Family trip for 2 nights, 2 rooms. Nice that they accommodated us by putting rooms next to each other. It’s a walk down hill to the pool and spa which was nicely heated but if you need to use the restroom you have to walk back to your room. Good breakfast and plenty of seating.

Rooms were clean, staff was friendly, Jacuzzi was working, pool was open, breakfast was very good, they were repainting the lobby when we stayed there, but other than that, we had a very pleasant experience.

The hotel rooms appeared to be newly remodeled, they were very clean and well equipped with all your standards amenities. The room had a fridge, coffee machine and microwave. The bedding was comfortable and the mattress was probably one of the best I’ve ever had in a hotel bed, wouldn’t mind having that mattress at home, so comfortable. The pillows on the other hand were not the greatest, if management reads this, better pillows. Breakfast was offered, I’ve stayed at other Holiday Inn Express before and felt more options were available at other properties. The breakfast was convenient to have at the hotel. The pool area needs some upgrading, the pool furniture was outdated and broken, the pool deck area was dirty and had leaves all around and piled up in a corner. Towels were available for guest, that’s a plus. The hot tub needs to be redone , the plaster was coming off, we ended up with some scapes and abrasions because of the roughness of the hot tub. All in all 4 out of 5. Would stay here again.

Deck outside of office/dining building needs to be redone ASAP. Safety hazard. A lot of holes and rotten wood. As someone that has built decks I would recommend Treks as a replacement.

Had to wait to write this review to make sure I got my deposit back first... thirty-nine days later. I stayed here for 4 nights. The room was ok. Not great, but not terrible. The hallway, on the other hand smelled like a dirty diaper the entire time I was there. As bad as that was, it's not even close to the worst part. I understand holding a $100 deposit, but that should be released within a few days to a week after check out. They're going to tell you they release it within that reasonable period. What actually happens is something else entirely. I just got my deposit back 39 days after checking out of the hotel! I even called to check after a couple of weeks and they absolutely assured me they had already released it, and completely refused to even listen to me when I explained that the hold was still there. I travel to the central coast several times a year and I can assure you, under no circumstances will I EVER stay at this hotel again.

After getting our room we looked for hand towels,wash cloths, bath towels but none were found. The front desk had none to give us. After an hour they notified us towels were available. The trap for the shower/tub was broken. A breakfast was provided but only some items were replenished after only 1 1/2 hours into a 3 hour breakfast period. Nothing was said those people who took”extra food” in covered plates which included those items not replenished. Such as, boxed single serving cereals, yogurts, muffins, bagels and cream cheese, cartons of milk , eggs and sausage. No beverages aside from coffee were provided in the breakfast area. The juice machine had a sign on saying it was broke. In our room, a dirty wash cloth was left of the dresser, empty plastic water bottle was left on the floor in plain view as well two wadded up were found behind the trash container by the dresser.

Upon check in we were not told about any of the amenities like pool or free breakfast. Room was dirty, shower head falling, balcony had ashes, dirt and cigarette buds and beds were extremely uncomfortable.

This is my go-to when I have to travel here for business. The rooms are recently renovated and are clean, comfortable and modern. Love the layout and the little kitchenette with a good sized fridge and microwave allows me to fix my own meals when I feel like it. The desk has ample space for work. Breakfast is basic but warm. Easily reached off the highway with no shortage of parking.

The ONLY disappointing thing was no table lamp on the desk although there is a switch that illuminates that wall higher up but not enough light to read or write, and the TV does not rotate to watch while at the desk. Other than that, I can recommend and will continue to book my coastal stays at Holiday Inn Express Grover Beach, very satisfied with everything else. Stayed in room 200 and though its next to the parking lot the noise level was minimal and you get a small terrace outside the sliding door for fresh air when needed

Suzanne was very helpful polite and answered all our questions. She explained how things work and even helped us get started on planning the next trip we want to take and of course for got a couple of things from home we were able to get them for free which makes it convenient.

I liked the lady at the front desk. She was very nice, polite and was able to get us in our room a little early since I had my elderly mom. Also, I felt comfortable to leave my mom there while taking a drive to the pier. The room was very clean, the beds were comfortable and the breakfast was great.

Definitely recommend this hotel!! Tucked away from other properties but next door to a brewery, Italian bistro and steakhouse. Good location and convenient to other stores. Freeways, etc. Very clean room, quiet stay and good morning breakfast.

This place was okay. The breakfast was disappointing. The breakfast site was very small and the options sucked. Also the hotel seems to be divided into three buildings: the lobby and the two buildings where the guests stay. The rooms where very nice, clean and modern.

The rooms were clean and looked nice. Beds were very soft and comfortable. They had good shampoo in the shower. Breakfast was hot buffet with powder scrambled eggs, sausages, pancakes, cinnamon buns, and more. Cereal was in individually packaged and a good variety. Would recommend for a family vacation.

They are remodeling the area of the breakfast. I can not go up and down steps. My two sisters can they pick up food and coffees for mom,99, and mr. What was missing was the waffles andvthe juice machine. The food that they had was good. Eggs, potatoes, and toast or bagles was tasty.
