Rockview Inn and Suites - Morro Bay CA

It was a nice spacious suite. Not a whole lot of amenities but beds were super comfortable! Shower had decent pressure considering Morro Bay. The fridge was spacious for our needs. The bathroom is small but the sink is putside of the bathroom. TV had a lot of channels. The parking lot was always available at various times of day woth no trouble.

Spacious, clean room. We were in a 2-queen room. Nice, firm beds - very conducive to a full night's rest :) Very close to the dining, shopping options that line the water's edge in Morro Bay. Parking is a little tight (we had a pick up) - but ok. At least the slots didn't get filled up.

The property was undergoing renovation so there is a lot of construction going on. Our room was finished, it is very large, a comfortable bed.there are no wall hangings, but there is a small table and two chairs. The property is very close to the embracadero and a very good breakfast and lunch cafe.

The property is aged, the rooms are up to date. It is pet friendly which is our preference. You can not beat the price. We recommend this location if you want to enjoy your trip and have a worry free experience.

The entire property was very clean! Staff was always available if I needed anything. Parking spaces were ample. Pet friendly as well.

This place was a decent place. Everything went well nice and quiet. The only thing I struggled with was the parking for the trucks you had to grab one at the end or park in the truck parking.

A great, independent family run hotel that was having renovations when we stayed. The room was very clean, and didn’t smell of strong detergent. The bed was very firm and comfortable. The property is quiet and attractive with landscaping. Excellent location in walking distance of shops/ restaurants/ the bay. We would definitely stay there again. They were very accommodating with our one pet and one service animal as well.

My husband and I have had to stay on and off at hotels this summer as our house is being remodeled. We stayed at many places in the area and this is a wonderful inn for a great value! The front desk is always welcoming and super accommodating. Housekeeping is on the ball and keeps your room clean and tidy. It is walking distance to all the restaurants and shopping. Beach a couple blocks away ! I highly recommend.

The staff here was great. The room was spotless. This was a Great value for what you get. I stayed several nights and then added on one more. I highly recommend this property.

A diamond in the rough. Despite looking like a typical motel, it is clean, tasteful and well-cared-for. A two-block walk from the bay and its amenities, it feels more like a well-loved local institution than any roadside inn. Will stay again.

The room appeared to be freshly remodeled-freshly painted, nice flooring, lovely white window shutters, plenty of space for 2 adults and a big dog, the shower is large & the modern tile/grout sparkled. Everything in the room was very clean and spotless. Beds were super Comfortable. No fancy frills here (which was fine with us) but we had everything we needed for safety, comfort and cleanliness! The refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, and TV worked efficiently, including the WiFi/Internet. It was quiet and no noise from adjacent rooms. Close to the Embarcadero and Carla’s restaurant, which is always a favorite! We will definitely come back here. Thank you Rockview!

Housekeeping only came through once during a four day stay and didn’t refill soap dispensers when they did finally come by.

The rooms seem to be newly remodeled and were clean. The location is perfect. The only bad thing is the walls are pretty thin...you can hear most of what's going on above and next to you. I would stay here again.

The only downside for us was the mattress was too high for us to sit on, so we had to manage to get on/off a certain way. And sitting on bed was not an option for me. A comfy chair would have been nice to watch tv. The mattress was a little soft so our backs hurt until we figured out how to sleep a certain way. Probably just fine for. Others. Maids were very prompt to make up our rooms when we left. Loved the location.

Everything was good except noisy people upstairs and all night

Very comfortable bed, clean, big room. Quiet. We stayed on 2nd floor had a very beautiful view of Morro Rock where our room was located. Walking distance to embarcadero. Have stayed here before will stay again.

We had a fantastic stay here! The room was spotless and modern, with a perfect view of Morro Rock right from our window. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and welcoming—truly above and beyond. Easily the best value in town. Highly recommended!

Customer service was great. Rooms for a decent size also very clean. Beds were comfortable. I enjoyed my stay there. I will be staying there again. How the shops and restaurants are in walking distance. Smile

This is our go to hotel in Morro Bay. Always pleasant to stay there. Kind and helpful front desk. Easy to park. Peaceful and calm and safe. Very comfortable hotel that meets all of our requests in a goodnight’s stay.

We had trouble finding the Super Bowl tv station and I called the front desk and they were very helpful. Also they cleaned the room after the first night. First time since Covid I’ve had the room cleaned!

The front office lady was having a bad day.

Arrived after 10 pm and was still able to check in. Neighborhood was quiet. Good cafe nearby in the morning. Not far from Cal Poly. I would come back during move-in in September

First time staying here at Rockview Inn and we were welcomed and greeted graciously by the general manager at check in. Our room was easily located and super clean. Comfortable bed and very spacious with lots of tv channels. Highly recommend this Inn and we will be returning very soon.

Unacceptable Discrimination Against Disabled Guest I have stayed at Rockview Inn before and had excellent experiences, so I did not expect such a distressing stay. I was traveling with my husband and our 2 service dogs, and from the moment I checked in, I was subjected to discriminatory treatment. When I disclosed I had service animals, the receptionist immediately demanded to see “certification papers” and “tags on their collars.” I explained that: It is illegal under the ADA (28 C.F.R. § 35.136 & § 36.302) to require documentation, certification, or special tags/registries as no such registry exists. Service animals are not pets, and charging pet fees is prohibited. Despite this, the receptionist charged me pet fees and only voided after I showed her the ADA guidance on my phone. The next morning, she had again charged me, claiming she believed only 1 of my dogs was a service animal. She reluctantly voided that charge as well, but not before subjecting me to further questioning and harassment. Finally, she handed me an “ADA Service Animal Verification Form” and said they would “verify with ADA.” The ADA does not have or maintain any registry, nor do hotels have authority to “check” animals against some list. As a disabled guest, this was humiliating, discriminatory, and in direct violation of my rights. This experience was not only upsetting but unlawful.I hope management trains staff properly, and ensures other disabled guests are not subjected to this harassment.

We stayed here for 2 nights. I forgot my retainer in the room and called the hotel the next day. The lady said they didn’t find anything and said she should have called sooner. Then she hung up the phone on me. I do not recommend this place. If you leave a personal item behind they will not return it.

Clean & modern. Has all the necessity like frig and microwave. & best part is that it’s a block from all the restaurant & Morro Rock. I basically walk to all the attraction and to the beach. Located on the major intersection. It’s my second time staying there and I love it!

This room was perfect! Clean comfortable and walkable to the rock/beach/dining. Microwave and large mini frig as well as a single cup coffee maker in the room. We will definitely stay here again when I visit my son.

Very clean walking distance to restaurants and pier.

We stayed in a king room and it was right next to the office which was really great and also the ice machine was right basically outside our door the bed was Nice and we slept well. The room was a good size. The only downfall is they don’t have breakfast but right down the street as a restaurant with really good food.

This property is within walking distance to all the good restaurants and Morrow Bay attractions. Clean property and room with convenient parking and a cozy bed with comfortable cotton sheets. There is a med size mini fridge, microwave and coffee machine in the room. The manager is so friendly and helpful. We would stay there again for sure!
