They did not mention that the entire property was under construction. There was loud sawing and drilling going on right across from my room all day. Drywall dust and the smell of burnt metal being cut permeated my room. The workers were literally cutting metal in the hall with sparks shooting onto the carpet as I walked to my room. The gym that I chose the hotel for, was closed. The shower was old. Each time I went to use hot water in the sink or shower, it took 5-10 minutes to get hot water. The pillows appeared to be from a kid's bed as they were half the normal size and not meant for a king bed. Not impressed.

We chose this hotel because we needed a room with three beds and were traveling with our dog. It turned out to be a great choice! The hotel was very clean, well-maintained, and pet-friendly. We appreciated that all the rooms were non-smoking and that breakfast was included with our stay. We stayed for two nights, and housekeeping refreshed our room each day. Although there’s a bar and restaurant on-site, we didn’t get a chance to try them. Parking was free, which was a plus, although the lot did fill up quickly. During our stay, the temperature reached 110°F, so the pool was an absolute highlight—refreshing and perfect for cooling off. There were a few sun umbrellas available for shade, which was much appreciated. One of the most unique and romantic features of this hotel was the view of the planes landing nearby—it added a special touch to the experience. Overall, a lovely stay!

There was construction going on and we weren’t informed by the hotel or hotel.com They couldn’t offer any kind of refund since we were staying. Mind you we came from California leaving to find another hotel wasn’t going to be an easy task with 5 kids. The hotel had workers everywhere dust and dirty floors. The manager did offer points to use in a later stay. The gym was closed. Lucky the pool was open for the kids but was a bit dirty. Breakfast was ok make shifted in there check in room in the back of hotel. Called for towels took over an hour. Was disappointed neither the hotel or hotels.com did much to accommodate our concerns. It was either stay and deal with it or leave and then we’ll refund you in 72 hours

The property/lobby smelled terrible. Like water leaks and dirty laundry. Laundry room was wide open to guests. Pool area only had one umbrella that half way worked. (102 degrees outside). Air conditioning in my room did not work. This was quickly rectified, by switching me to another room, with complimentary snacks and Gatorade provided for my trouble. The service man was very very nice. The rooms were fine and clean. The lobby and pool area were the primary issues. Shuttle to/from airport was primary to decision to stay here as well as cost.

Elevators were dirty , our room had unpicked up trash from prior guests and it seems the pool is not cleaned on a daily basis. Overall I would not recommend staying here. I'm usually not picky about hotels but this place is very dirty. It's like the management/staff dont take pride in keeping it clean.

The property is undergoing significant renovation and it was substandard. The check in was through a side door marked in Sharpie, from a temporary desk in a room that also doubled as the breakfast area, and that was hard to find. That initial impression was far from the worst, however. The room was tired, with plumbing and electrical issues. I stayed three nights and never once had the room visited by housekeeping, despite asking them repeatedly and the staff confessing that the room missed being assigned. I would not stay here again, based on this experience, and that is disappointing for a Hyatt brand.

The room was in a great location for me. My only issue was that there was a noxious odor coming from the drains in the bathroom. I thought maybe it would go away after time, but alas, no. I could have asked for another room, but feared the location wouldn't be as good and I was only staying overnight. I did alert the staff in the morning. I would stay here again because the staff was very accommodating and friendly. The odor problem was a maintenance problem.

Close to airport. The area was clean and felt safe arriving late. Staff very friendly and made sure our stay was very pleasant. Room was quiet, beds very comfortable and loved the extra space for couch, desk and coffee station. Will be staying again on next visit.

The staff was super friendly. Breakfast was ready even before 6 AM and we were encouraged to eat prior to leaving for our flight. Options were plentiful. TV choices were minimal. Wi-fi was horrible. Impossible to stream anything or even to use the internet. I ended up using my phone service in order to write a blog. Air conditioner blows right on the person whose side of the bed is right next to it. There is no way to lower the fan or redirect the flow from the unit itself. The balcony is nice, but no way to enjoy it as there are no chairs to sit on.

This hotel is in the Sky Harbor approach flight path. The planes are very loud starting around 6am. Also, the TV reception was terrible. Half of the very limited channels had snowy reception like an 80s antenna feed, and the digital stations kept cutting out. Pretty good coffee and breakfast, was surprised to not see a microwave in the room.

This was a one night stay to attend a show in a venue not far from the hotel. The staff was excellent; so accommodating! Kudos to Graham ( the shuttle driver) who drove us to and from the venue. Although it was only 4-5 blocks away, the venue is in an industrial area and hard to negotiate. He was waiting for us when the show was over. Above and beyond expectations. The room was large and the bed comfortable. Only negatives were the sound of the AC ( very loud) and the functional design of the bathroom. It's very tight and the privacy door goes inward, so using the toilet or entering the shower requires some door maneuvering.

The elevator was very small and looked dented and unclean. Two of the staff member were nice and welcoming. The shuttle driver from the airport - a young man was also very nice and kind. One of the young women working when I had to leave on their shuttle at 5 am was incredibly rude, never smiled, never apologized that the shuttle driver was 15 min late. When I inquired whether I should just take an UBER she responded in a condescending, attacking, rude tone. I actually schooled her on the spot. I said I was merely asking a logistics questions. You could have answered me in a nice and respectful tone. She scoffed and put her head down. Is there any training at this hotel??!! The room was nice and clean but the overall experience felt subpar. I will not return.

The hotel was supposed to pick us up from the airport to the hotel (that is why we chose this place in the first olace, for the free shuttle service!). But nobody was available to pick us up so we got stuck at the airport for hours trying to figure out how to get with our 3-yr-old who didn't have a car seat...). The pillows were ridiculous. The bathroom door hits you on the knees when you're sitting on the toilet... this hotel is not worth it. Pay a few bucks more and go somewhere else!

Well, the property is Hyatt Place Airport Tempe Phoenix. I called at 6:16 pm for a shuttle and the gentleman said he was on his way. At 6:45 I called again after watching the other Hyatt shuttle come and go twice and do 2 pickups and was told he would be leaving in 10 minutes. I said I was told he would be here when I called at 6:16 in just a couple of minutes and she said yes he would but he was leaving in 10 minutes! I said I had already called and had been waiting since I called and she said “Sorry “ however he was leaving in 10 minutes and should be there shortly. He showed up at 6:57pm and then took me to the hotel which was maybe 4 minutes total in the ride from the airport to the hotel if that!!!

The hotel experience was good but I was disappointed because the main reason I chose this hotel was the advertising that they had a shuttle bus. I arrived to learn that shuttle bus services don’t start until 5 am, that’s the time my flight left. I was forced to pay out of pocket for a taxi. For this reason alone I will not be recommending this hotel.

We stuck around for an hour, calling out for employees, checking behind doors in the laundry area, storage areas and called the hotel numerous times. My stay here was absolutely everything I wanted. I had orginallly booked at a hotel that was sketchy and I have to find a last min reservation. I found the Hyatt and they accommodated me immediately. The staff was amazing went above and beyond. The shuttle made it easy to get to my meetings. I rented a car but didn’t need to. I will absolutely be visiting again. I can’t thank the staff enough for helping me feel safe, and treating me like family.

The hotel staff are truly exceptional. They are incredibly kind, courteous, and deserving of all the praise they receive. The staff is very welcoming and accommodating. The breakfasts are delicious and of the highest quality. They even provided airport pickup and drop-off services within a 3-mile radius. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be returning in the future.

We specifically booked this hotel due to proximity to the airport and downtown Phoenix and Tempe. We wanted to explore both areas. I was pleasantly surprised to hear about a shuttle that will travel up to a 3 mile radius. We hadn't used it since we had a rental car (free parking!). I also enjoyed the free breakfast as well. The room was nice. The bed was comfortable and even the sofa bed was comfortable as well. I appreciated the daily housing keeping although it was not always necessary but it was nice to come back after a long day at a competition to a clean room. This is excellent for those traveling alone or couples. It's always from the downtown areas so there is not anything in the immediate area so yes you will have to leave or order food delivery. They do offer 24/7 dining but we did not opt into this since we were out most of the day and slept as soon as we got back. I would book here again. It was quiet for the most part. I only heard planes the 2nd night but as a deep sleeper, it was not as noticeable on other nights.

Look, this hotel is at Rio Salado and Priest. Known for the sewer smell. Other than that, the hotel is nice. Their staff is amazing, notably Kyera and David, not to mention the rest of the fine staff whose names I don't recall. Breakfast is simple but nice. Hotel is clean. They offer a small bar and restaurant which is a welcome change from other hotels of their type. Free shuttle to a lot of local places is a huge plus. I would stay there again.

It was advertised that there was dining available on site and even photos of these wonderful looking meals posted in the elevators. When I went to the front desk to inquire about dinner. They handed me a piece of paper with about 7 items. Basically hamburger, Mac & cheese, quesadilla, etc. I fully expected to sit down and eat a nice meal such as a steak and potatoes with a salad. That's why I chose that hotel. Then they said they didn't even have room service. It was terribly disappointing and I was too exhausted to go out hunting for a restaurant.

Very convenient if you need to go to the airport especially since there is a shuttle. I loved the room-modern and very comfortable-especially the bed! I had a great chicken quesadilla at the restaurant. Nice staff. I recommend this hotel.

Very convenient for the airport! The shuttle was so nice! Good check in. Breakfast ok. Cold eggs...our room was very nice bit there wasn't any body soap in the shower dispenser. The curtains were hanging off the hooks which looked tacky.

We stayed one night before flying out of PHX. The staff was very nice and informative. There is a bar area that you can have drinks and order food, but the menu is pretty limited and basic. It was an easy trip to get to the airport. We would stay again.

Mostly a good experience. The morning breakfast bar was grossly understaffed. Many people waiting for food and utensils. Only one person working and she was running as fast as she could. She did her best but management needs to get more help in busy times.
