TownePlace Suites by Marriott Anaheim Maingate Near Angel Stadium

The staff are courteous. Good breakfast! However, parking lot is lacking of spaces.

Room was clean. However, we booked a 2-bedroom suite for our family and checked in online 24 hours prior. Upon arrival, room was no longer available. We were offered two adjoining rooms instead. After I agreed to the change, I was told they no longer had adjoining rooms either. (This was at 5pm, so not at all late in the day). We were given two separate smaller rooms, so my husband and I had to split up and each take a kid with us. The pool and hot tub were closed due to construction. The hot breakfast advertised was also not available. We were told “come in the morning for a grab and go breakfast, we will have lots of options and you can take as much as you need” but in the morning we were handed a small juice box and a mini box of Frosted Flakes (they did not have milk, coffee, fruit, etc) and told that’s all they had because “the girl in charge of ordering forgot to do it”. While the room was clean and comfortable, we were highly disappointed that none of the amenities we booked this hotel for were provided. It was very unorganized and poorly run. We were not offered any compensation for the lack of room availability or lack of amenities.

Under construction above us, very loud and water was turned off during the day, fan was very loud, room was run down

The bad: Free parking promised in listing and in an email from hotel. They said they don’t honor that and to talk to Hotels.com. The good: great location if going to The Grove or Angels Stadium.

The newly renovated rooms were great. Only downfalls were hot tub and pool were closed and the bbq was dirty enough that i didnt feel comfortable using it. Staff were friendly.

Remodeling with very strong paint smell. Had to come from event to move car for remodeling. A/C did not cool until 2nd night and was very loud

I was unaware of the construction on the inside and outside of the building The contractors did not keep the common areas near the elevators clean and safely protected If I had little children they could have gotten right into the areas of renovation due to the tarped area being wide open every day The floors of the common areas were dirty and gritty the elevators were so slow, since elevators were slow I walked the stairs to the third floor every day and even stairwells were dirty and had debris everywhere making it unsafe in a fire situation There was an old phone sitting on the railing the entire time I was there It turned out that I was suppose to stay three nights instead stayed two and told them I was checking out And noise went from about 7:30 am till about 7:30 pm

Location was wonderful. Pool was icky and needed maintenance.

The elevator is out of order, so we can only use the stairs.

This property is truly nasty! We have stayed at Town Place by Marriott many times, and had great experiences but this one leaves a lot to be desired! The sofa bed mattress was ripped and stained badly and very uncomfortable! The linoleum in the bathroom was very warped and the whole place stunk! This property is run down and dirty! There was someone else’s hair still in the shower! We had reservations through Thursday and only ended up staying until Tuesday because it was so gross! Do better Marriott!! I have photos I wish I could download!

The room was super clean. Check in was fast and easy. Walked in and room was bigger than i thought it would be. Kitchennete wth everything. Tvs in each room and all were internet capable. We lucked out and literally, right outside our door were stairs that led right to the pool and hot tub. Relaxing, comfy night. And free breakfast was good enough for me.

Service was ok and friendly but rooms, furniture, lamps so dirty. Clean beds has chips crumbs under the sheets. Towel has holes, carpet has holes.

Bad smell in room. The toilet seat had pee stain. I called the front desk they apologized but didn’t have any other rooms available. He said he would not charge us for parking and sent housekeeper to clean bathroom. We went to target to buy febreeze spray. We left the window open as well. I was told the smell was chemicals they used to clean the carpet but it smelled like dog pee

The hotel had a renovation project in progress during our stay. The suite we stayed in was not clean. There was coffee in the coffee maker from previous guest. We scheduled our suite to be cleaned on the second day of our stay but that did not happen. It just didn’t feel like a Marriott hotel.

Weird smells everywhere. front desk staff are weirdly young and kinda unprofessional. Breakfast options were limited but existed. Not the cleanest. Outdated rooms and not well cleaned. Let me mention the smells again. My allergies were goint crazy. Will not stay again.

Nice staff service and room cleanliness

The pool was very dirty so we could not get in. That was the main reason why I booked this place. The room had a smell of mildew and the rooms are very outdated. They need some TLC. The beds were very comfy so we just dealt with the smell.

Apparently this hotel is undergoing a remodel, which is needed. The interior of the room was very dated, the couch had multiple stains, and was very old and uncomfortable. The room had an odor. The living room and bedroom A/Cs were both very noisy. The layout of the room was nice, the bed in the bedroom was comfortable, parking was decent, and there were several dining options within 100 yards of the hotel property. Hopefully the remodel is completed quickly, it should have been done several years ago, based on our room experience.

The rooms have been renovated and are beautiful. Make sure to bring USB port plugs or C port plugs as they do not have them in some of the rooms to charge your devices. The only recommendation we would offer is that they need to fix the stationary bike in the gym to allow the seat to be adjusted according to the person using it. We love this place and consider it our home away from home. Conveniently close to the main gate of the Angels Stadium, and the ART bus comes right to the lobby area so that families may get to Disneyland very easily. By far the best hotel in the Anaheim area.

The location was great as well as the staff. Walls were thin so we could hear the people above and next to us, which was annoying to say the least. They have long term/monthly rentals in this building as well.

NO CABLE THE ENTIRE TIME! NO TV AT ALL. Could not watch football or get the news.

Stayed one night to see a hockey game, it worked fine for that, although the bed was worn out and saggy in the middle

Very comfortable stay. In town 1 day for an Angels game and it was a close walk to the stadium. The free breakfast was very good. The entire staff was friendly and welcoming. Quality stay. Would gladly stay again.

Josh the front desk employee was one of the friendliest people I have met in the customer service industry in a long time. It was a pleasure. Perfect location for Angels game and 20 minutes to Disneyland. The hotel itself shows a little wear and tear but should not stop you. Breakfast is included.

Sabrina at the front desk was extremely helpful and courteous. Great location

Check-in was complicated as they initially did not have the accessible room that was reserved. Concierge asked whether we wanted daily housekeeping. We stated we did, but no cleaning was ever done during our three night stay. We even called housekeeping one morning, but they did nothing, not even a towel exchange. Concierge on check out did not even ask about our stay.

When I tried to check in at 4pm, my room was not ready. It was very annoying.

The property is in a great location - close to Anaheim Stadium, Honda Center, The Grove, and lots of dining options. We parked our car and walked everywhere. Kitchen in unit was compact and practical. Bed was comfy - all good. Recommend staying here.

This was a very nice hotel for the price! A nice pool and jacuzzi, a great breakfast, free wif-fi, and free parking! And best of all, within walking distance of Angel Stadium!

For price and location everything worth it we stayed for Disneyland , 4 minute drive and quiet hotel

Short walk to the Honda Center but there is also a shuttle available. Our go to spot for concerts in Anaheim.

The hotel was very convenient to the Angels Stadium which was why I was there.

It was almost excellent stay except breakfast had only one meat option “Pork” without consideration for people not eating pork.

What I liked is that the room were nearly renovated. What I didn't like was the smell of weed at 6:30 in the morning in the hallway and the chocolate milk that we returned due to it being spoiled and then receiving a second batch of spoiled milk after complaining about the first batch it was unacceptable. In the complimentary breakfast was good except the chocolate milk issue they need to fix their refrigerator there. And the fact that there was no manager for me to explain my hardships was a real bummer especially since we paid extra being a holiday weekend.

Great place for a decent price. Loved the breakfast they served.

The staff was very kind and friendly. However, the room was smelly and all the sinks would not drain and back up eith water, adding to the odor. The range was broken, so while they advertise a full kitchen, its not a functioning one. Breakfast was bellow average, never bern to a hotwl that serves toaster waffles.

Bathroom sink had no hot water, but otherwise the room was good. Good breakfast, quick & easy check in. Josh at the front desk was very helpful with getting tickets printed off for me. Easy parking and short walk to the ballpark. Great eating options also.

All the staff was nice the hotel was very quiet and clean. complementary breakfast was great and check out was easy!!! Will definitely stay there again!!!

Excellent stay! Very delicious full breakfast. Free and ample parking. Walkable to stadium and Honda Center. Friendly and helpful staff. We would definitely stay again if in the area!
