I contacted the front desk on 3 occasions prior to & after check-in, all were very positive experiences delivered by staff who were professional, friendly & eager to help. This is my second time staying at this property, & chose this inn based on my experience exactly 3 years ago. In addition to beind directly across the street from the beach, they offer a dedicated, well-kept grassy area for pets, comfy bedding & towels (not worn, thin or scratchy) & quality TP! No one-ply here!! Sounds funny, but you know you appreciate it, too! I'll definitely return. Thanks for making my little deaf pup's birtgday trip a success :)

View was better than expected with two bay windows. I felt really awkward checking in on a virtual machine when there was a person sitting right next to it. Grab and go breakfast wasn’t great and I wish it had said there was a charge for the EV charging, I would have preferred a super charger at 25 min. This took all night to charge.

Nice large room. Decent bed. Good value. Weird checking in with a virtual agent. There are Tesla destination chargers on site. No mention in the promo on Expedia. The virtual agent upon hearing that we drove a Tesla made no mention of them. Pretty dumb. We had just charged up at a Tesla supercharger Expedia needs to do a better job of highlighting ev charging at the lodgings that have it available. It's super important for anyone on an EV road trip.

The room was spacious and in great condition. However, we found that the hotel has no elevator and no luggage cart to carry stuff. Breakfast was takeaway and average. We were checked in by some remote employee.

The property and room was exceptionally clean! This was my first time using a live person kiosk front desk, and was pleasantly surprised at how easy she made it. Although comfortable, the bed was too firm for my liking. We had a fire alarm go off our last night, which i felt could have been handled a little better, as far as communication with customers. Overall, it was a nice place.

Overall its ok..buggest complaint is no elevators... overall clean, if you can get a good deal, its worth it... no live customer service, all done through a kiosk.. grab n go breakfast as expected, nothing special but perfect if traveling through ans need a decent nights sleep...

We stayed here as there were no other options for the night. There was a virtual check-in kiosk in the lobby and no real person behind the desk. The gentleman virtually helping me was kind, but it felt extremely impersonal and not a great first impression. Our room had dirt/dirty stains on the white bedspreads and a very overpowering cleaning smell that gave one of my children a headache. The white ‘leather’ chair also had stains. Besides that, it did appear that the room had been updated and was more modern with flooring and decorations. The beds were some of the more comfortable beds that we stayed in on our trip to the Redwoods and the hotel is right next to the beach in Crescent City. Breakfast in the morning consisted of grab and go items-a mini muffin and granola bar-not worth it. Overall, we left the next day to spend our next 3 nights in the city someplace else for less money and would not return here. It worked for the 1 night and I felt safe as a woman traveling alone with children, but it could definitely use a few cleaning/odor improvements.

My main complaint is the extremely dirty floors in the room. The moment we walked in the kids kicked off the shoes and writhing minutes the socks were dirty. We contacted the front desk and nothing changed the next day.

Everything was great for the value. The only issue I noticed was when people are showering in other rooms close by, there is a loud noise in the pipes that sounds like drilling, which is disruptive when people shower early in the morning. Not sure if that happens in every room or if it was just in my room that I could hear that noise.

Views of the ocean were beautiful. Sat at the little table in the room to enjoy the view. Bed was comfortable, pillows could have been more fluffy and had to get breakfast food for the room because not much for breakfast options at the inn. Room having fridge and microwave was convenient though! Kiosk with inn staff on video, no one was working at the front desk.

The room was very clean and looked like it had just been updated. We were right on the ocean with a great view. There is a restaurant with great food right in the parking lot. Check in was.. different. You talk to someone on a tv screen and it's a little difficult to hear what they're saying. We had another person checking in behind us and that made it almost impossible to hear anything. All the bars and restaurants shut down at 9pm, that was a little disappointing. For the price, view, and cleanliness, it's 100% worth the stay!

This in my book does not constitute a breakfast of any sort. It would have been more honest to say no breakfast was offered. Under amenities listed was a hot tub, no such service was available. This was a plain case of a bait and switch advertisement. I will never return to this hotel.

I arrived late after a very long drive from your woods was just happy to find a hotel cause I didn’t have cell service on the way up part of the way. This was a nice little hotel except my room was right next to the road and I heard the road noise

Having a virtual clerk for check-in is obnoxious. While the person herself was pleasant, you're taking away the personal experience of talking to a real person. You're taking away jobs in this local community which is smaller. It inhibits being able to discuss the local area with a clerk such as recommendations for a nice breakfast spot or other activities personal to the area. I would not recommend staying here due to the virtual aspect of checking in. We will not be back. While the facility and room was very clean it took away the personal aspect of talking to someone about the local community. This hotel does not support local jobs.

The hotel adopted a remote check in just 3 months ago. It was hard to understand the speaker during the check in. Helper was in New Jersey and had never seen the place. Lots of things so sign. Wasn’t given wi-fi password. In general, there was no one around to help with anything! We used to like this place but won’t return.

This hotel has a remote checking process where you are required to speak to live person via video on a machine that where you are asked personal info questions and required to scan in ID's and credit cards before receiving an electronic key. The process is loud and confusing in a noisy public room where there is no privacy. The machine does not work easily and the remote clerk was difficult to understand. I would never willingly submit to this process again.

My beach view was OK, but not what I expected but based on some of the other rooms, it’s probably better than others. When we got there. There was someone sitting at the desk, but they referred me to a kiosk where I had to speak with somebody virtually to check in and out, which was rather odd. When I go to a hotel, I’m staying somewhere. I want to be welcomed to buy somebody not somebody on a machine at their house who knows where it wasn’t very welcoming and they really need to discontinue that process. In my opinion. I would understand using something like this after hours, but not during the middle of the day.

There were only two things that bother me. They said breakfast was included, but really all we got was muffins, granola bars, and apples. I would’ve probably opted for cheaper hotel in exchange for proper breakfast. also, when we first checked in, it was done via a virtual rep. Which felt a bit weird. I was happy to see you later that they were actual people on staff. Or at all the place was very clean, and quiet, even though we were right by the street.

Non smoking, which is great for my adthma. However, one group of people decided not to obey that and the fire alarm went off in all rooms plus turned on sprinklers in that room. Felt bad for managememt. They also need to skip yhe virtual check in as some of us are not tech savy. Staff was great !

The check in check out is a kiosk with a person through a machine. Please don’t be greedy and hire a person to be at the front desk. My company will never hire here again. It was dehumanizing to have to deal with kiosk not a human.

This property is at the edge of town, near a transient area. It was ‘semi’ industrial, with homeless people, litter, and general despair. Checkin was conducted via a virtual assistant which negated any personal warmth or engagement. The office area had no furniture, tables, or chairs and was physically locked until breakfast at 7 AM. Overall, a very unpleasant experience and we will not return.

Location was fabulous! Close to hiking and loved being able to walk behind the hotel to the beach and watch the sunsets. Checking in with a virtual person was a little odd. The only issue was when I needed change for laundry and there was no human around to ask.

Would not recommend, even if it is close to the beach. No staff - check in is a kiosk where you speak to an agent in the Philippines. Room was old, dirty, and outdated. The homeless people in tents camped across the street were noisy.

Standard hiway hotel. Nothing special. Lots of security cameras both inside and outside the office. Good hot water and ok pressure in shower. Bathroom is large since sink is not in same room. Breakfast really isn't. Coffe and packaged mini muffin. Ocean view room does have ocean view - just across the RV camping area next door. Curtains on windows don't allow full view thru window. Beach is about 100 meters away, but its a dirty area and beach. Overall it is just OK for a one night passing through stay. Just don't expect much.

The room was clean and the bed was okay. I would say that it was a good value for what we paid and decent when compared to the other places in the area. Breakfast was pretty sparse so we ate at Sea Front Baking Company which was really good and I highly recommed.

It was fine, nothing fancy. We were just using it as a stop over and they were dog friendly. We had a nice beach walk in the morning. Don't pay extra for the "ocean view" The "breakfast" is also not worth it. It's warm coffee and a couple cheap granola bars.

Electronic check-in kiosk and nobody at the desk was a surprise forcing guests to perform unsafe operations like scanning ID and electronic signing with identity theft being one of the most common threats. Closest beach serves mostly as dog toilet. Lacks facilities. Ocean views are nice but unfortunately good bay type of panoramic view window in the room got nonsensical drapes treatment that blocks half of that view. Impossible to understand. No hot breakfast, just granola bars, and cupcakes. Zero proteins. There were good apples.

This motel advertised having breakfast included! 2 types of cereal bars, 2 different muffins and an apple is not a actual breakfast! That was a disappointment! We were gone for most of one day and when we returned our room keys wouldn’t work! I was a little concerned as to why the key card codes would be changed in the middle of our stay! Ok enough negative! It is a pretty nice place nice and quiet and the room was comfortable with a great view of the ocean!
