We stayed at Hotel Avisa AFTER Labor Day and so there were no crowds…. We had the best room on the 3rd floor with the balcony and ocean view. The ladies at the front desk were very supportive. The covered parking garage was safe.

My family and I enjoyed our stay at Hotel Avisa. I’d just like to advise, this property’s parking garage is smaller than most. We stayed on a Saturday night and had no problem finding parking but it’s definitely something to keep in mind.

Booked this hotel and was more than surprised by how cute and modern it was! Our room was HUGE!!! It even had a balcony, assuming some face the ocean but ours didn't which wasn't that big of a deal. The staff was so nice and attentive - parking was smooth and safe! Overall would stay here again :)

The Hotel Avisa has a great location; just a one block walk to the embarcadero. Our room was clean and the staff were helpful, pleasant, and courteous. The lobby was very nice; appears to be newly decorated. Housekeeping staff were visible cleaning and mopping every day. They are installing a new fitness room, which will undoubtedly be terrific. Our only issue was with noises from the room above ours. Footsteps and other sounds were rather unmuffled. We were awakened twice during our stay. Perhaps thicker carpeting would be helpful. All things considered, we loved this hotel and would absolutely stay here again.

The Bed The Bed The Bed! Completely uncomfortable. No room cleaning and no extra pillows available. The staff was just ok. They have no water available in the lobby. The hotel is a little run down and the elevator felt like it needs service. It bounced every time you step into it. The bathroom and shower was not clean. We had a great time for my wife’s 55th birthday but I wouldn’t stay here again. Our room had a balcony with a beautiful view of the rock and sunset but that is about it. Parking was good. Walking distance to the strip. And once again the Bed was horrible. We almost left a day early because of the bed but I pre-paid for 3 nights so we roughed it.

Property ran down. Extremely dirty: hair in bed and shower. Layer of dust by exhaust vent in bathroom. Severe black mold on windows. Rude staff. After seeing the room, decided not to stay. Expedia’s rating was “very good”, should be minus terrible. Took more than an hour to get refund from Expedia.

We are so disappointed for the room that we got (ocean view). The bathroom was not really clean. The bathroom shower is so weak and no pressure. The telephone is not working. The TV remote is not working. Most of all, the front desk people are not friendly and accommodating at all. I shouldn’t have a second thought to just stay at Best Western.

The beds are so high that even I (5’9) couldn’t just “sit-down” on it I had to jump up. The purpose of this trip was to bring my mother-in-law who is 77 years old on a nice beach trip and she is 4 foot 11. I had to literally go to the other side of the bed and pull her up by her arms, they need to get rid of the big box under the bed. It is ridiculous to have that in a hotel room. If she had to get up in the middle of the night, she had to wake me up to help her!!! That is horrible. I will never stay here again.

Great location! Nice view of Morro Rock from our room. The room is clean and modern. The only thing I found lacking was the coffee service in the lobby. The creamer pump was broken and they didn't have a replacement.

Close to everything! 2 minute walk to restaurants/shops. Quiet. Great view of the harbor and Morro Rock (have to reserve a room with an ocean view). 20 minute drive to downtown SLO/30 minute drive to Pismo/Avila Beach.

Hotel Avisa is located with-in easy walking distance of the embarcadero, where there are great shops and restaurants. Check-in was quick and the young man was friendly. The room was super clean. The water pressure was wonderful and the water gets hot fast! The biggest complaint is that you can hear the people upstairs walking around, even with the fan of the air conditioner going. The partial ocean view was indeed partial. If we stay there again I would upgrade to the king bed with a balcony you can sit out on that is on the third floor.

Location, cleanliness, and staff are excellent. The heating system was an older style and was loud. So if you are a light sleeper, that might be an issue to you. I just turned the system off during the night so I could sleep. Didn’t take long to heat the room in the morning. Nice view from our room. Very quiet in the hotel but we stayed there on a Wednesday and Thursday during off season. Nice couples get away for relaxing and visiting friends and family.

Don’t come here if you have a service animal. If your service animal barks for whatever reason they will kick you out, apparently. Usually we get the same questions, but never offered a refund once we disclosed we had a service animal. app said no pets allowed but service animals ok. So i booked the room had to go through a big ordeal to get a refund and ruined what was supposed to be a day getaway. So disappointed in Daniel.

Highly recommend this hotel. I arrived a bit early, but stood in the lobby 15-20 minutes before anyone arrived to take care of me. They said I was early & that they would call me when my room was ready. Never received a call.

Great find in Morro Bay. Super walkable to all the shops and restaurants along the Embarcadero. About a mile from the Rock if you're up for a jaunt. Staff was extremely friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. Ice machine nearby is always a plus. Very quiet. Parking in the garage is free.

Was rushed to check in before nine so the attendant could go home. This hotel apparently doesn't keep staff on site at night... upon arrival we noticed the TV didnt work. That was just the begining of the issues. The sink was clogged and the soap dispensers were empty. My girlfriend and I decided to call it a night early since we both had no intention of calling the manager after hours, since they are not on site. Well, that was a mistake... we woke up only to find out the room had no hot water! My girlfriend decodednto contact the manager who told her it was her day off but she would come help us with another room. Upon arrival, she aknowledged she already knew the room had issues which is emberrasing and unproffensional. We were not only rushed to check in, but we were put in a room that was busted and the staff knew it.

Great stay - they are just finishing a renovation (it use to be a Comfort Inn). In a good location to walk to all the stores located on the water. This was a get-away for us and we really enjoyed ourselves.

No breakfast options. No microwave in the room. They just had one microwave in a common area which very inconvenient.The room said King bed and could sleep 3 but it was little uncomfortable for 3 people. However, the balcony was good and the ocean view even from a partial view room was great.

First of all the heating system was just too loud and blew air loud, didn't get warm enough My wife was in the shower and noticed the shampoo ran out from the dispenser. I called the front desk and he brought it up quickly. King size bed was just too firm, woke up few times due to sore back No complimentary breakfast at all!

Terrific location w/ friendly staff. Clean and spacious rooms w/ nice views. Covered parking with direct access to the check in area and stairs/elevator is a real plus. Quick walk to wharf area and scenic walks. Breakfast isn't included, but there are many nice options nearby. Can't wait to return.
