The picture shown on Expedia shows the property on the beach and that is not so at all. We spilled water on the hardwood floor and wiped it up with a washcloth that was white but filthy after. There were dead bugs in the lights inside and the balcony was dirty, especially the air conditioner.

I appreciate a clean place that makes me feel safe and comfortable… my friend and I were very pleased with how clean the bed, floor and everything else felt. Even the elevator smelled clean. I slept great without any worries and my friend also enjoyed her stay. I would definitely consider staying with them in the future when I return to San Clemente.

Hidden gem! Incredibly friendly staff who genuinely seem to love this place. Room was spacious, clean, comfortable bed, with amenities like safe, fridge, and microwave, even iron and board. Bathroom had a lovely walk-in shower. The single thing we noticed was that the walls were thin. Other than that, definitely recommend!

We checked in staff, very nice, when we got to our bed we found what could be bloodstains on the sheets, we striped the bed to sleep. Staff is nice, does not feel clean.

For to amount I paid I was so dissatisfied. Our room was very old and un updated also right by a busy highway. Uncomfortable beds, loud window unit air conditioner. Ocean was not visible or accessible from our room. There was a florescent light on the porch that stayed on all night without an off switch. Someone was smoking in the adjacent room. Would not recommend.

The front desk staff were extremely available, friendly, and helpful. Good place for the price and proximity to the beach. 6 min drive to San Clemente pier, 15 min walk to the water-front state park! Is definitely dated, but was clean with good air conditioning

I loved how close it was to the beach and several things I wanted to do for my beach vacation! It was nice for walking around, walking to the beach and having access to food. But I was disappointed in my room. I thought I was paying for a room that had a bathtub since there wasn’t a community hot tub and I have chronic back issues. I was given an ADA accessible room with a sitdown shower. Having a balcony was nice but it was a view of a golf course and not the ocean. I feel like I paid too much money for an average experience. The staff were very nice and accommodating when my room key stopped working. The beds are extremely firm, which I think contributed to my increase in back pain. If you prefer soft beds and fluffy pillows be warned. It was very clean, but again, average experience in my hotel stay history.

CONS: Jacuzzi Jets did not work. Drain did not work. Wi-Fi did not work. It is highway noisy, but that does not bother me. PROS: Furniture & decor was nice. TV has lots of channels Room was clean. Balcony is big plus & you can see the ocean from afar. Conveniently located off the highway.

Staff was great, but facility needed better electrical. We had problems plugging in a CPAP machine and charging phones. Wall mounted lights were a piece of crap with 120VAC sockets and USB outlets that made intermittent contact with plugs. Obviously not UL rated. I plugged in phone thinking it would charge, but cord did not make contact.

The staff was wonderful The property was very clean My advice if you have wish to stay is to request the room with the golf course view as the room side with the ocean view sits next to the freeway and the traffic noise is loud

Hotel is old but the room itself was clean and had what we needed and expected from a basic hotel. The hotel Is located right next to the freeway which was pretty loud but on the upside there was an ocean view from our balcony. Check in was easy and the attendant was very kind and suggested good restaurants and fun things to do.

Pretty decent location by the freeway close to everything. Check in and check out was easy staff was very nice and welcoming. Even cleaning staff was nice when I asked for extra shower towels. Will definetly stay when in the area again.

It’s always nice to be near the beach when you’re on vacation. We were in San Clemente for a wedding and staying at the travel lodge put us within walking distance of the wedding venue. Our hotel was older but very clean and comfortable.

It was a great place to stay. Freeway noise but nothing an a/c fan can’t cover. The check in lady was super helpful and courteous. My room was amazing. Beautiful with great amenities. If you take the top floor, you get an ocean view. Make sure you see the sunset. Everything is walking distance and the beach and outlets are less than 10 minutes away.

Clean, reasonably priced hotel. Very close to main San Clemente. A convenience store 1 block away and an Irish pub 3 blocks. We enjoyed this place during a music festival at Doheny Beach.

I like the location and convenience to get around easily. Enjoyed sitting out on the balcony at all times of the day and night. Only downfall was the night road construction. The front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming.
