The parking is limited. The room was small and average. We had the handicapped room. We were worried because we were in a breezeway and there was a lot of talking outside the room. Once it was midnight the noise was gone. The office hours was limited. We ended up just leaving the keys in the slot without getting a paper receipt. Very disappointing.

It was a very clean hotel with friendly staff. Our complaint was the a/c didn’t work well and the beds have some sort of metal skirt around the bottom that squeaks whenever you move. The location was close to the beach and a bike ride to town. There is a nice little fire pit with a seating area outside. The rooms are basic and nothing spectacular. However, we would stay again for the purpose we were in town for.

No pool, no amenities, no breakfast, and it smells like curry. I like curry though. Honestly. I’d book again if it was less than 100$ but the price didn’t match the amenities.

It was nice we booked the family suite which was spacious. There however is no pool like stated. Trash cans were overflowing. There was guest in the courtyard that was too loud well past 11

The room was clean, but needed attention. Fan in the bathroom was missing, faucet in shower was loose, shower walls had glue on them, maybe from a soap container. Everyone was friendly, but no real amenities. It is close to the Hiway 1.

Booked the king suite and got checked in smooth but once we got into the room it had cockroaches all over and smelled like cockroaches, they didnt have another suite available so they put me in a smaller room and denied a refund even just for the difference in room cost when i paid extra for the king suite.. ive stayed at this hotel throughout the years but my first time getting a suite and i WONT be going back due to the service and cleanliness

The buildings, rooms and surrounding property need a little TLC. The hotel has a lot of potential that is not being tapped into. The room I stayed in was not clean, lots of dust on the light fixtures and on the carpet around the bed and night stand.

Unfortunately the room had a really bad smell. And I think it was coming from the fridge. It smelt like someone had been gutting fish. When I went to reception to ask to be moved,I was told to open the door or use air freshener. I did go and buy some but honestly it made no difference and I couldn't wait to leave

When we check in the window was open and the whole room had a horrible smell. We sprayed fragrance hoping that would help. Later we came back into room and there was roaches crawling on tv stand and who knows where else. We check out right then and there.

Room was filthy. I didn’t expect any frills or luxury, but at minimum did expect cleanliness. It was disgusting. My poor 6 year old opened the mini fridge and said it smelled like “throw up.” Would NOT recommend

Room didn't smell clean. Doors were dirty around the door knobs, shower curtain smelled like urine, overall the room didn't seem clean. We've been staying at Morro Shores for years and this is the first bad experience. We will definitely stay again, but just hope we don't get room 111 again.

Everything was very dusty in the room and there was a musty smell throughout the room. Floors were also dirty. The area was very noisy due to it being right off the freeway. Staff were not friendly. They called me twice before checking in and rudely ask when I was going to get there. They weren’t around during checkout and we had to leave the room keys in a Dropbox without a lock. Will definitely NOT be staying there again.

I’ve stayed at this hotel before and had no issues. So this is why I went back but this time did it for me to never go back ever again !!!!! I had woke up around 4am due to not being able to sleep , I was on my phone and I seen something crawling over our blankets in bed near where my arm rested, I flew up and it was a COCKROACH!!!!!!!!!!!! IN OUR BED CRAWLING AROUND AND IT WAS FAST!!!!! I was able to kill it before it crawled on my daughter because she slept with us in the bed !!!!!!!!!! I’ll never go back!!!!!!!

The bed was so old my husband and I felt like we were sleeping in canoes! He had one on his side as I did on mine, with a huge hump in the middle!! All night it felt like I’d roll off the bed! The leg fell off the table in the room and the lamp next to my side of the bed wasn’t even plugged in because it couldn’t reach the plug!! Bathroom light switch plate had a huge gap under it from it not being placed correctly. The front door had such a huge gap underneath and on the side you could see daylight! I pulled back the covers and removed several long hairs from the sheets! Needless to say I didn’t sleep much! But for the price I shouldn’t complain!! Wish I had taken pictures!!

This place was perfect for me, I stayed for 12 days. Close walk to the beach don’t have to cross any busy streets, comfortable bed, large TV that could pivot easily to watch from the bed or the couch. Decent Wi-Fi, a nice balcony, a toilet with a flush like a jet engine and also very affordable. Plus, great to give my business to a mom and pop outfit. Both of them were very nice.

Do NOT book a room with a couch bed and expect to have anyone sleep on it. It’s pure springs and miserable. I asked to switch rooms so o can can two queens beds instead of the King/coach bed room that I had booked and they wanted to charge me and additional $50 to switch it. A/C didn’t work in our room either and it was muggy hot. Won’t book here again.

The Inn was nice. Clean. Heater worked. Bed good. The traffic noise required that I keep on White Noise the entire night. Cars driving up the on ramp to Hwy 1 South were SO SO NOISY, that I had to use the white noise. My room faced the wrong way, I suppose. So dont take a room on the EAST side of the nice Morro Shores Inn....

The hotel was close to the shops and the beach; I didn’t have to drive far to get where I wanted to go. The room itself was comfortable but needed updated furniture and decor as it looked a bit run down. The hotel was very noisy and the walls were pretty thin because you could hear conversations from the room next door. Early one morining, someone was arrested right outside my door so obviously, I didn’t enjoy experiencing that. Overall, the room was just ok and I most likely will not choose this hotel again in the future.

Morro Shores Inn & Suites is a motel-style hotel. It is clean and modest. We stayed in Room 210. The maintenance staff does not seem to check if all the lamps are working or if the shower is functioning properly. In our room, the shower sprays water in all directions, including the ceiling, and the bedside lamp doesn't work. In the evening, there is no staff available to address these issues.

They refused to give me my room. I did not stay here. I showed up and because I did not have the same credit card that I used to book the room, they refused to let me stay. They even charged me the no show fee when I actually showed. Horrible hotel and horrible money hungry owners. They even stated that me when I asked them to refrain from charging me a no show fee, “How do you expect us to make money?” I was flabbergasted. After driving 6 hours to get there, I had no hotel room for me and my son.

They were very rude. They didn’t listen. The lady was very rude and we had service animals and she was trying to charge us for the service animals and she tried to as we were high them. Then she locked us out of the room.

staff member opened the door on me while I was taking a shower. There was no secondary lock on the door so they opened they were able to open the door and I had to yell. I was so scared after that. Wouldn’t stay here again unless I had a more secure door

We booked and paid for a room online indicating that we would arrive late that evening (after 12am). Hotel called around 10pm and the lady was extremely rude saying that we had to notify them of our late arrival. When I mentioned I did (apart from the note we left on our reservation I also called at 9:30 to verbally confirm and they didn’t answer) she demanded to know when we would arrive, to which I replied by 1am. She said to call or ring the service bell then hung up. When we arrived before 1, we tried calling 3 times, and rang the service bell. We called a fourth time and the same lady picked up and when I said we were there to check in she hung up. We waited and no one came to the desk. We were left to find another hotel at 1 am and ended up having to drive back to SLO and pay for another room. I called the next morning to complain and the same person tried to deny that I had called and then said I had to take up the issue with management for a refund. Expedia also reached out on our behalf and our claim was denied. For a small town motel, this is absolutely unacceptable. Not only has this experience tainted our time in Morro Bay but we will be sure to never return to this motel.
We booked and paid for a room online indicating that we would arrive late that evening (after 12am). Hotel called around 10pm and the lady was extremely rude saying that we had to notify them of our late arrival. When I mentioned I did (apart from the note we left on our reservation I also called at 9:30 to verbally confirm and they didn’t answer) she demanded to know when we would arrive, to which I replied by 1am. She said to call or ring the service bell then hung up. When we arrived before 1, we tried calling 3 times, and rang the service bell. We called a fourth time and the same lady picked up and when I said we were there to check in she hung up. We waited and no one came to the desk. We were left to find another hotel at 1 am and ended up having to drive back to SLO and pay for another room. The staff was so incredibly rude when I showed up to check in. They were telling me it was too late even though I showed up at 9:30pm and their policy states they’re open until midnight. The woman at the desk also told me I needed to leave by 10am and since I was leaving earlier that my boyfriend had to leave when I left as well. She kept insinuating we were going to destroy the room and saying she was going to charge me 200 if anything happened. I’ve stayed here twice before and was never treated like that before I was incredibly uncomfortable and felt very belittled. DO NOT STAY HERE unless u want to be berated.

We booked through hotels.com and chose to pay @ hotel @ checkin. Morning of stay, 8am sharp, one of the proprietors calls me wanting payment because they are sold out, and if we won't be there by the 3pm check-in they are going to give our room away. It was very difficult to understand what he was saying. I assured him we will be there for our room, and offered a deposit. Not good enough, and he hangs up on me. Then a woman calls who is even more difficult to understand, I assure her were coming, and will be there for our room. She says something about selling our room and hangs up on me when I won't give her all my CC info because she was writing it down and we were paying in cash. I call back to make sure we have our room, and they hang up on me again. My husband tries and the woman does the same to him. Finally we get a call from a different # and this man is much easier to understand but they are still demanding we PRE PAY in order to keep our room. At this point we don't want to stay there, the last thing we want to do is pay them...but EVERYWHERE is sold out or double the price. We have no choice. We prepay. At check in, 3 TIMES, the kid checks and says there is no reservation. The the rude woman comes out and finds it, we get our room. We go to our event. Come back, and keys don't work. Again. Every opportunity they had to make things difficult, THEY TOOK IT. They were RUDE AF. I took valuables with us at all times, because I DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE. STAY AWAY!

People were load in the early morning throwing suit cases down the stairs. We were refused to allow to do laundry at 945 pm because the office closed at 10pm but online it said they closed at midnight, so my son did not have clothes that didn’t smell like fish bait. Otherwise room was good the bed was okay. Not really amenities. Not close to downtown where the restaurants are. Beach about a 3 min walk.

Throughout the night you will hear various ticking sounds and you will be sleep deprived. I do not know where those noises are coming from. some switch is going on and off through out the night. From a location standpoint, it is very convenient, it is right off of route 1.

This place is just outside the main downtown area which was a bonus for us. Just a couple of blocks from the beach it was much less crowded. Could see the ocean from our balcony. Great spot for the price, we will be back!

The hotel is clean and comfortable but just needs to tweak a couple of things. There should be a clock in the room so people know what time it is without checking their phones while they sleep. The shower needs some treads on floor its too slippery. Coffee was offered but without cream or sugar.

A friend of mine and I were taking a road trip up the coast. We were literally only sleeping and getting back on the road so we didnt take advantage of anything at the building just the beds. It was great to park and get right into the room. The gentleman at the desk was very nice and helpful. It was a great, convenient stay.
