We enjoyed the fact that the location was close to restaurants. The property was not clean. The elevator didn’t work the whole time we were there. Dragging our luggage for the 4 days we were there was not very convenient. Also the security was very poor. Had people coming in of the street come in at night because the doors were never locked.

It was my second time spending time at this property overall it was good it just sucked that the elevator was not working and we had to walk up and down the stairs to our room on the third floor. I wish they offered some kind of assistance or free breakfast for the elevator being out of order. Apparently it’s been out of order for months. Other than that the staff was welcoming and the bar had amazing margaritas. Will definitely come back if the prices are good 👍

During a heatwave their elevators are broken for the next 4 weeks, yet they are booking rooms on the 3rd floor! It was awful. There was no apology, no do count, not even a waiver of the $15 parking fee or $3 water bottles. Nothing. There is no customer service. Do not go here

Great stay. I wish I had parked overnight on the street instead of paying 18 in the lot. Bed and room was very modern and comfy. Very nice area of town close to dining and shops. Surprised to find earplugs in room but emergency vehicles made it clear why - thanks staff! Check out the farmers market on Saturday. Really nice kids playground there if you have young ones.

The team members were wonderful. However the facilities were run down. The elevator buttons were broken and sometimes did not work. The facet in the bathroom leaked. The shower head and bathtub ran at the same time and drain plug didn't work. Both beds in the room squeaked. The location was good.

Seems very old and dingy. Lobby & bar looked nice, but the bar wasn’t open the entire weekend. The AC didn’t work so 1st night was rough. They did come & fix it the next day. Definitely not worth what I paid. Would never recommend this place.

Downtown and close to restaurants, however could be cleaner. Chemical smells in the corridors couldn’t totally mask the odors, some of which lingered in the room which still contained items from the previous guests. This is the second time in this hotel but now may be the last.

There was what looked like black mold around the top of the shower which they had to come clean. I asked if there was another room and was told they were over booked and there were no openings in town due to 2 college graduations, 2 weddings, and a funeral. After that first afternoon, I heated water for tea in the kureg and it was brown and filthy, there were black smudge all over the sheets and pilliow cases so they had to bring me new ones at 12:15am, I cleaned my feet and after walking kn the carpet they were pitch black , there was smelly stagnant water on the balcony that stank, the halls smelled so bad another person staying there who I did not know said it smelled like a porta pottie. There was a puddle of something leaking from the garbage can right next to the elevator that was not cleaned up the entire time I was there. I could go on and on. It was so bad that the property manager OFFERED TO COMP MY ENTIRE STAY. They said I should be receiving an email with a full credit which they had already informed Egencia about via email before I left the property.

Parking was not available, despite having to pay for it. No room service provided in 1 week. Air conditioning unit made terrible noise which was distracting and made it difficult to sleep. I am requesting two nights, of my 14 night stay, be complimentary or refunded. Please reach out for any additional concerns.

This is a shabby hotel. The elevator door makes a slapping noise when they shut. The refrigerator had leftover food. There was a panty on the carpet openly visible at the end of the table. Also, the cleaning people comes alternate days.

The hotel is bottom of the barrel and needs to be completely gutted. It smells terrible throughout, the hall carpets are filthy and the elevator is rickety. Despite the claim of free wireless, it did not work the entire time. The room never was cleaned by housekeeping either. If I wanted a miserable experience I would have stayed at the Motel 6 and saved a couple hundred bucks

We were disappointed with our stay. The hotel is two separate buildings and we were in the one in the back. The door to the building was not locked so anyone could walk through. The hallways weren’t clean and the building had a weird smell. Don’t let the pictures fool you. The patio area between the two buildings was not anywhere I would want to spend time.

The staff was excellent and very helpful. However the room was dirty. The bathroom floor was sticky and dirty and smelled mouldy. The sleeping area and the hallway area smelled bad. It smelled like it used to be a smoking floor, even though it was listed as non smoking. On the positive side; The lobby was clean and bright. I wish the room matched the lobby.

PROS: Right downtown which is charming with multiple restaurants, shops, movie theaters, and bookstores within 1-2 blocks. Lobby pleasant. Staff very nice CONS: Property right next to train tracks with train horns sounding several times a night disturbing my sleep - advice to Hilton: please invest in double-paned windows!!; hallway carpet worn and needs replacing; room we were in had portable A/C unit with intake hose sticking out window making train sounds even louder; hot water in shower early in morning did not come on... later in morning heat working better. I would recommend trying other hotels in area until Hilton addresses some major infrastructure issues.

The location of this property is perfectly in the downtown area. We didn’t drive at all once we were there. Probably the best thing about this hotel. The room was clean and conveniently had a microwave and fridge. HOWEVER, the AC clicked all night which was so annoying and the bed… ugh, the bed. It constantly moved off the bottom box and the pillows were terrible. The walls are thin and we could hear almost everything every night. I suppose those are all depending on your preferences but just my opinion.

Pros: The front desk people are wonderful, the room and property are very clean, it is close to restaurants, shopping, and the UC Davis campus. The room is well stocked with coffee, tea, and toiletries, and the fridge and microwave are super convenient. Cons: Our room did not have blackout curtains, so it was not even remotely dark in there at night. The top sheets on the bed were not even as wide as the mattress, which was super weird, and the duvet was far too thin and not warm enough at all.

Nice room but the hotel is next to Caltrans railroad so it’s noisy when they toot their horn. The hotel does offer complimentary ear plugs which help. Walking distance to many eateries.

Easy check-in, nice room. A little bit confusing at first because there are two different buildings and we had a little trouble finding where our room actually was, but they were very helpful at the front desk and sorted it out for us. All in all, it’s a nice property. Very quiet and clean. My only complaint is that as a tea drinker, there is no way to simply make hot water in the room. The coffee maker only works if there is a Keurig pod installed. They do offer Jasmine tea pods but if you’re looking just to make a hot water to use your own teabag, you’re out of luck

The front desk could not find my 160. pre-paid reservation at 2:00 a.m. when I arrived. She told me I had to get a new order and charged me 190.00 rate for my room. The next day Hilton tried to charge me 160. for said 160. prepaid reservation and I had to decline it through my bank. It had been flagged as a fraud. Not good business. Where is my 30.00 difference and free night for this mess? No less at 2:00 am. The homeless encampment near the parking was also threatening for two elder women arriving at 2:00 a.m.

One night stay. The room was clean and large. The air conditioner did not function properly. Called the front desk at midnight and there was no answer. We opened the window and listened to the trains for 3 hours until the room finally cooled down to a comfortable temperature. Requested a wake up call that never happened.

The hotel is in a great spot in relation to downtown Davis. The only draw back is the proximity to the train station. The train whistles are loud at times, but not worth complaining about to the management the way a guest was when i was checking in.Read the descriptions carefully Karen.

Nice property in great location. Staff friendly and accommodating. Breakfast should be offered free of charge, as it is simple and basic. Many other hotels offer more extravagant breakfasts included with the room. Also, diamond member perks are virtually non-existent at this location- meager daily spending allotment, no free parking, etc.

We always stay here when we visit Davis. First time we had trains passing by enough to disturb our sleep. We were in a room above the carport that faces the tracks. Still not a bad room because of the train. I find trains soothing at times. The hotels breakfast is overpriced. They serve what other hotels consider a continental breakfast for $15.00. Still saved us from having to get breakfast before we hit the road. Definitely recommend this hotel.

Very nice room-clean and comfortable. Location is very convenient to downtown cafes, bars and shops. On the negative side, coffee was horrible, both in the room and the lobby. We were not happy about the $15 fee for parking and shocked that there was a $15 charge for Continental breakfast! Needless to say, we went elsewhere. On our return trip to Davis we selected another hotel in which to stay with no parking fees or breakfast charge.
