Solarena draws consistent praise for its walk-to-the-beach location and generally comfortable, simple rooms, but reviews frequently cite street noise from PCH, tight paid parking, and housekeeping that ranges from spotless to poorly cleaned.

A lot better compare to June stay. Building was well maintained. Room was cleaner Staff was great. Still dust on the headboards and on the lamps. But bedding is terrible. Sheets are so old it’s like sleeping on the sand. Comforter has no cover. They just used 2 flat small sheets one under and one on top. It didn’t even cover comforter. We had to sleep with our cloth in order not to touch the comforter that’s being used by so many people.

Enjoyed our stay but the parking was $30. a day and I didn't realize it was that much. A few years ago it was $15. a day. I need to pay attention next time bc neighborhood parking is free. It's a No-Frills basic hotel room but it was fine for a couple days. Love the location.

Wi-Fi didn’t work. They sent the code to the staff Wi-Fi which didn’t work either. I know it is close to the beach but there was so much sand on the floor it didn’t seem like it was attempted to be vacuumed up. Sheets were either dirty or stained so a new set was put on and same thing. Really hoping they were just stained. Either way it’s gross to have blood marks on white sheets. Will not be staying here again.

Bed was good, and the room was cool. Parking was tough, but there was an overflow lot, staff was nice. Coffee maker in room didn’t work and the shampoo and conditioner in shower didn’t work. It was fine because we just needed a place to sleep after a family wedding and the price was decent

We had a very disappointing stay. We were initially given an access code late at night, and we unlocked the door and walked right in on another guest, creating a massive security and privacy issue. Once reassigned, the second-floor hallway smelled strongly of vomit. The room itself was hot and humid, and the AC never fixed the dampness during our stay. On top of that, the cleanliness was poor, and the bathroom looked like it was under construction and covered in stains. To top it off, when we asked the front desk for a "Do Not Disturb" sign on our second morning, the receptionist slammed it down on the counter in front of us instead of placing it on the door. I rarely leave negative reviews, but the lack of basic cleanliness, safety, and customer service forced me to speak up so others can avoid this experience.
