La Quinta by Wyndham Birmingham Homewood

First impression with Front Desk staff - NOT GOOD. I was ignored until she finished texting. No apology or acknowledge, she just made me wait. My room was clean but the floor needed sweeping. However, the ladies who cleaned my room were GREAT. As a NON-smoker, the smell of smoke in the halls and in my room smelled like weed and cigarettes. I won't book at LaQuinta in Homewood, AL again. I will just pay more at a different hotel.

Very clean , elevator was noisy though.

As to be expected. However the bed was VERY comfortable, which is all I needed for this 1 night stay — a place to sleep.

100 deposit when arriving

This was by far the nicest smelling hotel I have ever stayed in. Whatever air freshener they used keep using it. I appreciate that the rooms did not have carpet but new vinyl floors. We just needed a place to stay for the night and got will be paid for.
