We've been staying here since it was the Days Inn decades ago. We love the convenience it affords. They have upgraded the rooms over the years and remodeled and they are excellent. THE BEST SHOWER EVER! Better than most more expensive hotels we have stayed. Their pet friendly rooms are amazing and they give you a doggie bag when you check in with treats, toys and business cards with nearest vet amd grooming facilities. The only issue I have ever had with this property is tight parking. Otherwise, we love it and will continue to book here.

It was a trip for our anniversary and this hotel was perfect! Big room and good price. Close to our favorite taco place, within walking distance of many shops and restaurants. Staff is friendly and extremely helpful. The parking lot does get crowded at night, but that was our only issue. We will stay here again in the future, great place!

Great option for a stay in Morro Bay. We had a view of Morro Rock which was super but also meant we were faced away from the road noise which may impact other rooms. Comfortable beds. We appreciated the microwave in the room in addition to the fridge and coffee maker that you find most places. Also having access to a guest laundry is a plus. We could walk everywhere we wanted to go.

Laundry detergent apparently too strong for me. Couldn’t sleep on pillowcases. Great location in town. Parking spaces too small to get in and out of vehicle.

This was our second stay at the Harbor House Inn. Of the pet friendly hotels in Morro Bay, this location earns #1 in my books. The rooms are generously sized to hold a dog kennel - for our crate trained black lab - and finishing touches to the rooms are on point. The lighting in the bathroom, the curved shower bar, the in-room keurig with eco friendly reusable water and coffee cups.. I could go on. And let’s not forget the on-site coin-op laundry and dog wash. The staff are friendly and we will certainly be back! In fact, we turned a day trip to an overnight because of this hotel. It makes it that easy!

Accessibility to plenty of great parking. Convenient laundry facility, ice machine, and an area where you could wash your pet. Facility and rooms were very cllean. Rooms had a refrigerator, microwave, and a Keurig type coffee machine. Rooms are roomy. Table and two chairs. Beds are comfortable. Plenty of towels. Drawers for your clothes and a pause it to hang your clothes . Had a great view of the Morro rock from my room. Staff was very nice. Every day someone checked in with me to see if I needed anything. The facility checking in with me every day made a tremendous difference. Made it more pleasurable and shows that they care.

Easy access from the freeway. Location is close to eateries and shopping. The room is Comfortable. No elevator, easy stairs to 2nd floor. Great bang for the buck. Affordability priced.

Very clean, comfortable room. Very attentive staff. Reasonable rates and pet friendly. Extra fee for pets also reasonable. Walking distance to the Embarcado. We did, however, find the parking slots to be very tight for larger vehicles. Finding a slot on an end with no car on one side helped

The check in was very smooth. The room was incredibly clean and smelled very fresh. It was spotless. The fridge and the microwave was very clean. The sheets were clean and the bed was very comfortable. We appreciated it especially after our long 6hour drive. The hotel was about 7mins walk to the bay and it was a safe and peaceful area. Thank you.

bedsheets had stains. Coffee maker was broke. There was a quarter of a roll of toilet paper when I went to call the desk to get more toilet paper, the phone didn't work. There were big stains on the carpet soap dispensers in the showers were broken so they put the bottles on the side of the tub and they were filthy.

Absolutely spotless hotel. Maria was so helpful with our late check in. Our bed was comfortable and the shower was hot and plentiful. What a nice surprise that our queen room was so big!! I can highly recommend Harbor House

Very unfriendly woman at reception. We arrived at 2:45pm (check-in is listed as 3pm) and instead of welcoming us, she made a snarky remark about me “not knowing how to tell time.” Not exactly the kind of greeting you expect at a hotel. Once in the room, we found the floors very dirty, covered with sand and dirt.

Negative: - The room was not really clean. We travelled with a crawling baby, and his hands and feet were black from the floor. - The shower and room itself are a little bit outdated. - Very basic motel for an expensive price. Positive: - Nice location!! Everything is reachable within walking distance.

All the hotels in Morrow Bay are old, probably having been build prior to the 1970's. This one has been remodeled and was very clean and nice. Great location. Was able to walk just a couple of blocks to downtown, to the beach, to Morrow rock, to restaurants. Also across the street from a liquor store if you need to stock up.

Room was roomy. Nice refrigerator. Excellent shower for safety but lighting in restroom to dim. Floors were dirty and 2 pillows had hair and black stains. Twice the housekeeper left the patio door unlocked after cleaning room. Screen door had no lock! But overall we will return and we submit this review as constructive criticism to make your motel better for the next guests.

The disinfectant smell was overwhelming. Great staff. Literally won’t book again because the cleaning smell was so strong. Coffee maker did not work. Very loud leaf blower in the parking lot.

We had a delightful stay! This is our go to hotel when we visit Morro Bay. The location is perfect, the rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. Our room had a wonderful patio with comfortable furniture. We love how pet and family friendly this establishment is. The staff is always so warm, welcoming, and helpful. We will be staying here for years to come.

Room was updated, had refrigerator, nice towels, air conditioning and ceiling fan. Bed was very comfortable. Excellent location to downtown area and waterfront shops. Short walk about 15-20 min to Morro Rock area. Staff was good at communicating via text for check-in /out. We had 1st floor room so no view of the bay. Had fenced in private patio. Did not use-fence was high. Only real negative was water pressure was very low.

As other reviewers have said the structure is "light weight" and sound transmits through the walls quite easily. Management was very flexible for our late arrival and check out. Location is great, easy to find from the freeway, two blocks to views or coffee and shops.

The bed was extremely comfortable. We stayed three nights and slept very well. Had a giant fridge. Had a microwave. At night there was no traffic noise so you sleep really well. Also has a ceiling fan which was nice. Close to attractions, rock, beaches. My room looked newly remodeled.

The room was nicely renovated and clean. However beds were very old and uncomfortable. It’s older so you can hear everything above and outside. Nice location with easy access to Embarcadero. No breakfast or extras. Rollaways come with a charge. It was ok. Service was alright - nothing to write home about. It makes an ok budget family stay but I wouldn’t stay again.

Really bad service at check in. You have to pay to check in an hour early then when we returned they kept answering the phone and helping people that way rather than those in person. Bad etiquette. People skills were lacking in both workers.

Owner , im pretty sure he is the owner very nice allpwed me to check in early . I had 2 separate reservations he allowed me to not have to check in and out and allowed me to stay in the same room and i didnt have to move . Thank you

The communication and text messaging was much appreciated. We were able to communicate with the office and let them know that we would be arriving at 10:30 pm. When we passed the office, he was there within moments, welcoming us in a very warm, professional, and friendly manner. I also appreciated the fact that he waited for me to open the lock box. Get my key in order to get to my room safely before he closed the office. I also appreciated the text messaging I received on the following day Asking whether there was anything I needed and whether I was enjoying my stay and a reminder of checkout time, along with directions on how to check out. The communication at this hotel was so friendly and beneficial. When in Morro Bay, I typically stay at a different hotel. But our stay and service at this hotel was so outstanding that our future stays will be at your hotel. Thank you.

Staff went above and beyond. Had to message them about a late check in and they were very courteous and very nice by saying things like, "drive safely." Location was also great. Everything was walkable great breakfast at Karla's about 1-2 blocks over. Will def. return.

Great location - very walkable to and from the shops/restaurants and sites along the Embarcadero. Front desk attendants were very friendly. Communication via text was convenient and efficient. Very dog friendly - with a grass area right in front of the inn and dog treats/poop bags provided upon arrival. Would stay there again during a future visit to Morro Bay.

I like their "text" communication for checking in/out, staff are friendly, dog accomodation lowered level corner fence units however $25/night. Restaurants/shops 2-4 blocks away, check out Elephant Thai restaurant and Sun Shine healthy foods, stay away from Morro Bay tourist area. Drive 20 mins to down town SLO on Thursday night 6-9PM is really fun with 100's vendors farmers market. Visit Pismo Beach Splash Cafe for their popular clam chower bread bowl is a must.

The room was quiet and clean, but really had no views except of the parking lot. You couldn't see Morro Rock or the ocean from our room, but it was not more than a half mile to the water, so we drove down. No breakfasts served here, but several really good restaurants within a couple minutes. The hotel staff was helpful when our TV wouldn't work, and we appreciated that.
