Sierra Inn Near Fort Huachuca AZ

Older but clean property. We only stayed one night and left early in the morning, we’re not able to get ice for cooler because it was locked up, seemed odd to me that access to the ice machine has hours.

Friendly staff. EV station took a charge- like a champ. Very flexible. Great view of the Vet Park and holiday lights- always. Sierra Vista- is one of the best kept secrets of Arizona. This Inn represents well.

The entrance door had gaps around the door and did not feel like it was safe and we were concerned that small bugs/insects would enter the room. No elevator to carry luggage up to second floor. Cost of laundry facilities was expensive.

Good basic hotel chosen to keep costs down. Breakfast buffet needs attendant. Need real milk for cereal and coffee, not oat and powdered. Also, someone left a stuck waffle in the machine and no attendant to clean it, many people left wanting waffles. Room could use one comfortable easy chair. Bath could use lotion for those not prepared for extreme dryness of this area. Very nice towels. Would have used EV car chargers had I known about them, and brought an adapter—I don’t have a Tesla.

Good parking and convenient location. Room was spacious and decent. The only thing needing service was a slow draining sink. The hotel could be more Eco Friendly by eliminating single use plastics. Dispensers could replace shampoo/lotion bottles. The breakfast was served with styrofoam and plastic utensils. Plastic bags were used to store breads, fruits & muffins and were unnecessary and wasteful.

We stayed at Sierra Inn for a three nights to visit our son at Ft. Huachuca. The Sierra Inn is fairly basic motel-style but clean and quiet. It was supposedly sold out during our stay but we didn't see too many people. Plenty of parking around the inn. We had a two-queen-bed room - they appeared to have recently replaced the flooring from carpet to plank. Beds and pillows were all OK - I am usually not too picky. We do like the fact that there are two sinks (one in the bathroom and one outside). Very convenient for families, as we also had our younger son with us on the trip. They did serve a continental breakfast - with bagels, cereals, waffles, hard-boiled eggs, & coffee - not really much to brag about but nice to have in the morning. Overall, we had a pleasant stay.

Nice, quiet place. Small independent hotel. The ladies at check in and check out were very friendly. Good night's sleep in a king bed. Air conditioner and tv worked great. Nice pool, and small breakfast in the morning. Nothing fancy, but everything worked and it was clean. It is only 2 stories. No elevator, just stairs. The towels could have been bigger and thicker. Overall, nice little place. Also, they have 3 charging stations for EVs.

We were late getting to the hotel and everything including the ice machine is locked up. But otherwise it was a very nice stay. Clean friendly and a nice pool.

Property was sufficient for my needs and the staff was attentive.

Room smelled bad, the floor was dirty, and the bed sheet were dirty and had stains. Not to mention there was a weird needle in between the sheets. Microwave didn’t work well either

Despite the low price, this property could not meet minimal expectations. On at least two occasions, breakfast was not available during the advertised timeframe. Housekeeping was neither consistent nor thorough. During my second week, I noticed that there was significant mold in the in-room coffee pot from a previous guest. In addition, the microwave did not work, and a new one was not provided even after asking twice. The staff are generally kind. The wifi was adequate. Lots of eateries near by.

How this hotel got a high rating is perplexing. First, I have a small dog and the hotels.com website said there was a $50 deposit. When I checked in it was a $50 non-refundable deposit. Luckily, and after showing them the hotels.com website, they only charged me the $10 per night for my pet. Second, the bathroom sink drain was clogged (the maintenance guy fixed it) and there were many flies coming out of the overfill vent. This was disturbing. I had to block the vent with tissue paper to keep out the flies. Third, the one lounge chair in the room was so dirty I couldn't sit in it. Fourth, it was obvious the floor had not been mopped or cleaned and quite a while. Fifth, the bed was very comfortable. Sixth, the reception person was very kind. In conclusion, the rating for this location was why I stayed here. I won't trust those ratings again after this mess.

The check-in was fine. Got to the room. It looked like they swept some of the floor dirt and debris behind the door. Table had not been cleaned there was spilled food on it. Microwave inside and out was dirty. Sink drained very slow and counter top dirty. TV remote needed new batteries, TV was set up in Spanish. It took the front desk 15 minutes to get it back to English. Next morning found a dead roach beside my bed. Shower floor dirty. Do not recommend this place at all. One of the dirtiest Hotels I have stayed in.

Everything is good for the price. I like the Hotel. The only thing that I didn’t like it was duty carpet not good for babies. My wife was walking on the carpet without wearing sandals, and then she went to bed, I saw the surface of her feet, they were black.

Room was spotless, comfortable, quiet and spacious. Nice amenities like a fridge and microwave. Price was excellent. However, what happened to breakfast? Office was closed and locked. We could see through the windows that the breakfast area was not set up. Tried ringing the doorbell with no response. Left just after 7:30 for McDonalds.

There js no door seal on room 218, you can see through a crack in the door from outside to inside. Not very safe, glad i carry. I wish i would have taken pictures, be careful.

This hotel is dated, but it was clean. It’s located right on a very busy street and it was very noisy so we didn’t sleep well. Cars are racing down the street at all hours of the night and early morning. If you’re sensitive to noise like me, it’s not for you. Or ask for a room at the back of the hotel. Not a real breakfast either, but McDonald’s is just up the street.

I Have absolutely nothing bad to say about this property. The staff were super friendly & the room was very spacious & clean.

The very nice woman at check in allowed me to park my motorcycle under the front entrance to the building as there looked to be rain in the area. Very nice woman.

In short: Customer service is poor and the owner is a lier. Here is my experience: The room was clean but could have been cleaner. The property was a bit disgusting. We counted more than a dozen canine dejections walking from the front desk to our room. The main issue we got during our stay is related to the EV chargers. We called before we booked our room and were told chargers are free of charge for customers. That's a little bit of a lie as indeed they did not charge us an extra 30USD that charge for non guest to use it but using it we got charged an astonishing 75c/KWh which is by far the highest price I've ever paid to charge my car. For exemple, in sierra Vista the utility company charge people 18c/KWh on average, charging my car on the highway cost 36c/KWh and it would have been free at the Hampton Inn nearby or around 24c/KWh at the Best Western down the road. I complained to the front desk multiple times, they told me the owner would contact me which he never did. Luckily one night the new front desk agent messed up as she called the owner in front of me so he had no other choice than to talk with me on the phone. He told me he will work on resolving the issue and also will refund me at least partially. All I have to do is send an email with all the details which I did two weeks ago. He never replied, I called the front desk three times and they confirmed the owner received the email. There is only one logical conclusion they just don't care about their customers.

First of all. 3 rooms for 2 nights. Reservations were all messed up. Had to argue. And Expedia hung up on me when I called them. And made arrangements to have office open at 630 am to get coffee. And had to wake the attendant up at 705am to at least make coffee. Other were waiting for breakfast also. Not with the money or hassles.

There were 2 things that kept this from being a 5 star stay. 1. When you book through hotels.com, apparently you have to call the hotel and ask to have the room you booked. We booked a king bed and were given 2 queens. When we asked to move we were informed that they could give us a king for only one of the 2 nights we booked and then be switched back to the queens because they had other guests coming that asked for kings. They said we didnt call them and ask them for a king. We assumed that when we booked a king we would indeed get a king. The other thing was the room wasn't as clean as it could have been. There was stuff on the floor that made me wonder if it had been swept. Honestly if they did a little better with cleaning and actually gave you the room you booked its a comfortable, no frills, budget stay.

Breakfast provided but will need to drive for other dining options. On busy street but fairly quiet and convenient.

Central location

The property was conveniently located to the city of tombstone Arizona, the location we were there to visit. We stayed an extra day because it was conveniently located.

It's a nice clean, quiet place in a nice area with very convenient access to local restaurants in Sierra Vista. It also offered a short, scenic drive to Tombstone on a busy holiday weekend.

Nice quite area

The room was clean and the bed was ok. We were able to have our dog stay for an additional charge. The only thing that was uncomfortable and felt unsafe was there were people sleeping by the trash can outside close to our room in the back.

Close to everything in town from eating to shopping

Pole lamp did not work. When I tried to move it to another Outlet, it stuck to the floor! Otherwise room was clean. Was glad there was a recliner in the room as that is where I sleep.Breakfast was a disgrace. There was no hot coffee for the 3 days I stayed there. When I complained to staff, they did not offer to make some fresh. Waffle iron and dispenser were on counter, but no pancake mix to be found. When I complained about no waffles or hard boiled eggs on the second day, the staff said that other people were there earlier and perhaps they ate all the eggs. The staff person just kept saying, "I'm sorry you feel that way," but made no attempt to make the breakfast live up to how is advertised on the marquee outside the hotel. I will never stay there again and have already told several friends about what a disappointment it was.

Staff support was very lacking. Breakfast was a joke, very little to eat, no coffee either day.

Very disappointed! I chose the hotel because of location and free breakfast. When I went for breakfast at 7:15 am on the 18th, the door was lock and the lights were off. That was just bad management. Someone obviously over slept.

Room was clean, Ac was quiet ( wish it would of push out more air) breakfast was limited to toast , waffles and boiled egg..if you like buns and grits you had it and a few others. We stayed 2 night the second morning we went somewhere else for breakfast.. Overall it was fairly descent. You got what you paid for.

better than average breakfast items

Liked everything about property! Didn't like the breakfast, their sign advertised waffles, there were no waffles. The bread for the toaster was too big for toaster. The person who was to open did not get to office until about 5 minutes to 7, so breakfast was late, not sure if employee was a last minute replacement or not. Would stay again to see if breakfast would be better as room was great
