SPRINGWOOD HOTEL, Opelika I-85 Columbus Pkwy

I stayed there on 08/10 and the place was disgusting. The bathroom had a used bar of soap in the shower and no toilet paper. The space was extremely dirty, and the bedsheets were stained with what looked like urine. I even had to go to the store to buy clean sheets and bedding just to get through the first night. The only reason I stayed the first night was because the entire town was sold out for a football game. This is far below basic hospitality standards. In my opinion, no one should stay here due to health concerns.

I did not check in because the hotel lobby was locked and the man who greeted me required that I walk to a nearby gas station to use my credit card there to check in. The gas station at that time was a crime scene with numerous police cars, fire trucks, and ambulances present. Crime scene tape surrounded the property. Police were still there an hour later when I left the area and stayed at Motel 6 (which I booked through Expedia).

When I walked into the room it had a very bad smell in it. Roaches were everywhere. I had to go buy roach spray and a conform set for the bed. The water was brown. It was by far the worst place I've ever stayed in and I'll never even stay there again.

Was A real rat Hotel

Got to the room and it had roaches in the bed and on the walls in the bathroom. Sheets were stained on the bed and smelled like mold. Tried to get a refund for the stay and was denied. I took photos and videos. This place needs a health and safety review.
