There were a lot of people at the Lower Level L1 Water Park area that were not Hotel Guests. Not only were they not wearing bracelets...they were entering through the side entrance where Wolf Lodge wooden sofas are located and bringing their own towels and bags of food. I witnessed this while buying Coffee and Donuts at the Grab N Go store. Later on, I saw those very same people and a multitude of other people at the pool areas not wearing bracelets and using different colored towels compared to the Blue and White or Tan and White we were using the 3 days we were there. It's a great place but this kind of security or lack thereof made our entire family feel like we checked in to an exclusive hotel and yet it was open to the Public. When anyone can just self park and walk into the water park

Something happened to this property in the last year. Garbage and trash in all common areas, the carpet looks absolutely unsanitary. The floor in the pool area looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in months. It took almost 30 minutes to check in. The room and bathroom were clean. I think management needs to do a better job in maintenance and cleaning specifically with the high rates costumers pays to stay there.

We had a pretty good stay. The Family Suite however, should not be called a Family Suite. It is so small! I tried to upgrade, but unfortunately nothing was available. The aracade was not good at all, i think it definitely needa some upgraded games and more choices. Customer service at Front Desk was AMAZING! The lifeguards for outside pool need to be taught some lessons with manners, they were very rude to many people. Definitely a need for more ventilation in the inside waterpark! It is so muggy and soooo strong of a smell of chlorine! Other than that, everything was great.

The rooms were great. Spacious and clean and delivered that lodge theme experience. The area around the pool area however was very dirty and mainly because people just walk there with their slippers that they probably walk in the streets as well. I think it would be great if they enforce to allow water shoes, beach shoes only. The matts around the pool area had deep dirt to it. I expected a supper clean area since kids are the primary users. Also they need better venting system as the smell ( pool water, chlorine+ urine :) ) was very strong. I took my niece there and she had a great time, but I think we will just stick to outdoor beach.

The water park reason for us to visit, was super nasty, very dirty water. Staff remained unhelpful to help. We paid $35 for parking but the code we received never worked and we had to call support to exit and collect ticket to enter even though we had paid. Young contact the parking rep, he refused to help also and said there is nothing he can do and we don’t know how to use it. The bed had ripped sheet on it. Housekeeping started knocking the door at 9:30 in the morning and came opened the door from outside while I was busy taking care of my baby. They never released the deposit and took additional $169 which we don’t know the reason why. I called to verify but there phone lines were closed. Very bad. Very bad service and staff and quality of the hotel including the water park. Never going back.

The water park was great for the kids! The slides were super fast and they really enjoyed having so much to do! The nickel and diming throughout every corner you turn is crazy! Especially being a guest of the hotel. You have to pay to park your car, even Vegas usually validates when you are a guest. On top of that, the bowling and the golf costs extra as well. Don't forget to wait in line for 20 minutes when you are finished with your towels, because if ya don't that's $15! And what kind of buffet doesnt include drinks? $100 for 4 people for breakfast that was just ok. We would go back for the water park but will stay elsewhere

The place was great with so much potential. It did seem a little run down. There were a number of things that didn't work and places that weren't open due to a staff shortage (that's what we were told). The slides that did work were great. The staff was friendly too.

Last year parking was 20 and now it’s 36.50 And it’s really inconvenient scan process which had the exit parking backed up almost to the 2 nd floor people having trouble scanning out extremely inconvenient to exit

This is our first time at a Wolf Lodge.. we checked in late but still had time to explore and play. Everything was great until it was time for bed. My son was looking for an outlet in the bunk area and found an old brownie and crumbs under the table. After looking around we found another candy under the other bedside table. Hair in the fridge as well. It’s been 30 minutes since my first call for someone to come clean and still no one is here. It’s just after 10 pm and I’d like to sleep but this room is nasty

The room was nice but the carpet is getting old and is very dirty. Then when we pulled the drapes back there something on them, and we didn’t want to know what it was! The pool area was clean, and well supervised. You just have to remember where you are when using the restrooms in the pool area. The lobby was very nice and well kept. Overall it was a nice stay a little pricy. One thing to be aware of if you’re on the 8th or 9th floors the elevators are very slow getting there in the morning.

Came into the room and there was a horrible smell. Vomit stain on the floor. That’s what it was. Pullout couch was pulled out halfway with some used sheets stuck behind the couch. Instantly, I called for a new room: none available. Asked for a refund and they said they can only give me 30%. Only a supervisor was there and they said they can’t make any decisions. I asked for a manager. There were none. I left and asked for a manager to contact me. Still waiting for a contact… it’s been 3 days.

We went on the long weekend, it was super packed, the check-in got delayed. The room is dated. One of my friends got bed bite and the 7 years old kid got severe rash after spending time at the water. The water wasn't super clean, the lazy river was very dirty. I am not sure if I would go during the holiday again.

We always enjoy Great Wolf Lodge, and this trip was no exception when it came to family fun. The water park was a hit with the kids, and we still made great memories together. That being said, compared to several other Great Wolf locations we have visited, this Garden Grove location was a bit disappointing. The rooms and facilities are showing their age with worn furniture, dated décor, and overall in need of some upgrades. Communication from staff was inconsistent, and at times we were given unclear or incorrect directions which caused unnecessary frustration. Another downside was the dining situation. Since we were not there on the weekend, only one restaurant was available for dinner instead of two, and unfortunately, the food at that restaurant was disappointing. One of the biggest letdowns was the lack of a luggage storage option. At other Great Wolf Lodges we have been able to store our bags and enjoy the water park before check in. Here, when our room was not ready at 4 PM, we had no option but to wait, missing out on valuable water park time. Overall, we had a fantastic time as a family, but this location could greatly benefit from upgrades, improved staff communication, more consistent dining options, and offering luggage storage like other properties. With some improvements, this could easily match the magic we have experienced at other Great Wolf

During our short stay, we had to move rooms not once, but twice — staying in three different rooms total due to ongoing issues with the air conditioning. This was incredibly inconvenient and stressful, especially while traveling with a child who has autism and thrives on routine and stability. Despite seeing a technician and trying to resolve the problem, we were left uncomfortable and frustrated for the majority of our stay with the rooms getting up to 80° and the AC units blowing hot air. We booked through a third party, so we were not offered any form of compensation, other than free breakfast, which we feel is unacceptable given the circumstances. Jose A and Stephanie at the front desk seemed to be the only ones to be compassionate; one manager (on the night of the 9th) said “I see you live in Escondido” and suggested maybe we just go home, at 10pm with 2 children one with special needs, If that’s what we needed to do, after saying she wasn’t sure what the correct solution was. Unfortunately we will not be back and cannot recommend to anyone to go to this location.

Absolutely loved every aspect of the water park although it was super crowded! The rooms are older and have some things that need fixed and the pullout bed is HORRIBLE! The communication amongst the staff needs work as well.

The rooms are outdated. The pullout bed badly tilted at the head of the bed. The bunkbeds had blankets that were very small. We found waffle (maybe?) under the pull out bed. Could not control the temperature in the room- we were either freezing or too hot! We went to get the wolf ears for the kids and the lady at the store acted liked it was an inconvenience to do the “wolf howl” when they asked my 7 year old if he wanted it and he said yes. In the water park, they measured my son before trying any slides and he was a little over 48 in. We went to get on a slide, waited over 30 minutes. Got to the top, and they refused allowing him to get on the slide because they measured differently and said he was a 1/4in too small! Overall, disappointing.

I tried to self-check in for our stay and avoid the long line but the system didn’t find my phone number. I had to get in line and they could not find my reservation, after almost an hour they said their system had a glitch when I reserved but they were able to give me the room paid for. Staff was very nice and helpful

Very fun activities and water park for kids. Very clean which I greatly appreciate. I hated their parking services and the app did not work and it caused a ton of issues getting out of parking. They also double charged for my room and I had to resolve it but they did give a refund. So double charging and parking is not ideal, especially having to pay a separate service then the hotel for parking.

Beware of unauthorized fees! They charged me for towels even after I return them. I was on hold for almost 2 hours trying to resolve the issue and I still haven’t seen the credit. It’s ridiculous! The rook itself was great. No complaints about that whatsoever, just the unauthorized fees that they snuck in ain’t cool at all!

Great kids hotel. Water is temperate set so its not cold. We came in Nov and the temperate inside water area was warm i thought we were still in summer. Was decorated beautifully of Christmas and santa had visiting hours. But I could of sworn i booked the room with the bunkbeds but was giving a different room with just 2 queen beds. The facility is clean, spacious and options to eat either inside hotel or out. We stayed 2 nights. To the left of great woolf is a super narket with mexican food and across the street you have mcdonalds and other fast are a 5min-10 min walking distance in car 4 min. There is no need to leave the hotel but target is a mile a away or shopping mall ass well to the right 4 min away in car and 15 min walking. Parking is paid seperate..thats the only thing i dont like hotels charging parking even though we are staying there..i get it for those just looking for a parking spot but for guests it should be free. Plus they dont give you some sort of in out pass. I guess thats why you have options inside so you dont have to leave..Anywho kids had fun and be ready to break your wallet 😆

We’ve never had a bad stay at GWL, love the all-inclusive resort feel and reliability of clean, safe rooms. Paying $30 for parking each night as a resort guest isn’t ideal, we’ve never had to do this at other GWL resorts, but it’s the unfortunate norm for the Disneyland area. Really close to the DL resort (5-min drive to Toy Story parking lot) and close to lots of food options.

This was our first visit, and it was amazing! We missed the dance party, unfortunately, but breakfast more than made up for it. We’re vegan, and there was plenty for us to eat. The chef even made us Just Egg patties with sautéed mushrooms, onions, and bell peppers—delicious! The water park was a total blast with something for everyone. We have three kids (13, 8, and 5), and they all had a great time. If you’re on the fence about whether it’s worth the money—do it. It absolutely is. We’ll definitely be back!

The water park was nice for the stay with our kids, the wood fire grill is ok, maybe a few more item options, the food was mediocre, the steak I ordered was decent and pizza place has good pizza, it’s all real expensive, we ended up doing Uber eats and ate at venues during the day. All in all it is just a big hotel, the room pictures make it look real nice and outdoorsy, they aren’t really, standard hotel room, which I’m fine with

Amazing place to go with your little ones. Vegas for kids safe and friendly. I would suggest eating out or getting take out. Food is not the best in the hotel, but the staff are so friendly. Definitely going back thanks great wolf we had a great time. Highly recommend the magic quest

Kids had fun, park was good could have been cleaner. The food is overpriced and horrible specially at the restaurant ( not the buffet) My husband paid almost 50 dollar for stake and mashed potatoes asking medium well. They brought the stake almost burned and dry. I wish they could upgrade their menu and add more healthy choices and paid close attention to how they serve the food. Staff are very friendly, caring and hard working l.

Room was not handicap friendly .. The blankets were thin .. Gift shops and water park and game zone and pizza and ice cream was great .. Loose Moose buffet was not worth the price .. Overnight parking waa a bit expensive

They should do something about there restaurants! The food is not good for the cost! We didn’t want to $60 for breakfast! Thank goodness McDonalds was just across the street! We had a nice stay but it’s to sad that food is costly and not that good!

Water park was awesome but get there first thing. Breakfast expensive at $25 each but was great. Rooms old and dated, terrible view, poor lighting - fine just to sleep but don’t plan to stay in your room. Kids loved it and not far from Disneyland
