What a beautiful resort! I would love to have stayed longer. When we arrived, the man at front desk upgraded our room to one with a balcony and a great view of the water. There's a lovely pool and hot tub, along with a man-made sand beach with chairs around fire pits. The beef tacos at the restaurant were amazing. I like to exercise and there's a walking trail across the bridge to downtown Long Beach. The hotel also has a nice gym with room to move and nice equipment. We walked to the aquarium. The hotel is also within walking distance of the Queen Mary.

The hotel is really cool how they’ve set up the space with a little beach, it has a nice pool and hot tub, the fire pits at night are awesome. It’s a short walk or drive over to the pier shops and restaurants and the Fuego restaurant onsite is really good too. All staff was very friendly and helpful and it has a good gym.

The hotel and staff were nice. The brought extra towels when requested. Our toilet did not work. It is not walkable to other food or amenities, you just have to get transportation. The shuttle to cruise ship was very nice.

Our room was extremely dirty. The floors hadn’t been properly cleaned in quite some time, you could see the dirt clearly, and it stuck to our socks. When we left towels on the floor, they picked up visible grime. It was obvious the room hadn’t been mopped in a long time. On top of that, there was a strong, unpleasant odor throughout the room.

$45 for parking a day, when there's nowhere else to park? Dirty balcony, our feet were black after 1 min outside. Added gratuity for every room service purchase and restaurant. Old tile in bathrooms and popcorn ceiling aged the place, regardless of remodeling. It felt and smelled old. For the positive: location is great and the beds are comfy.

A nice view from the room/balcony. The room/building was a little outdated looking but was pretty nice overall. The fridge froze everything in it, and no microwave which for the price there should be one. The wifi didn't work and you could hear everything just outside the room where people were coming and going from nearby rooms. I would probably stay there though if I was in the area again, for the views alone, there's just not really another option nearby like it. Not too far from downtown area, but you're in for a decent walk to and from nearby restaurant options.

We recently stayed at Hotel Maya. Overall, it was a mixed experience. The beds are advertised as queens but felt closer to doubles, which made them a bit cramped. The pool wasn’t very clean during our stay, though we did enjoy the hot tub and the overall quiet atmosphere of the property. The rooms are a little dated, and unfortunately the floors in our room were very dirty — it felt gross to have dirty feet before even crawling into bed. On the positive side, the service was good. There is no blackout curtain! Just a mesh-like auto blind thing. In a city, that means you have a giant bright nightlight alllll night and sun first thing in the morning. First hotel i've ever stayed in that didn't have blackout curtains!

We love Hotel Maya but wish the on property restaurant Fuego was better. And the property itself: buildings, rooms and infrastructure are getting quite worn. We had to have the maintenance staff replace the AC unit as it was very loud and weezy and would come on constantly even when set to off. This was particularly annoying when on the balcony enjoying the view and the AC comes roaring on. Kind of killed the vibe

I absolutely loved this stay! Beautiful property. We took the free Passport bus into downtown for food as the restaurant options were pricey and the selection was limited. They offered a free (tip your driver) shuttle to the cruise port. Overall a great experience and I would recommend the stay!

For the price it is not worth it. The rooms were not cleaned properly. The floors were filthy. The elevators were out of service and there was a man yelling all hours of the night. It definitely was not worth what we paid for. Do better Maya Hilton!

The property is gorgeous but what I am happy to say is that the people working there are courteous, kind and thoughtful. Our daughter left her blanket behind after checkout, that she has had for 10 years since birth. We didn't realize this until we were in the middle of the Pacific Ocean on a cruise. Several days later, when we called the hotel, they said that the cleaning person had found the blanket and held onto it for us. A little over a week later, after porting back in Long Beach, we stopped by the hotel and they did indeed find her blanket and gave it back to us. This was so extremely kind and you made this mama's heart so happy and a little girl overjoyed to have her baby blanket back. Thank you staff, you rocked!!

There is nothing immediately nearby except the cruise port and the Queen Mary. We were able to walk across the pedestrain bridge to get to restaurants and other shopping but there are no drug stores or grocery stores within walking distance. The property commons areas could use a little TLC but our room was clean, comfortable and looked nice. Id stay here again if i left on a cruise from here, the complementary cruise shuttle was great to have when you get nickel and dimed for everything else.

Very beautiful scenery is pretty much all this place has to offer. Restaurant is pricey and options limited. No Doubletree cookies, nothing complimentary but Coffee; seems like a ripoff for the price. Very great place to stay if you’re going on a cruise as they offer shuttles. But outside of the shoreline, beauty of the hotel, & a cruise shuttle, there isn’t much here. Comfortable room though, employees were friendly. Front desk very attentive.

first of all hotel service was great and staff were very friendly. however our first room 1510 had an awful sewer odor and we requested to move rooms. rooms felt dirty! also, was automatically charged 20% gratuity at the fuegp restaurant for the worst most horrible service for a party of 3!!!! that is not right!!

Everything at this hotel was excellent except the food at the restaurant. It was substandard undercooked not a very good experience room service breakfast potatoes brought back twice uncooked raw in the middle staff was wonderful in dealing with the situation, but the food is not ideal if we stay at the hotel again, we will be going to outside venues.

The only problem that I had was in morning having when having breakfast. when entering the restaurant, the food being offer had many flies roaming around the food that was offer to the guests and found flies inside the fruit cover. locations need manage and control this soon as possible. other than that was a great experience stay.
