Doors slamming nonstop all morning long. Couldn’t get any good sleep. Rooms are spacious but the bathroom sliding doors are hideous and the shower hardly provides any water and with zero water pressure. Staff was friendly and helpful to the best of their ability. Best thing about this hotel is the rooftop deck.

Room with a view! Parking is small/limited, but we got there early so we got a spot. Breakfast was so so, waffles, hard boiled egg, toast, bagel, jam/cream cheese, oatmeal, coffee/tea/OJ/milk. (Add pastries, bacon or sausage would be nice)

All very good except: gym open 24 hours- the gym is not really a gym and has 2 machines where u can only walk - no other equipment . The breakfast is extremely non existent. You can get coffee and a waffle but that is basically it.

Right from the beginning, the staff was friendly, caring, and helpful. The room was pleasant and it had a view of Morro Rock. Its even better from the roof top! The sunset is amazing. The contential breakfast was clean with a variety of protein foods; egg omellete, sausages, yogurt. Pet Friendly was the best part because we had our dog. Location was fantasic because walking to shops and eatries was easy. To top it off, pizza was right behind the hotel. It was a great spot! The only drawbacks was the hall flooring, i felt like I was walking in space as the floor was soft. You could hear yourself walking and thinking I should step quietly. I really enjoyed the place.

We visited Morro Bay for a birthday weekend Nd decided on Ascot Suites. I splurged a little and chose the "Tower" suite with king bed, fireplace and huge bathroom shower! It's clean, well-lit and the view of Morro Rock was beautiful. Second floor also gave us a front row seat at the tornado warning headed our way. It was great drama unfolding but alas, a tornado didn't come. Just heavy rain and gusts of wind. Kinda romantic to see holding my baby by the fireplace. Check-in/out was a breeze. We had to do late check-in and if you do this, make sure you call ahead so they are expecting you. Otherwise the whole building closes down at 10 PM and without a key card you cannot get in. Breakfast is served in the choices very. I say it's above average with offerings of eggs, sausage, strong coffee and fresh made waffles. They also have a great rooftop lounging area that overlooks the entire bay including a straight shot view of Morro rock. Fire pit and couches available up there. We couldn't take full advantage of it though because of inclement weather, but seems like a romantic spot.This is the best place we've stayed at in Morro Bay and if that tower suite is available next time around, we'll definitely be back

The property has a great location within walking distance of anything you need. The property has a rooftop deck that was great for watching the sun set and enjoying the complimentary wine during happy hour. The breakfast was adequate finding enough things to keep it interesting for the four day stay. The one issue we had was there is some deferred maintenance creeping in but not enough to stop us from staying here again if the opportunity presents itself. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The hotel was nothing like the images posted. The first room we were put in was filthy and still had food on the counter from the previous travelers. The floor was filthy and the bedding was not at all changed. The second room was equally as filthy. The floor was not swept or mopped. This room had an area rug that was filthy with stains and animal hair. The balcony was covered in spider webs so you couldn’t sit out on the balcony if you wanted to. The solution offered by the man at the front desk was to check out if we didn’t fell this was the place for us. Terrible service. I will never book another stay at this place. One thing we liked about the hotel was its vicinity to shops and dining. That’s about it.

When I walked in the lady at the front with dark hair was amazing . No phones in the room to call the front and then the next morning and took a shower and the shower was dirty and someone's hair was on the walls and you could see that the shower wasn't clean . I told the morning front desk guy and he says to me sorry sorry will have someone clean it .. ?!!! Really ? How about hat will take care of you for that happening . No didn't happen

The table and TV were in an awkward position. No comfortable position to view TV. The tub was not cleaned thoroughly, mold still in jacuzzi spouts. Mold on outside of shower. No makeup mirror and no microwave. Pillows were very used.

We loved our stay at the Ascot suites in Morro bay. Big room, clean and modern. The fireplace and rain shower were extra luxurious. The staff was friendly and helpful ( Shout out to Kai at the front desk!) We'll definitely stay here again.

The location is great, just 1 small block from all the Morro Bay shops. Parking was easy, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. You don't even have to call if you need anything, just text. The finishes from when it was remodeled are nice, but there were a lot of little things like can lights hanging 1-2" out of the ceiling, the light on the mini-split being so bright it kept us up and needed to be covered, the toilet paper holder being barely attached the wall. Our room was not ready at the 3PM check-in time, but just after 4PM instead, which was annoying, and our door handle worked intermittently. The light would turn green, but sometimes it took 4-5 attempts for the latch to engage and open. The biggest problem, and why we'll never go back, is that the walls are paper thin. We could hear every word of the conversations from the room next to us, and sometimes, even the room above us. They should have added insulation to all the walls between rooms during the remodel, rather than purely going for aesthetics. If sound doesn't bother you, or are ok with ear plugs, then it's great, especially since it's one of the few pet friendly options. If you have kids, can't wear ear plugs, or just want a quiet place to relax, you won't get that here if anyone is in the adjoining rooms.

As someone that travels for a living, this was one of the worst experiences of my life. Room had a broken A/C and broken bathroom door. When I spoke to the woman in the front desk she said “oh yea we wouldn’t get that fixed.” Referring to the door. Than said “try opening the balcony door for air” when I told her the AC was broken. As she says that, there is no spring door so she expected me to sleep with an open door with my 4month year old with seagulls all over the building. When I tried to ask for another room or compensation she said I had take it up to the property and expedia in hopes they can agree on a refund. Which they offered a $50 credit for my $300 booking… Just a pathetic hotel and overall service. DO NOT BOOK or spend your money here.

The rooms were clean. The noise was an issue for us. Both rooms next to us had music and television turned really loud until around midnight. We called the after hours number twice and no one answered. Guest above us woke yp @5am with heavy footsteps. So we slept maybe 4 hours and not consistent. Walls are paper thin!! If tou stay her request a top floor room and on the end..

Had an absolutely beautiful stay. I was a little apprehensive when I booked it, because I generally stay at chain hotels, but this one was awesome! I would not hesitate to stay here again, and the everyone on the staff was very attentive, friendly, and nice. There was a nice continental breakfast each morning. The location was great and close to the restaurants and shopping, all within a short walking distance. If you get to Morro Bay, check this place out.

The stay was fine. But it took 30 minutes for someone to get to the counter. I stood there as two employees walked by and saw me standing there. Two more guests entered and were surprised no one would answer the phone or come to the front. 30 minutes. There were bills sitting on the counter, and guests' names written on a paper with their information. It just seemed odd that no one would answer the phone or come to the front desk for 30 minutes. I finally asked a maintenance person to get someone.

Newly remodeled, very clean, friendly and helpful staff. We forgot some stuff in the fridge after check out and the nice cleaning lady let us back into the room. Breakfast was decent enough. Would absolutely stay again!

The Ascot is a nice place but beginning to show its age in very slight ways. Good location. The only other thing that I can think of for less than a five star is "breakfast". Some fruit, breads, cereals and a waffle maker pretty much sum it up. If you consider anything that would be in the protein group, eggs, sausage, bacon, as an essential for a true breakfast, you'll be disappointed as I was. There are some fast food places in the area as well as regular restaurants/coffee shops so all is not lost, but breakfast at the Ascot is less than a 5 star rating.

Hotel is in a nice convenient location with plenty of free parking. Breakfast was pretty basic, but the room we had was really nice and the beds were huge.
