The hotel is in need of updating. The room was clean enough, but had things like peeling wallpaper and broken cabinet hinges. The main issue is parking. The hotel rents out parking spaces for events and airport parking. Our first night there, we arrived back to the hotel after a night out, around 1am. There was zero parking available. When we went to the front desk, we had to pay for VIP/valet parking even though there was zero regular spaces available! The desk clerk told us we had to move the cones blocking the valet parking area since there was no valet attendant on at 1am. The following morning, the parking supervisor ARGUED with us that there "was 100 parking spaces available" on the lower level garage. We tried to explain we were not talking about currently, but the night before, and he still argued. Also, of note, we were in a large 2500 truck and per the signs, would not fit in the "lower level" garage. To no avail, he still argued and was extremely dismissive. Overall, bad stay. Tried to call the front desk at 10pm because the toulet was backing up and no one answered. Had to wait til the following morning. Just an outdated hotel that needs help. Would not recommend staying.

Hilton Orange County/Costa Mesa is a very nice hotel. The room is elegant compared to most other hotel rooms I’ve stayed in lately, especially for the price. Starbucks inside the lobby is a big plus! The gym is clean and the parking is very convenient.

Very clean and well maintained property. Staff were constantly cleaning the property and taking great care of the hotel. Pool and jacuzzi were super nice and clean as well. Restaurant has amazing brick oven pizzas, so good and decently priced. I only wish they offered a continental breakfast as well with the stay as we were there 5 nights. $45 a day for parking was not great either. Zero complaints about the hotel and staff.

The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. My kids made a fort with blankets and the cleaning staff left that standing and made our beds with new bedding. It was great. Rico was very kind, always with a joke or a trick when we had breakfast. Breakfast was great! Only small critique is the main big pool felt like a hot tub. Otherwise, would recommend!

Stay was great! Only thing is parking is horrible. You pay $45 a night and the parking garage is small. I think if you stay more than 1 night it should be free. The cost of what we paid I have paid less for valet parking.

Convenient location near the airport. Has a very nice heated pool and jacuzzi. Staff are friendly and helpful. Good place for wedding and convention. Lots of restaurants near the hotel. Shuttle to airport is on time and fast. Rooms feel old and outdated, somewhat smelly, but otherwise everything is functional. Elevators are a bit slow and confusing.

Property is good. Unfortunately my room seemed infested with bed bugs that the managers here seemed to either not care about or not believe me. I didn’t realize the bites until that night when I really looked down at my ankles and legs which is where most of the bites were. I looked like I was attached by mosquitos for the next week. I called and told them. They questioned me like I was crazy. I don’t know if they ever checked it out. They said they would and then be in contact but no one ever called me back. Not sure if they did but certainly hope they checked this out. Hoping no one else stayed in that room after me.

the trash bin in the room wasn't emptied from the guest before me. the bathtub has hair in it. the bed is comfortable. the air conditioning works well. the double queen room is very spacious. not worth the price I had to pay. the rate dropped by $100 if I had waited to book the same day.

Unfortunately, we did not have a great experience at this hotel due to the condition of the room. After we left, we noticed bed bug bites on both my husband and son who shared a bed. We've never encountered these bites before so we weren't sure what they were until doing more research. We didn't see any bugs in the room, but they must have only been in the one bed since my daughter and I shared the other bed and didn't have any bites. Another issue with the room was the handle on the toilet wasn't functioning properly as it needed to be raised after flushing. Not a huge inconvenience, but something we noticed. Also, I do have to point out the issue with parking - they have a great self-parking structure, but during our stay it was extremely difficult to find an open space. We had to drive around the lot for about 15 mins each night to find a place to park. Not sure if this is normal as it was a holiday weekend so they were probably a bit busier than usual. Although the hotel is a bit outdated, it is nice and the front desk service was lovely. I wish I would have raised these concerns while staying there, but the toilet handle and parking were minor inconveniences. I would have brought up the bed bugs to management had we known. We stay in Costa Mesa often but this was our first experience at this property. For the reasons above, I will not book this hotel in the future, but hopefully management will look into and resolve the bed bug issue.

The room was filthy. The floor had burn marks all over the carpet, black mold in the bathroom, the base of the wall and floor were coming apart, and a dirty syringe was left behind in the bathroom! The cleaning lady walked into our occupied room unannounced, and last,but not least, had to notify the front desk of another out of control guest who made sexually explicit statements and verbally harrassed my friend inches from his face.

The property is nice and clean and have many dining options that is very close by either by driving or walking. The staff are very friendly and approachable. My only comment is that there is this smell when you get off the elevator. The room is nice but the carpet is not that clean, there's some areas that has crumbs that probably was missed when vacuuming. Not enough lighting in the bathroom, the tub has a big stain and the shower knob is hard to turn that looks like its going to break if you push it out hard.

We had stayed in this property many years ago. We decided that my wife and my son would stay here for a couple of nights before joining us on a college campus visit. when they arrived, they were given a room that was near swimming pool generators/water treatment/etc. and room was extremely noisy. My wife called reception and asked to get a different room, the lady said no way. My wife went downstairs again and there was some other gentleman at the desk, my wife asked for a different room and the gentleman gladly obliged and gave her a different room. She was happy with the new room. Later she told me that the hotel has run down a lot since we stayed there last time (years ago), that there have been no updates to things there, and hotel looks outdated and old everywhere. I don't think we will stay in this hotel again (which sucks because this is my favorite location, near everything for us.)

This looks like the type of hotel that was considered luxurious in its heyday but has since become decrepit. The HVAC and plumbing are a disaster. You can’t control the temperature in your room. For me it was either air conditioning on or off. I overheard several other guests complain to the front desk during my stay that they had temperature issues too and the staff would always say “we’ll send an engineer to look at it.” Also, both nights of my trip the bathroom sink backed up and left behind a bunch of disgusting gunk from the pipes. This was not caused by anything I did. I returned to my room each evening after spending the day away and found gunk in bathroom sink. The first night an engineer came and poured some drain-o to fix it. But it came back the following night. Also the bathtub didn’t drain well. This building needs a major renovation.

I stayed here for a night given that I would be attending a conference held at this same hotel. At check-in staff were friendly and courteous. Shortly after I received welcoming texts that asked about my stay. I informed them via text the A/c could not be adjusted. They replied someone would come to assist even while I was out, but no one came. Noone f/u. My room was freezing. I had to call for blankets which came only after I called twice. Everything else was pretty basic, just wish the bathroom had a small kit of toiletries like a shower cap.

The personnel were not well-trained. I interacted with three different employees, and instead of seeking solutions to potential cancellation issues, they appeared eager to cancel my reservation due to a late check-in. Front desk staff was unresponsive to request for extra towel from housekeeping on first request. Had to return to front desk and request a second time. There was no housekeeping room make up service on Saturday Feb.15. When questioned as to why, the front desk claimed that the hotel was very busy and noted that we had booked through a third party service (Expedia). Eventually at 10:00 pm housekeeping came to the room for ten minutes. The same thing happened again on Sunday Feb.16. We were gone from 10:00 am till 9:00 pm. Upon return to an un made room we went to the front desk,explained the situation and were given clean towels and two vouchers for coffee. No housekeeping service. On Monday the 17th housekeeping resumed, however on Tuesday the 19th, at 1:30 pm we placed a call to housekeeping to make certain that they were coming to the room. They did come about 1:45pm. We checked out on Wednesday the 19th. We will not stay at that hotel again as we were very dissatisfied with housekeeping service. Does Expedia have a contractual agreement with Hilton that housekeeping will only be performed on certain days of an a Eight night stay???

Not sure if they are understaffed but we had several issues when it can to service. One being we had four people checked in and only three bath towels. When we called to have extra towels we were told okay. After several minutes of waiting to take a shower we called again and we were asked to come to the front desk if we wanted a towel. Also ice was another issue if we wanted ice we were asked to come to the front desk. So basically if you needed something expect to get it your self.

Honestly the worst experience I have ever had! I already booked and paid for this trip I’m advance with Expedia. When I checked in at the hotel I was charged $1,083 because they didn’t pay attention that I already had the booking with Expedia, they weren’t able to refund my money so now I have to wait 10 business days for my bank to dispute the charge. 4 days later we are checking out and the hotel charges me another $761 on top of the $1083 they already “accidentally” charged me! So all together this hotel mistakenly charged me $1,844!!! That is absolutely insane! The hotel said they were unable to stop the charges and I just had to call my bank, so now I have to wait 10 business days to get my money back. I’m just so blown away how I accidentally get charged all this money. It has been the worst experience ever! We came out to celebrate my daughter’s birthday and to be charged all this money “accidentally” it’s just insane! I wouldn’t recommend staying at this hotel to anyone

Our receptionist was very dry and unwelcoming, not friendly at all. Did not smile once. We waiting in line to check in for about 8 minutes as there was only one clerk. A 2nd line started forming as it was confusing to see where the line started.Then a 2nd clerk came in (the one I am referring to). She didn’t ask who was next and just took the other guest even though we were already waiting. It was fine it happens, but again, when she finally helped us she was very dry, not mean or rude, just not welcoming. My son even tried to break the ice because he asked if the decorations on the wall were lilies and she turned around and said “um, yeah”. No friendly conversation, no smile, just very dry. Maybe she was having a bad day, we all do. But it left a negative taste in our mouth. Luckily our stay was overall positive and fun. Pool was great.

This is our second year in a row staying at this hotel. We always stay here the night before we fly out to Cabo from John Wayne. We also leave our car in your parking lot and pay for the parking which is very convenient.

We had an event to go to in Long Beach, and I was more familiar with this area so I booked this Hilton. They have a nice bar, underground parking and room was nice and comfortable. It is close to South Coast Plaza if you want to do some shopping, and there are some great restaurants in the area. Would stay again.

We got in from out of town after three flight delays, didn't get a chance to eat, no problem, room service...but, there was a problem, they had only pizza on the menu, something to do with the kitchen had flooded. Anyway, was finally able to get a meatball sandwich (I guess the pizza oven was OK) the next day we were wanting breakfast and they told us ' No problem, we'll just use the other kitchen' UM, other kitchen, what about last night? For this caliber of a hotel, they should have been WAY better than this.

We enjoy staying at this Hilton. Rooms are comfortable. Dining options are great. This property has a pizza oven and has a variety of food options. Food is good. The bar and dining area is very nice. Good service. We stay here as often as possible when in the area.

I was extremely disappointed with my stay at this Hilton Garden Inn. The customer service was well below standard. Our room was not cleaned at all during our stay—no fresh towels, linens, toilet paper, or even trash removal. Despite being on the property the entire time, no one ever came by to provide basic housekeeping. We were charged $45 per day for parking, yet both nights the parking garage was full, and we were unable to park. The hotel refused to issue a refund for this, which was incredibly frustrating. The front desk staff were rude and unaccommodating. When I requested two room keys, they told me they “didn’t have enough keys” to give out. This is unacceptable for a hotel of this caliber. Breakfast was also outrageously overpriced—$80 for two people—and it was a very basic meal that didn’t justify the cost. Most concerning of all, there were ICE agents present on the property, which created a very unsafe and unsettling environment for me and my family. We did not feel comfortable or welcomed at this hotel, and I would strongly advise others to look elsewhere. This experience was far from the Hilton standard I expected.
