Expedia listed King Suite Bay View Patio. It’s not a parking lot and partial bay view. The patios aren’t clean. Built up dust and diet, my husband had to rinse balcony guardrail so we could lean on it, the decks filthy. No towels in bath room. Also left over trash from razors etc left on windowsill from who knows when? Pools nice, but both pool and spas outdated and needs to be relined. Beautiful hotel but they need the revamp the place, and be more thoroughal about cleaning

We stood in dog friendly room. Room was okay, with a nice size patio facing the pool. You can hear ppl stomping pretty loudly but it wasn’t too bad since we were barely in the room. Also, the spa is closed but doesn’t disclose on booking sites. Loved the view from the restaurant, great ocean view.

The location of this hotel is wonderful. Right on the Bay, and next to the Bird Refuge. The PROBLEM was or room in the center of a row of rooms. We had almost NO internet. One bar intermittently with NO internet. When we asked the hotel staff about fixing it, they said, "well, no one else has complained. We'll let tech support know, but nothing changed. S

The only great thing of this hotel is the location and parking. It is in a quiet calm bay area. Hotel dissapointed us. Pictures and description didn’t match the reality. Upon entering into the room there was stinky odor . Room was dirty dusty same in restroom door and walls were visibly dirty. Room was not fresh… also they dont have daily houskeeping. I have been in this hotel during the pandemic it was maintained and clean much more better than now. Checkin/out was convenient however definitely we will not go back.

The property is beautiful. The staff is rude in hotel and restaurant. The room was decent. Bed was ok. Bathroom was nasty. Pink mold everywhere in shower. Someone’s old razor long black hairs all on the floor(don’t have black hair) the tile floors were almost black and when we layed towels down to step out of shower they were black with dirt. Mold on the ceilings of the bathroom. Pool and hot tub nicely heated but need refinishing. I wouldn’t stay here again. For reference we stay in Pismo all the time and cheaper more rundown hotels are cleaner a people way friendlier.

The room needs a deep clean. There are cob webs on the ceiling and on furniture, dead mosquitoes on ceiling of bathroom and worms were crawling on ceiling in room, bathroom and room door. It was uncomfortable to me finding these things. There was even a worm crawling on my bedsheet as I was checking out. There is no insulation so you can hear neighbors upstairs. Updated room was nice but didn't make up for all the things mentioned earlier.

I wanted to love this location. Like many of the reviews show, it's an amazing location with a great view, but the customer service felt lackluster after we had driven 5 hours to rest and we were placed right next to a loud ice machine and broken vending machine that did not have any water for us to purchase. The room itself looked like it had been sitting for a while given the musty smell, dust, and most concerning, the black mold that covered the door. We were quite frankly tired after driving otherwise we would have asked to swap rooms, but nonetheless, the black mold was a health hazard we should have brought up. We were next to the pool on the ground level, which might indicate why there was mold. The inn has a great location and rooms, but they really do need to put in more effort to actually deep clean these rooms once in a while.

The hotel is in a beautiful area. The restaurant is a nice addition and the grounds seem to be in good condition. My room was not the highlight of this stay. It was small, but at the most basic of what they offer so this wasn't really the issue. It was dirty. The floor was grimy and it eveb had a dead bug right in the middle of it. The shower was pretty nasty. It was slipery with soap scum, I could see the pink scum all around the tile making me wonder the last time it was cleaned. The previous guests shampoos were left in the shower which made me wonder if the room had been cleaned at all. There was no hand soap/soap for the bathroom sink and I was giveb a washcloth as the hand towel. This all puzzled me as I'd read this was the nicest hotel in the area. I guess I expected more

The property is nice. The bathroom floor tiles and grout were filthy. The bathroom had no ventilation besides a window, causing condensation on all surfaces including the ceiling as well as causing the room smelled musty.

Upon arrival, area around the property was nice and serene. Tree lined road along side of golf course. The room itself at first glance seemed to be nice. Updated features bedding, counters, end tables and shuttered windows and slider. The problem was cleanliness. Walls were dirty and full of dust and cobwebs, in need of fresh coat of paint. Bathroom was not very clean and dated. Shower was ultra small. Like taking a shower in an RV. Hairs on sink, floor and shower. Walls in bathroom had patch spots in a couple areas. Property was undergoing construction on a deck area right outside our back patio area, so there was privacy concerns there. Other than in need of a fresh coat of paint and competent house cleaning, our stay was ok.

Worst hotel experience EVER. The room was filthy. The toilet had crap in it, talk about disgusting! I also found an opened soap bar under the sink, 1/3 of a slice of pizza under a chair, cracker and rubber band by side of bed and the floor was dirty. And on the second day, housekeeping just barged into my room without knocking while my husband and I were in the room. Someone definitely needs to teach their housekeepers how to clean!! I will not stay at this place again!

Hotel room was infested by roaches. We brought this to the attention of the staff.They advised us to let Expedia know. I couldn’t sleep the whole night. There were roaches on the floor in the room and in the bathroom. I was nervous that they might crawl into my bed.i saved and the pictures and videos. Additionally the coffee machine was not working but the front desk manager was kind to give us hot water for tea.

Very clean room and cozy bed, close to the water and kind staff. Parking was easy. My only issue is it was pretty loud. We had to wait for the guests upstairs to go to bed before we could because the floors were so loud and creaky. I wouldn't recommend for light sleepers.

We paid for 2 nights balcony bay view & what they gave us was a obstructed view of bay overlooking parking lot😩 Carpet didn’t appear vacuumed & there was hair on towels in bathroom & on chair in room. Needless to say we will not be back! No included breakfast, no fire pits! Seriously why so expensive! Super disappointed since it was my husbands birthday!!!!!! Beware there are lots of steps as there is no elevator

I was there for a few days to get away from the city and enjoy a Bayview that I reserved and instead I received a parking lot view and was told if I stand up on my patio I'd see the Bay and they would not change my room because they were sold out... they also said next time book directly with the hotel I'd get better deals... Clean room, soft bed. Across from the state park so pretty quiet. Be mindful of what you want as far as a view; we booked with what we thought was a view but ended up with a 'partial view w/ balcony', which was pretty equivalent to no view as you looked at the bay beyond a parking lot and another set of buildings.

Be aware! Bay view room does NOT mean you view the bay. It means you view a parking lot, then another building the entire way along and you sort of see a bit of water and barrier island and the top 4’ of sailboat masts poking up. The property says that’s “partial bay view” but on Expedia it lists as “Bay” view which is IMO misleading. They blamed Expedia but admitted to me that they probably sent the description to them in the first place. It should say “parking lot and backside of building view toward the direction of the bay”.

The service at the restaurant was terrible. I waited 30 minutes for my order and still nothing came. The server that took my order was rude and made some rude comments that made me and the family next to me uncomfortable. It was a waste of time waiting for my breakfast order.

Heard everything from next door, no restrictions on noises control even after 12pm, people play loud music talk’s loud on their balcony. Suppose to be a quiet weekend to be out here…very disappointing. Front desk have to call multiple times to get an answer. Entrance of the hotel was tricky to find as well….May be find another place to stay instead next time

Initially my stay was fine. The toilet was cracked, the shower curtain rod was hanging by a thread onto the wall. There was no toilet paper in the room when I arrived. The restaurant was an absolute mess. Our server Dawn was extremely rude. She made me go to the bar to order a drink and as I asked for a sample she waved her hand snapping and said she didnt have time for me. Before getting any drinks I thought it suitable to leave. I hated how rude she was to my fiance so I went back in to tell her we were having fun, and she scowled and said "oh these people again". We were not rude in any way towards her, but she insisted we were a nuisance. I have 6 years restaurant experience and never would believe ANYONE would have the tenacity to be as rude to a customer as she was. The front desk staff was wonderful and accommadating however. They helped with what they could. Another issue was we paid for one night and wanted to stay an extra night. We were told there were no rooms available so we booked another hotel. When we arrived we were told there were 12 rooms available, including the one we were in. So after cancelling the other hotel and out $300 we reserved our room an extra night. Overall a bad experience with the restaurant staff being EXTREMELY rude and the front desk, although being nice, being unaware of availability costing me money.

When we arrived, we unloaded everything and I went to the restroom only to find there was no toilet paper anywhere in the room. We decided to eat at the restaurant there. We were seated immediately. The restaurant is pretty small and hostess sat us across from the bar. Someone, who appeared to be an employee off duty, was visiting VERY loudly (drunk)with a friend at the bar. So loudly I had to raise my voice to an uncomfortable level for my husband to hear me. We were told Dawn will be right with us. In the meantime, we watched the bartender, the off duty employee, and her friend visit, FaceTime someone, take pictures and basically goof off. We kept watch for our waitress and watched the bartender run a few drinks and visit with her friends. After at least 15 minutes with no one taking a drink order, food order, or acknowledging us, we decided to leave. As we are walking out, the bartender runs to the counter and says, oh I was just coming to your table. If I'd known that she was the one who was supposed to wait on us, I would have left sooner. She could have asked us from the bar if we would like a drink. It seems they have changed owners since we stayed there before. The bed was comfy but the room was very small. I don't know if it's because we got a pet room, but the floor was filthy. I had to clean my feet before going to bed and use hand towels to mop over the floor. We won't be back.

The staff was friendly and very receptive to our changes and issues with the room. We needed to change rooms twice. The hotel needs updating but worked for our purposes for just overnight! The happy hour was good and super convenient since we didn’t have time to go somewhere else for dinner.

The hotel is right on the waterfront with wonderful views. The lobby was very welcoming. Had a sitting area with a fireplace. There’s a bar with a friendly bar tender name Tract! The restaurant served good food; fresh and tasty! Golf course right next door too!

The hotel is not in downtown Morro Bay and not really walking distance to it. But there is a lovely park, beach and harbor nearby so I didn't mind. The facilities are a little bare bones and run down and my room had a funny smell. Also, the "ocean view" was over a parking lot and another building lol. But the breakfast/dining room looks out on the water, the staff was super friendly and overall it was fine.

The location of this property is the best in Morro Bay in terms of beauty and the surroundings. I like it cause it’s a bit away from the main town but also very near. It’s less than a 5 minute drive so it’s easy to get to. It’s right at the water with a beautiful view to wake up to. Quaint location with a lot of natural beauty around. Staff is excellent! There’s a golf course right behind the property where there’s a small cafe. There’s also Bayside cafe very close to the inn in case you want a change and don’t want to dine at the restaurant there.

The views from the restaurant were beautiful. The room was clean but no heating or central air unless you count the fireplace. It didn't bother us but we were surprised. The outside property was pretty but the steps were under construction at our building. A little far out of town for walking.

The room was ok, the beds were clean. There was a millipede on the ceiling that we caught and put outside. Apparently there's been some in this room before because there was smashed millipede swirls on the wall. The following morning there was another one on the ceiling. Restaurant has nice veiw, however the actual dining space felt really outdated. Only one server was working on this morning, took forever to get our order, and when our food did come out, it was wrong.

I would definitely stay again, just not eat in the restaurant. We did lunch on the Embarcadero and charcuterie in the room for dinner the second night. Room comfort from bed to fireplace & bathroom were great. The restaurant needs work. The bartender was tending and serving food and tabs and was a little overwhelmed. Food taste was bland, luke warm upon arrival and just not good. The hot tub was nice but looked like it hadn't had the tiles scrubbed in some time.

Beds and pillows in our room were not comfortable, so bring your own pillow! Our view was nice, room was okay but carpeted flooring felt dirty. Cleanliness was average. Restaurant only had one person working in the morning for breakfast on Saturday so we decided to go somewhere else. Bartender in the evening was fun, food average.
