Clean property and well maintained, staff was friendly and parking was easy and plentiful. Owners paid attention to details in the rooms and the property as a whole, which made us feel very comfortable. One thing I really liked was that in the parking area they had a mounted window wiper to clean your windows before hitting the road. Nice touch.

Newly remodeled motel on quieter end of the embarcadero. Easy walk to anything in town. Covered parking a bonus!

Really great place to stay. Newly renovated so very clean and quiet. Enjoyed the spa. Very walkable location. Covered parking and they even had little stations to clean your vehicle’s windshields! We had a wonderful stay! Dog friendly too!

I needed an elevator for husband and dog but it went out the second day and was not fixed when we left. One of the staff saw me struggling with all our bags and dog cage and carried them down stairs for me

The spa was disappointing as it was cold so my husband and I were not able to enjoy it, which is why we picked this particular place. The room was nice and clean. Fire place was nice and the view was great.

The hotel was easy to find, clean and comfortable. The room was spacious enoigh for 3 of us on a girls birthday trip. The spa was clean, however the hours were inconvenient (3-9) as we would have wanted to use it more.

Never offered my $25 resort credit which would be useless considering no amenties offered at the hotel. The hot tub was nice. Rooms so so not what is shown in marketing.

I love taking my elderly mom to Morro Bay. This place is perfect for her with an elevator and almost everything in walking distance. The parking is convenient and there is always a spot to park.

- We heard every move of neighbours above us. In fact I was able to hear them talking to each other. Thanks god it was most likely an old couple. I wound what it would be otherwise - Bathtub was dirty with hairs. We opened water and it got foamy. - WiFi speed was 1Mbps. Something like we had about 25 years ago while using dialup. I can keep going.... Unfortunately I was fooled by good reviews. But I never had such a bad experience even while staying in a cheap Motel 6. They basically took a cheapest motel, painted it and started charging $200 for a room. Such a waste of time and money :((

Property location is good. Owner should update and clean rooms. Bedding is old and stained. We did not sleep on bedding. Pillows stained and should be replaced. Owners staff are very kind but not treated well. We are from the Morro Bay area and will not stay here again.

Went to room and bed sheets were not clean. I didn’t make a big deal but called and asked if they could come change the sheets. Left the room and got a call 10 min later telling us that the sheets were not dirty that they were just wrinkled. I explained that it wasn’t the wrinkles it was the hair still in the bed and the lady told me she didn’t see hair. We asked if she could still have the sheets changed, she hung up on us. We walked by the room and there was a maid there so we walked around and came back. The maid was gone but our room was left wide open. The

Great staff. Propwerty is a little dated but comfy. Some road noise. Get a room on the top 3rd floor--otherwise you can hear the tenant above walk around, open and close doors, patio door etc. 3rd floor probably has better ocean view.

Great location, nice room. Great view of harbor from balcony. Only issue was that the water pressure in shower was really low and the light/fan in the bathroom was really load. They were doing construction on other rooms so I’m guessing they are upgrading? I would definitely stay here again.

This is a gem in Morro Bay. We have stayed more than once and loved the corner suite. We have stayed on both the second and third floors and found them both to be quiet, clean, and have wonderful views. The only cons are poor water pressure in the shower/tub combo and weak Wi-Fi. Overall, the easy parking, convenient location, and how quiet and clean this hotel is make it a must for anyone visiting Morro Bay.

Why not a perfect score as I would have liked to? 1. I specifically asked in person about the TV in the rooms when inquiring about booking our stay there for the next two nights. Gentleman answered my question, barely (he barely spoke - not best job for him if not going to be communicative) but didn't say a word about more than half the channels on the TVs were audio, not pictured due to lack of service issue especially when I said that my daughter needs to be able to see the TV. We ended up staying (under false pretenses) and later that evening I asked the same gentleman why most channels were audio not pictured. It would have been nice to know upfront when I asked about the tvs as my special needs daughter was recovering from surgery and we decided to cheer her up with a getaway for a few days to MB. She loves staying in hotels and enjoys tv time as well. I expected her to have quite a bit of tv time during our two night stay and ended up spending more time in room due to fog and cold that she is sensitive to. Very difficult to watch tv with no programs she enjoys as all her channels she liked were not working due to service issue. Luckily I had my laptop with me for her to watch programs on but not the same as tv. 2. Even with the sliding door open and fan going the room was still hot and stuffy most of the night which made for not the greatest sleep. Excellent location and most staff friendly which is always a plus and makes us want to return but we shall see. .

The pillows were too big not comfortable. The bed was comfortable.

We were in 215, a lovely and spacious one bedroom suite with a large deck facing the Pacific with a view of Morro Rock and a cozy fireplace. Highly recommend 456 Hotel.

Cute place right across from the sea. Our suite had a view of the famous rock so that was cool. We were greeted by a friendly staff member and checked in with ease. The room was very spacious and clean. We were happy with our stay. Also many shops and restaurants within walking distance.

Great stay. Nice property, although dated. That said they are undergoing renovation. Additionally, lot of small touches that were really thoughtful. Bed was super comfortable.

I have stayed at 456 many times and this is the first time I have ever had such a tiny room with one small window. Definitely had better in the past.

It was for a family Christmas visit. Great room and great stay. The manager, Morgan, was so helpful.

We have stayed here many times and although basic, the hotel was clean, conveniently located and had a polite and helpful staff. Our stay last week was a nightmare from the minute we stepped in to check in. I was hoping to see the nice lady behind the desk, who was there during our last stay 4 months ago. Instead, as I walked into the door, a very rude and condescending man looked back and forth at the clock on the wall behind him and back at me THREE times before I got to the desk! We had arrived an hour before check in, in the middle of the week. We had done this many times and there was no problem, but his demeanor and attitude were very rude and unwelcoming. We waited and got our room. It was the worst we’ve ever had there. You couldn’t even close the bathroom door unless you lifted the toilet seat up! This was even more annoying on those late night trips to the restroom! The absolute worst part of this visit occurred shortly after we arrived as we relaxed in the room. Someone opened the door to our room! We ran out to see who it was and heard a door slam, but saw no one! We were left to wonder if this was an accident or someone looking to steal from us, thinking we were out. At that point we wanted to leave the hotel because the person at the desk did nothing. We felt unsafe. What if they returned in the middle of the night? We were tired and knew we would have a problem with the rude desk attendant if we asked for a refund, so we barricaded the door. Won’t return

Arrived early but happy to park up and look around local area. We returned at 3pm. 1 hour earlier than check in. Told they would put rush on room. Returned at 3.30pm. Not ready. Returned at 4pm. Sent to room to find not cleaned and bed not made. Returned finally at 4.30pm to our room. We were told they "would look after us" nothing received. Spoilt our one night stay. Room good size and location on end of Morro bay strip was good however our room located near the spa so a little noisy until after 9pm. Better customer service would be good.

The place and Staff were outstanding... We had an issue with our TV and within a couple of hours, they put up a brand new one! Gave us extra towels when needed, or anything at that. Their maintenance guy "Oscar" was SUPER helpful and friendly! The view was INCREDIBLE! Room was nice and cozy! Fireplace a MAJOR PLUS! EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING! THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU!!

We’ve stayed at this property a few times. A great location and very convenient for a stopover stay. Rooms are clean and spacious. Registration staff was nice and courteous. We were even upgraded as a returning guest.

I believe the host should go out of their way to communicate uncommon business practices when offering room and board. It is uncommon for hotels to close check in at 9pm. There is fine print on hotels.com about this uncommon business practice. I booked this hotel for a romantic getaway with my wife. I drove 4 hours to get there, hence why I could not make it before 9pm. I took my wife out to dinner and planned on driving there after. I received a message from hotels.com asking about my check-in, but I hadn’t checked in. Called the hotel but did not get an answer. Everything was booked locally I had to drive to a motel 6 close by to have a place to sleep. For $400 a night I’d expect more communication. Unacceptable.

456 Embarcadero Inn is the Best Hotel to stay while vacationing in Morro Bay. View of the water front is amazing from the balcony. Quiet rooms with comfy beds. Direct walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. Morgan at the hotel is the best with customer service. Always has a smile and checks up on your stay making sure that all hotel amenities are met during your stay.

The staff are wonderful. A huge shout out to Suzanne for making our vacation extra special. Thank you for your hospitality!

The location was perfect. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. The property is at the end of the road so you get a good view of the harbor without the noise. We spend most of our time sitting on the balcony watching the sail boats.

I loved the view and location. I will stay here every time I return to the area. It was on the main tourist area but was clean and well maintained, it was very quiet to be so close to a tourist area.

The location was amazing, right on the bay front yet away from the daily crowd. The staff is what makes this hotel so great. They are nice and courteous. There when you need them, and not when you don’t! Equally important! We were only here one night, but will return for a longer stay next time. A true gem.

Excellent location. Lots of great restaurants within easy walking distance. Some breakfast options - even just packets of oatmeal or packaged muffins - would improve value for money, but overall I thought the room rate was reasonable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would book here again.

Perfect location for pet owners, there is a park next door and walk along the shops, businesses and restaurants the other direction. Many restaurants have outdoor patios, so easy to take your pet most places. Most rooms have a balcony overlooking the ocean and views of Morro Rock. This was my second visit because I enjoyed it so much a few months prior.

On my staying on this hotel it was nice. But the breakfast it was poor only small bred with coffee that is not continental breakfast I suppose to have a credit. So far I haven’t see it.

I really like the hotel., The beds are super comfortable and rooms are large enough. The advertised continental breakfast however is nothing more than a granola or a pastry. For sure you'll have to get breakfast elsewhere. It was a quiet comfortable place with some views.

This hotel got very expensive and didn't offer anything special. The breakfast offered was nothing, the shower ran hot and cold. The front desk wasn't very responsive.
