Super 8 by Wyndham Foley North Gulf Shores

Stayed 2 nights, we had to go to front desk to get toilet paper, coffee, creamer etc. Our room was not cleaned at all. Breakfast ran out of items and was not restocked. I requested first floor, was given second story, climbing stairs. Laundry facilities were out of service.

Rooms smelled, bathroom smelled worse like urine. There was a hole in wall and they also have roaches. The pool was green and the didn’t get to swim during our stay.

My stay was good, no problem. Telephone in room was not connected. Ice maker was on the blinks but fixed the night before checking out.

Not good. Air conditioning didn’t work. It leaked all over floor. No ice machine in working order

They probably a breakfast , but for example , I'll give it a low star rating is because the yogurt was room good way to get sick. And I got in there early right after to placed it out there. And the parking is very limited.

This place was much better than most of the reviews I read. It's a basic, no frills motel but great value for the price. We stayed in room 119 and it was very quiet and clean! The ladies at front desk were extremely friendly and helpful. The pool was small but clean. The location was great as you can easily walk to restaurants and shopping. Was about 15 minute drive to the beach.

The staff was friendly and accommodating. The property is in desperate need of repairs and renovations. For example, there was a pretty significant crack where the door should close and seal, and a cricket got in and kept us up one night. The pool was especially dirty.

The property was a little rundown. The pool was filthy! Gloops of hair was in the pool. The hair dryer didn’t work & the water took forever to warm up. There was only 3 pillows per bed that were small.

Room smelled terrible, stains in bedding, room AC not working properly and rusted, we checked out as quickly as we checked in. Parking was difficult with a truck, very busy area at 10 PM. Lots of noise, people hanging around. Pool is extremely small. Pictures are very misleading.

The rooms were horrible had feces on walls sink handles were broke the management did give us another room but it wasn't much better

Room floors were absolutely disgusting. Had to wear shoes the whole time. Sink handle broken and shower handle broken. A decent stay on a wimb but not for a longer atay.

What I didn't like: tub and sink didn't drain, there was a hole in the wall. Microwave was old and dirty, fridge didnt work, walls, door jams, window frames, switches etc. were dirty. Tv screen was was dirty. There was cobb webs. The breakfast area was dirty. I didn't get to enjoy this small amenity because, it wasn't appetizing. It was all gross to me. Super 8 would have a much better review if they had staff that was trained properly to clean. They need to understand, when people stay there, you should be treated as a guest and pay attention to detail in cleaning details. I cleaned swithes, ac panel etc. The cloth was black. I should never have to come in and clean the room Im staying in.

It was the worst place I’ve ever stayed in. Was so dirty and had so many roaches including out by the doors. Mold on the ceiling. Even foot prints from shoes when roaches being smashed. Fridge had rotten food in it and the floor made your feet turn black from being so gross.

Supposed to had breakfast didn't have it nasty in the check-in office just nasty and bedbugs 😡

Floors were not clean at all, had to use the towel to walk around on the floor or your feet would get dirty. There was mold on the walls by the bed and by the bathroom door. There was two half rolls of toilet paper in the bathroom. Was not our greatest experience with hotels.com reservation.

Had to wait an hour after check in time for a room I booked weeks prior. On top of that the floor was super dirty. Turned the color of your foot instantly. The shower head and the tub stopper was broken but barely useable. Had no fire alarms or the sprinkler for a fire either. Big safety hazard!!

The staff was nice. Our room smelled like mildew and there was an issue with the AC leaking badly enough there was a container beneath the AC in the outside, They thankfully had a cancellation and were able to move us over but hopefully the do something about that AC unit in 222

The room was clean but shabby. Hole in the bed spread and curtain hung with a zip tie. No place in the room for two people to sit but on the bed. Dog in the pool area. We will probably look for another location when going back to Foley.

The room was clean and bug free. The bed was good. The pluming was falling out of the walls, shower head. No handle on faucet for bathtub. No hot water to take a shower. This is my opinion only, but for the price, I guess it was to be expected. I just needed a couple of hours sleep so I got a budget rate motel. The shower was the main issue. TV had a fuzzy picture. I did not get the room to watch tv.

The shower was falling apart and only got hot half the time, after you let it run for 10 min. The hot water side of the sink did not work. There was something brown and hard on the toilet paper. There were 2 TVs neither were hooked up. Only one had a remote and got it working after hooking it up to my hot spot and my Roku. The other didn’t work. People were partying in the pool till 5am. Mentioned all this to the gentleman man Saturday morning and he looked at me with a lost glare and just said I’m sorry. We were stuck paying 165 a night for cold showers and interrupted sleep.

Well it was clean. I had 2 TVs one was hanging on wall but it didn’t work. The other one sat on the dresser I had 2 remotes one to turn TV and to raise volume. The other remote was to change channel. We used pool towels to shower because hotel didn’t have regular towels. And I couldn’t get an iron to iron my clothes hotel didn’t have any.

Well for the priced paid i expected a little better out of the room. Unfortunately, no hair dryer but the was a holder in the wall for it. No toliet paper roll on the wall but we had toliet paper. Coffee pot didnt work but we were able to get coffee at the office. Air conditioner in the room was awful didnt cool off the room at all no way to turn it down seems the buttons are stuck. Walls are definitely dirty and not maintained recently. This was good for a quick one night stay. Staff was very friendly.

Lets start wih the first room after touring of the city it is now time to shower for the night i went in to get the area clean and sanitized when i attempt to turn the water on to the tub there was no knob it appeared that pliers had been used. So i walk to the office to check on how to turn the water on the clerk was siprised that the knob was missing so she came to check on it and changed us to another room, this room was ok just 4 room down from the other room now remember its is cold very cold after we get settled into our 2nd room on the same day...as we sleep that night the heat starts blowing out cold air...no heat so the next morning we walk down to the office to ask about the heat the clerk stated that she would let the maintenance man know so around 1030 2 hour later i called to the office and this clerk stated that the maintenance man was not coming in for me to come get another room key to move the third time ..we moved 2 room down this room was just cleaned seem fine until we noticed the wall decor nearly falling off the wall over the second bed....we left for a day of touring the city when we came back with arms full the key didnt work, so back to the office, the clerk came down could opened the door and said it was the batteries...that night around 7 the boys were ready for shower no water they turn the water off until 1100...every time we wanted to get in we had to get a clerk to let us in....i will never ever stay at a Super 8 again....nice staff...

My first room was okay until the light bulb blew out in the bathroom so we called to.get it fixed no one came. The next day the tv, microwave, and refrigerator went out . I called the front desk to have them check it out, but no one came until I called back 4 hours later. She did change my room after that.

Best staff we have had on our roadtrip accross the country really great property for the cost.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. My digital doorlock failed at 5:30 am and the staff fixed it right away.

Well well we payed very good price for 3 nights to be honest we didn’t expect so much. But any ways yes we found some issues we saw a cockroach and we told the guy at front desk and quickly we offered to move us to an other room but we denied bcs he also offered to clean the room better and we agreed to that I am also a person who is ready to manage situations like this and we also inspect the room and spray some disinfectant and bug spray… so I don’t know what others expectations are but we want to pay low price don’t expect too much.. I also want to mention that we were there around 9:30 pm the pool closes at 10 pm but the guy at front desk said that we were able to swim but not lot of noise and we appreciate that he was very very nice and he also was checking the parking lot very often, pool clean and also my car didn’t want to start we went to front desk and this morning was a white women and she helped us find someone with cables for battery… well we were so happy finding nice people out here….

Clean rooms, no bugs, excellent staff, clean pool, safe well lit grounds and parking lot, no illegal drug smells which is very unusual

The property did not uphold my reservation for my stay despite the fact that I had called and confirmed my reservation the day prior to my arrival. There were several large events going on in Foley that weekend and I paid $500 more for my last minute reservation than I had booked the reservation for. In my brief time in the reservation office, I found the hotel to be dirty and cluttered. The guy at the desk Scott was rude, dismissive and unapologetic about the whole situation. They overbooked. Own it. A lot could have been done including calling customers with reservations. Notification earlier in the day would have saved me about $150 off the reservation I made at 11 PM. Bottom line, do not book here if you really need a place to stay or your bail out, if you can find one, might be very expensive. Also, I asked Scott to at least refund me immediately since they didn’t have my reservation. He didn’t do that either. I was calling Expedia at 1:30 AM and it still didn’t roll off my credit card immediately.

Scott was very helpful in meeting our needs and doing whatever he could. We stayed here last year and the maintenance has definitely declined in a year. The floor of the room was grimy and there was mold on the ceiling, probably from an overflow from above. we had asked for room 203 but it was not available so we had to take a downstairs room with one bed. I would think if you reserved a room way ahead of time and left your credit card information you should be able to accommodate this kind of request.

Much older property, could use renovation. Ramp leading to pool somewhat misleading with paint scheme. But staff extremely helpful and professional.

I like that staff was friendly and well mannered it was quiet and room was clean i have stayed here many times and never any problems we will be coming back and price was reasonable

The property was located in the middle of every thing you would need on a family trip

The rooms were updated wonderfully. Lighted well, 2 sinks, good storage. The only negative about the room was that the tub was slippery. The area is walking distance to food and shopping. Great location.

This place is centrally located near amazing restaurants, and the Tanger Outlets.

Conveniently located in the middle of Foley, close to the both Gulf Shores and Orange Beach with plenty of dining options. The stay was clean and comfortable.

There was a couple things that could’ve been upgraded and clean better but for the price and a 2 night stay couldn’t beat it. Close to shops restaurants and gulf pier was like 20 min drive

So, let me start with, it wasn’t bad but just not great. Front desk was very helpful, friendly, and nice when we checked in. We had a room on second floor, suppose to be non smoking, got up there and it wasn’t, but key card wouldn’t work anyway, had to go back to office and she fixed it immediately, and got us a nonsmoking room. I personally didn’t feel comfortable safety wise, I was traveling with 4 teenagers, but all was good. The room was clean but could have been cleaner, the shower wouldn’t work, and water was cold. Coffee maker didn’t work. And I saw a couple of roaches. Beds were not very comfortable. And there was a musty smell. I personally would not stay again there. And the breakfast is like a “Togo” type honey buns, yogurt and cereal. Coffee wasn’t good and it had grains in it.

The metal beds are noisy. Sounds like someone banging on duct work every time someone gets up to pee in the middle of the night. Breakfast bar could use a little work. But it was clean and comfortable.

Breakfast was not a Breakfast of any type. More like a snack. Muffin and coffee.

The lady at check in time was very nice and friendly. The guy at check out was not happy. Your apple juice machine was empty and he had an attitude but he did go and fill it up. Our room's floor was yucky feeling, very dirty and slimy feeling. Our shower wasn't draining well so I tried to clean it out some and pulled out very long dark hair. On a positive note...our bed was very comfortable.

There was no where to park close to the room i had to tote my small grandchildren & luggage across the entire parking lot. The room smelled terrible sink was backed up walls were visibly patched up & never repainted. No one cleaned the room our entire stay nor did they come check if we needed fresh towels or bedding. Half the time we had to wait for them to restock the breakfast

The hotel in in average condition overall. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is not so good. To much processed foods!

Do a better job cleaning. And same price as comfort suites next door, but they have a full breakfast.
