A word of advise, if you’ve never driven in Italy, don’t; rely on public transportation🤔😂. It’s a nice walk to the entrance of historical Sienna, where we always felt safe even during the night hours. The room might be a little small compared to American standards, but the view out the window and old wood gave the atmosphere we were looking for. Note: our room had a loft with the sleeping quarters on the upper level, the steps were steep; it was not a problem for us but if you have small children or a disability you might want to ask about it. If you need to know anything as the concierge, they are available 24 hours a day and even helped us order pizza for delivery to the hotel on the last night we were there. There is also a small tax you have to pay that is not included in the booking rate, but believe this is true throughout Italy. Overall a great experience and would stay there again.

Todos os funcionários foram bem educados e respeitosos. Recepcionista até me deu um mapa com pontos turísticos da região. A entrada do estacionamento precisava ser sinalizada, pois não tem como parar na frente do hotel para perguntar. Mas gostei bastante do hotel e viria novamente.

Hotel simples e bem localizado, fora de ZTL area, vista do quarto e do jardim do hotel muito linda. O quarto que ficamos a cama ficava no mezanino, o que achamos um pouco ruim, pois tinhamos que descer e subir escadas no quarto para ir ao banheiro. Funcionários muito agradáveis e prontos para lhe ajudar em tudo. Café da manhã muito bom e local muito agradável. Limpeza Ok. Possui estacionamento mas é cobrado.

It had a beatiful view out to the Tuscan countryside. A nice breakfast was served in the beautiful soroundings of the hotel's garden. You can walk from the hotel to Il Campo in the center of the old city in about 20 minutes. The hotel is only a 12 minutes walk away from restaurants and cafés. It all starts with a welcoming staff, and this hotel has the nicest staff I’ve ever encountered. Add to that the location, the excellent breakfast, and the cleanliness of the hotel, and it’s definitely one of the best stays at a hotel I’ve ever had.

Hotel muito bem localizado na entrada de Siena. Gostaria de agradecer a Lorenza, que foi super gentil e nos deu ótimas dicas de restaurantes. Só achamos o quarto triplo muito pequeno. Meu filho dormiu em uma cama do tipo de armar super desconfortável. Quarto apertado. De resto foi tudo bom. Café da manhã excelente e atendimento impecável.

Host and employees were genuinely very inviting and welcoming. The room we were assigned was in great condition but was a loft style and after a lot of walking was a bit uncomfortable having to go up and down the stairs to get to the bathroom. (We did a lot of walking in Rome and Florence before getting to Siena) Shower pressure and hot water was amazing!!! View and breakfast was the best we had in Italy. Thank you.

Bon emplacement près des remparts et pas loin du centre à pied. Accueil professionnel et charmant. Ce qui est regrettable est d'avoir eu une chambre donnant sur la rue, rue très passante avec bruit de la circulation et pollution. L'hôtel n'était sans doute pas plein fin novembre et c'est donc dommage que le personnel n'attribue pas en priorité les chambres donnant sur le jardin.
Bon emplacement près des remparts et pas loin du centre à pied. Accueil professionnel et charmant. Ce qui est regrettable est d'avoir eu une chambre donnant sur la rue, rue très passante avec bruit de la circulation et pollution. L'hôtel n'était sans doute pas plein fin novembre et c'est donc dommage que le personnel n'attribue pas en priorité les chambres donnant sur le jardin.

Hotel Santa Caterina was wonderful, rooms a bit small, but comfortable. The view of the Tuscan hillside from their garden balcony (where we had breakfast) was especially beautiful. The only flaw was their window shutters did not let in enough light, offering no view, and leaving the room very dark all the tme!!

Upon my arrival I realized I didn’t need to worry about any misunderstanding or looking up how to say my words in Italian, the receptionists “spoke” the courteous smile language, that genuine smile that says more than words and any person willing to go above and beyond have. Only stayed for one day, but surely will come back and stay here longer.

The staff at this facility were very professional, friendly and attentive. The breakfast is great and the service excellent even if you do not speak Italian. If you rent a car, which we did, they have gated parking in the back of the hotel. (Note: there is a small fee for this but well worth it, because finding parking in Tuscany in general can be like finding the holy grail. A word of advise, if you’ve never driven in Italy, don’t; rely on public transportation🤔😂. It’s a nice walk to the entrance of historical Sienna, where we always felt safe even during the night hours. The room might be a little small compared to American standards, but the view out the window and old wood gave the atmosphere we were looking for. Note: our room had a loft with the sleeping quarters on the upper level, the steps were steep; it was not a problem for us but if you have small children or a disability you might want to ask about it. If you need to know anything as the concierge, they are available 24 hours a day and even helped us order pizza for delivery to the hotel on the last night we were there. There is also a small tax you have to pay that is not included in the booking rate, but believe this is true throughout Italy. Overall a great experience and would stay there again.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff was very helpful & friendly. The lobby, breakfast room and back garden are very charming. The garden view is unparalleled. Our room was comfortable, clean & quiet. The breakfast had so many high quality choices to choose from (even gluten free). We highly recommend!!

Hotel Santa Caterina is a charming hotel a short walk from Porta Romana in the southern part of Siena. The staff are very friendly and helpful. My room was fine and clean with a comfortable bed. It had a beatiful view out to the Tuscan countryside. A nice breakfast was served in the beautiful soroundings of the hotel's garden. You can walk from the hotel to Il Campo in the center of the old city in about 20 minutes. The hotel is only a 12 minutes walk away from restaurants and cafés. I can absolutely recomend Hotel Santa Caterina.

It all starts with a welcoming staff, and this hotel has the nicest staff I’ve ever encountered. Add to that the location, the excellent breakfast, and the cleanliness of the hotel, and it’s definitely one of the best stays at a hotel I’ve ever had.

Muy bonito el hotel. Cerca de la puerta Romana para entrar al centro de Siena. Cómodo, rico el desayuno una terraza jardín muy agradable para desayunar o descansar en la tarde. Lo mejor de todo es el trato del personal, todos son muy pero muy amables hacen la estancia muy cálida, sin duda me alojaría en este hotel otra vez.

Chambre bien insonorisée tout près de la vieille ville. Pensez à demander le stationnement car secteur très en demande. La chambre et la sdb sont assez petites. Douche pas très pratique. Le petit déjeuner serait mieux en libre-service.

Bon emplacement près des remparts et pas loin du centre à pied. Accueil professionnel et charmant. Ce qui est regrettable est d'avoir eu une chambre donnant sur la rue, rue très passante avec bruit de la circulation et pollution. L'hôtel n'était sans doute pas plein fin novembre et c'est donc dommage que le personnel n'attribue pas en priorité les chambres donnant sur le jardin.

Hotel simples e bem localizado, fora de ZTL area, vista do quarto e do jardim do hotel muito linda. O quarto que ficamos a cama ficava no mezanino, o que achamos um pouco ruim, pois tinhamos que descer e subir escadas no quarto para ir ao banheiro. Funcionários muito agradáveis e prontos para lhe ajudar em tudo. Café da manhã muito bom e local muito agradável. Limpeza Ok. Possui estacionamento mas é cobrado.

This property was lovely, the rooms were clean and comfortable, beds were a bit firm. We had breakfast included and there was a lot of variety and it was very delicious. The staff was outstanding and very friendly, spoke excellent English. The garden area was beautiful and they had a bar so you could enjoy the beautiful view with a cold drink. It was a short walk into the walled city of Siena which had lots of dining and shopping options. I would recommend this property

Stayed at Santa Caterina for 2 nights when visiting Siena in May 2026. The hotel is conveniently located just outside of the city walls (Porta Romana) with easy 15-20 min walk to the Duomo and all other major landmarks. We didn't pay enough attention about requesting the parking before the arrival and were very frustrated at ourselves (good luck with finding the parking spot outside of the ZTL), but the gentleman at reception desk saved us by finding the spot in their very limited parking lot. We are very grateful! The breakfast was delicious, and the view from the hotel garden was magnificent, all way down to Monte Amiata 70 km to the south! Highly recommend!

Very nice hotel in a good location on the edge of Sienna. Spacious room, with comfy bed and good storage space. Hotel although lovely, feels a bit dated and tired and misses a few of the modern touches. Would recommend and would stay again.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights and had a wonderful experience. The garden was beautiful and we enjoyed our coffee out there and our wine in the evenings. It is very close to the enchanting town with shops and restaurants. The staff was very helpful.
