One of my favorite hotels, due to the location, beautiful gardens and very dog friendly. But is it showing its wear.. I know hotels suffered a great deal in CA due to the horrible policies during COVID.. Hoping they will get caught up with a bit room renovations.. new carpet would be a good start. The hotel is always clean and the staff is wonderful.

The staff was outstanding from the valet to check-in as well as bar/coffee bar staff. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and good at their jobs. The room had great space with a comfortable bed. We enjoy a jazz concert at the amphitheater. The venue was perfect for an outdoor concert.

The rooms are dated and need to be renovated. It's a great location to stay after the jazz series concert.

The room was *okay* for the price. The room was very far from the main area and then when seeking breakfast, was told that breakfast wasn't included but it was pre-paid in the fee (cost over $50) and after that was sorted out, it took some doing to get it to go and had to return (from the very far room) to get utensils (room has no utensils). If people want to visit you at the hotel, it costs $12/hour to park. The resort fee is pricey. I didn't realize how much until after booking. The one good thing was the close proximity to the cemetery where a family funeral was being held. Not sure I'd book this hotel again.
