Travelodge by Wyndham Costa Mesa Newport Beach Hacienda

Check-in was easy, w/ the online system. The front desk clerk was great! The pool & Jacuzzi were locked. No mention of that. A man in the next rm woke my husband up ranting in the middle of the night, shouting derogatory nonsense. I woke up at 7:30AM it was quiet until he started up again. we could clearly hear him state his full name. Complaining about white supremacy, racism, drug use, sexual Scenarios, sexist racial slurs. He talked about the gov putting a computer chip in his nose. Exclaiming profanity. He spoke about incredibly inappropriate acts of violence and sexual assault, religion and even sexual child. My husband and I both called the front desk numerous times my husband went to the front desk three times and finally the fourth was able to speak to the front desk clerk. She said that we needed to call the cops. My mother was staying in a room near, called as well and the front desk clerk told her similar. While I was in the room, I heard the woman from the front desk go to the man next-door’s room since his door was open. She asked if she could shut it almost all the way, and was telling him the neighbors next door complained. She did give us our money back. But we felt no compensation was really adequate. My husband lost valuable sleep. My anxiety level was high. And our morning was ruined to spend time w family we missed out on.

Excellent pool and swimming. People friendly

Mattress is extremely comfortable, heater is super quiet. Parking is plenty and so proximal to room. I suggest putting iron and board in room.

The property was okay. Good value. Ice machine was broken.

Check in was easy, the front desk guywas pleasant and met my request with a bottom floor! The bed was comfortable! They only had 3 pillows on a king size bed but they gave us extra pillows when we requested them. The hot tub was really nice! The only downside is the people that live there. So trashy and kinda scary but i felt safe enough inside the room.

nice spacious rooms, very competitive price, I liked the pool and jacuzzi, and not far from the beach. I did not have to fly to Cabo San Lucas in Mexico, I enjoyed the location close to home. I'll stay there again in the summer

The room smelled like smoke and very stuffy. This was suppose to be a nonsmoking room. We had to keep the door open the first half hour there to freshen it up. I sprayed half my bottle of body spray to make it smell decent. The couch in the room was old and had so many stains. The feel of the room was not comfy at all. The floors were so dirty. Would not stay there again.

This place is supposed to be pretty decent. Last time I stayed there was in 2013. They had a cute breakfast bar and it seemed pretty clean. This time it was completely disgusting. The place is falling apart entirely. For some reason they take away the breakfast bar. If you're super desperate and need somewhere to stay, I guess this would work but it's so disgusting. Like bodily fluid and hair disgusting. I feel like whoever is managing this property shouldn't be doing it. I asked them to please clean our room one of the days and when we got back about 12 hours later the room still wasn't clean. I went down to the front office and they said everyone had gone home. She gave me some towels and a garbage bag because I told her our garbage is overflowing. I had to do that myself. The staff was really nice though. I just don't recommend staying here. It's a bummer because truly it used to be a pretty decent place.

The room itself wasn’t very clean at all, the ground was super dirty, and one of the tables was sticky. There were constantly people outside our door talking and smoking and the doors are really thin. The employees at the desk were very helpful and kind to us, although our room keys stopped working halfway through our stay, and when we asked for a new one, they gave it to us and only asked for our room number. The beds were comfy and the air conditioning was nice, and the fridge and microwave worked perfectly.

Way too much hair on the bathroom floor. They assured me they would clean it after the first day and they didn’t. I ended up cleaning it myself.

Don't be fooled! This property is in Costa Mesa; it is no where near Newport Beach, so stop it! Also, what decent hotel DOES NOT have cable/satellite TV channels!? No ESPN, no TNT, no CNN --- nothing! That is a travesty! Then get a listen/look at this! Here in the past year or two, some hotels have gone the rug-less route; and that is fine, just as long as they mop the floors that proliferate the entire room after every reservation! I have included a photo of my foot after only walking in my room for 15 minutes --- yup, 15 minutes! It was disgusting --- we are never coming back. And we paid, $115 a night! In a word . . . TERRIBLE!!!

We needed a last minute place to stay after delayed flights and I'm so glad we chose to stay. You could smell the cleanliness as soon as you stepped in the room. Will definitely consider staying here again.

Pretty clean overall but you can tell it’s time for a renovation, rusty door hinges in the bathroom, pealing drywall on the corners, bathroom vent barely worked.. when it worked. Gaps in the front door and spiders in every corner on the outside. Shared door to the room next door in which you can hear your neighbors talk pretty clearly and the neighbors I had would be up all night until early morning talking and yelling. Most likely they were on something.

The room is nice. Has a refrigerator and microwave. Couch in the single king bed. Location is close to the main road, so getting in and out is easy, but the area isnt great. It however is safe.

Located opposite the end of a highway, with a traffic light a short distance away. Bedroom door which is not airtight, thus increasing car noise. Mattress due to be changed. Poor WiFi and television. Several restaurants nearby.

No hot water at all showered with cold water. Told the front desk. All they said the water heater was out. And that things happened. Not even apologized or nothing

The room was clean and comfortable, but the bathroom shower and tub was in need of repair. The tiles appeared loose and the grout was missing in several spots. There were spots in the bathroom wall that had been spackled but not repainted.

Surprised to have a microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, and couch in a discount hotel. Had a very pleasant stay!

The telephone was a fossil most likely from the 70's with no numbers on the phone buttons at all. The WIFI was basically non existent. We felt the room and was included needs a huge upgrade. Even the coffee machine was the basic of most basics there is. Front desk gal was super nice.

Dated building. Room was small, didn't have a closet, no safe box. Refrigerator wasn't working at all, a small microwave was put on top of the refrigerator, slid freely. Bad experience

The room was old. However, it was adequate, and we got what we paid for. Also, it was great to have a fridge, a coffeemaker, and a microwave in the room for the price.

First and foremost, the room I reserved was a King Suite, but upon arrival, I was placed in a standard King room without explanation. This was already a disappointing start to my stay. Additionally, the cleanliness of the room was unacceptable. It appeared renovations had been done recently, as construction dust covered the baseboards and floors. This lack of attention to detail was concerning and gave the impression the room had not been properly cleaned or prepared for guests. Compounding this, the sink leaked water whenever it was turned on, further diminishing the quality of my experience. Lastly, I selected and paid for a late checkout option via your website, as I had arrived late (2:00 AM). However, at 11:00 AM, housekeeping came to my door, and despite informing them of my late checkout, they left only to have the manager come by at 12:00 PM. The manager’s behavior was rude, condescending, and unprofessional, dismissing my explanation about the late checkout. This interaction left me feeling frustrated and disrespected as a guest.

Check out was bad. I was at the office at 7:30 am and the sign said out to help a customer. Back shortly. Another lady was there to check in and both of us waited untill 8:12 am for a girl to open the door and tell me to "just throw it on the desk! While I was waiting, I went back to my room and dialed the front desk - it rang 20 times without an answer. I also called the telephone number and got a busy signal. This is unsafe for all the customers who stay here. My stay was a five star up until today for check out!

Debra and the staff there work hard . From the rooms to the front office it always smells and looks clean! Beds are comfy as well. Affordable and convenient to some shopping.

Staff were accommodating when we asked to switch rooms because of noise. They also allowed us a late check out due to our flight being delayed and having no where to go

Staff was very friendly. The rooms were very clean. The service of the staff was very good.

This is a well run, well managed hotel with no surprises. I enjoyed a comfortable 3 week stay in a large room with a decent size fridge and a full size microwave. The room in the back was quiet. The staff, especially John, made me feel right at home.

The staff here is amazing. They are always available and are willing to do anything to make sure the guest is comfortable. Beds are great and tv is huge. Very good cleaning staff also. I will stay here on my next trip down

This Travelodge location in particular is my home away from home when being away was necessary. Each and every one of the staff is eager to serve whenever they are called up on. You can tell how committed to excellence they are by the condition of the grounds, by how well the rooms are kept clean, yet they allow for privacy when required. They are unfailingly kind and accommodating of special requests when possible. I give them my highest recommendation and I look forward to next time, whenever that might be.

We liked the close proximity to restaurants and shopping but there was a great deal of traffic noise all day and night. The motel is very old and falling apart. We saw several "tenants" who looked homeless, so if you stay there with children, keep them safe. Staff was very friendly and helpful and the price was good, but I wouldn't stay there again.

This property was absolutely horrendous. I killed 3 spiders, we had ants all over the wall and the noise from the road was so loud. Not to mention the smell. It reeked of bleach and barf. There were smashed bugs on the ceiling of the bathroom. I was scared to get ice on my own without my husband. Absolutely terrifying area. Homeless people everywhere. The only good part was the girl who checked us in. She was kind and very accommodating.

Location is good to OC Fairgrounds. A lot of disturbances at night.

Love staying here when I visit Time nightclub. Easy convenient to restaurants and bars.

Too close to road

Very rough crowd. Homeless staying the night, someone drunk pounding on the door at 2am and at 4am a woman in the parking lot screaming help me, help me, please...

Child size toilet, doors were sticky to the touch with no seal on entry door. Dim lighting, no elevator. Mis-matched door hardware with rusty hinges. Bathtub/shower with partially broken old crud covered hardware. Window and entry doors face exterior corridor/balcony with no privacy except drapes. Dangerous looking characters walking by. Maintenance man blew snot out of one nostril while walking by. No coffee in lobby

Close to airport. Breakfast was nothing. Green bananas, smallest oranges ever, prepackaged individually wrapped tiny cookies, and gas station coffee. I would rather pay a little bit more and get a better breakfast or I would suggest this hotel skips the breakfast and that way it’s not included when I filter my results.

Checking in was standard, unfortunately no breakfast was served even though it was advertised. When I got to the room it was horrible. Really out of date and the tile in the shower was falling off exposing a whole in the shower. Worst part was the sheets were not clean or washed. I was with my toddler and it was pretty late at night and due to the sheets I had to completely pack up all my belongings after just unpacking and switch rooms. The next room I went to was a little nicer but had a fridge that didn’t work and bugs crawling in the coffee machine. Lastly you could hear the neighbors yelling and smoking right outside your room throughout the whole night. Never staying again.
