Lack of elevator, specially when your room is in top floor is very inconvenient. Although staff help with luggage. Location is great, nice breakfast and very helpful staff.

Great location as main sites in Venice are very walkable from this hotel. Do note that there is no elevator, which made bringing up our large and heavy suitcases up 4 flights of stairs a bit challenging.

Older hotel and was traveling solo so was fine for me. Small but was nice. Location was in the middle of everything but that makes it hard initially when you have luggage to get from the boats and all the stairs and paths that come with Venice. Once you’re there then its a great location but checking in and out is difficult to get there.

The hotel is in a little alley (as is everything on Venice) so was difficult to find . We took a water taxi to it that dropped us off a few steps away though. As these are old buildings there are no elevators and the entrance is a staircase so would be difficult for a person with mobility issues. The rooms are small as are the bathrooms . The shower is the tiniest shower i have ever seen (smaller than cruise shops) so don’t drop the soap or even think about shaving your legs!!! That all being said, the staff is super friendly and helpful . Check in was easy . The rooms and bathrooms are clean. The shower pressure is good. The beds are firm but comfortable . They have a huge breakfast buffet which was nice for 15 Eu. This property is close to St Marks Square, Rialti bridge and the opera House. There is a nice restaurant right beside the hotel as well. Everything was walking distance . Including a lot of restaurants and shops around every corner! There is a nearby party venue that played music till midnight the first night so bring earplugs . It only happened one night though. They have coffee, water and soda for sale , nothing included . There is a 7 euro a day charge per person city tax . There are no refrigerators in the rooms but they will store anything for you in their frig or freezer so if you have meds that require refrigeration they will take care of it. I saw several people request their leftovers from their frig too. Monica andMarco at the front desk were awesome!

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Mercurio. While the old building only has stairs, we were able to manage the 3 flights up to our room. The hotel staff was attentive and friendly. The room was small but suited us well.

This hotel is perfectly located within 5 min walk to St.Marks Square but there are no elevator in the building so if you have large suitcases it’s a problem or simply walking up to top floor if that’s your room. Staff is helpful and will get your luggage up or down for you , water taxi costs are high so be prepared, we paid EU 180 to get to the airport and then another 40 to the terminal

Property was lovely staff very friendly only down sides no lift and a lot of stairs if you are on the top floor, and a little bit noisy I had bells chiming each morning and could hear the other rooms alarm clock every day

I had a delightful stay at the hotel Mercurio. The staff were very helpful and there was a nice atmosphere at the hotel. The location is superb. My room was tidy but spotless and comfortable with air conditioning. The breakfast spread is varied and delicious.

The building is old and not super clean but if you’re only staying for a couple of days, it is pretty tolerable. Staff are very nice and attentive and you are literally 5 mins walk from all main attractions and close to the ferry station. But I personally paid what I considered a bit too much for one night. Perhaps because of the location so no major complaints.

Very convenient check in. Room was clean. 5 minute walk to water bus station. Close to tourist areas and ports for boat tours. Staff was very helpful with answering questions

Overall we had a very nice stay. The room was clean and ac worked well. There were a lot of stairs to get up to our room. We were on the top floor but that’s probably to be expected for the area. Since we had to catch a train before breakfast was served they put together a bag for us on the day of departure. Staff was friendly and answered all our questions. Area was good and very close to st marks square.

Hotel staff was amazing! Property needs updating and and has a mildew moisture issue. You can keep the authentic look and still update facilities. Very inconvenient to get to with luggage. Back packers are best suited. Old linens, drapery, and bedding. Just felt a bit dingy.

The hotel is located in the heart of Venice and is very affordable. There is no elevator so if you are arriving with heavy luggage you will not enjoy the trek to your room. The showers are very small. If you are an average sized person you will not be able to touch your toes or shave your legs easily. There is A/C in the rooms so that's wonderful at least until you hit the hallway.

Staff was very kind! Right in center of everything whether it’s shops or restaurants and bridges and gondolas for pictures. Easy to find. Room was very spacious and bathroom was very spacious as well! They’re some stairs in the entrance and go get to rooms that can be difficult w luggage (no elevator), but staff is kind enough to offer a hand! Really great! I recommend 10/10

The hotel is very centric to the centre, the service was fabolous. Myself & my sister were delayed and we arrived at the hotel at 4am, I did message them but they welcomed us even so late with a friendly face and very professional. We have no issues, we asked for help on thr service arouns town, were given a map and how to move around. Lovely stay and hotel.

The staff in the reception and room service are awesome. Very kind and helpful. Especially Monica was going over and beyond to accommodate us with our last minute change in plan. The breakfast is excellent and waitress are very hospitable. Will return to stay in my next trip!

Hotel also arranged porter to carry luggage to the water bus back to the Airport, and helped carry luggage up and down the staircase. Excellent buffet breakfast choices, including vegetarian/vegan. Close to a number of restaurants and shops. Within 5 minutes walk of Piazza San Marco.

after a not so favorable stay in Florence, this hotel is a gem. Everything you need, and nothing you don't. very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast is additional, but compared to what you would spend at a cafe, I say go for it! Will stay there again!

Sehr tolles Hotel in San Marco. Das Hotel befindet sich in einer nicht zu sehr frequentierten Seitengasse, so dass sogar das Schlafen, in einem sehr bequemen Bett, mit offenen Fenster möglich war. Accademia, San Marco und Rialto sind in 5 Minuten zu erreichen. Das Personal ist super nett und zuvorkommend. Frühstück ist vielfältig und reichlich. Gerne wieder und Danke für sie Gastfreundlichkeit.

This was an absolutely beautiful hotel in the heart of Venice! Pay the extra price for the balcony room, it is worth it! It is right across the canal from where Mozart once lived. The room was beautiful with magical views. The staff was helpful and friendly and helped us get a water taxi set up on our last day. It is in walking distance from the main court area, shopping, restaurants, and many major landmarks. You can’t beat this location! I would say the only slight downside is trying to get there from the train station (we paid 125 euros to get a water taxi there), the shower is tiny (but has wonderful hot water), and the smell of sewage when you first walk in can be a little rough (but it airs out quickly). we absolutely loved this beautiful hotel! I would stay here again for sure!

Venice genuine, likable, very good staff, excellent breakfast. If you don’t mind space a bit tight and narrow staircase, probably as many classic Venice buildings anyway, this is a/the real thing. I’d gladly come back. Thank you.

Super location, lovely staff and a very good breakfast! The rooms are a little small, but this is Venice and the convenience of having everything on your doorstep makes up for it! The breakfast is super! Wish we had skipped the local cafe which was mediocre and had breakfast here on both days.
