Cute place, good location. Parking is a bit tight if you have a larger vehicle or truck. Breakfast is ok, pool area is nice-need better pool towels. Housekeeping is optional. We had a Supreme room which was nice for the extra space.

The room was good - clean but we did not get a renovated room, so it was in need of that. The carpet was damp from an issue with the refrigerator, but they came to check on that without us even asking, which was nice. The breakfast was great with tables outside by the fountain. Pool and hot tub were very nice too. We loved that the free city trolly stopped right outside - so easy to get to the beach and shopping. Also loved the water cooler in the lobby for refilling bottles. Once the renovate the rest of the rooms, this will be a 5-star review for sure.

The Hotel was easy to find and parking was easy on site. We did not get a good idea about the amenities when we got there. The staff did not explain anything to us and we ended up having no room service because we were not aware that you have to ask for it. It is on the paper wrapper of the room card but who really reads that? We were sad about that but aside from that we liked the pool a lot and used it together with the spa daily. We also enjoyed the gym which is a little to small and missing floor space, mats, towels and some weights. But it did the trick for us nonetheless. The breakfast was ok but the room was very small and dark. The hotel is in a great spot. We could walk to the North Beach and some cafes and ended up even walking to the pier along the beach which was lovely. The trolley is great, it can bring you directly to the pier, the shopping area and to the hotel, and it's free.

The room was clean and spacious. We stayed there for 5 days and had to ask for clean towels and toiletries. No maid service. Complimentary breakfast was available every morning and it was good. It has a nice heated swimming pool and jacuzzi outside although we didn’t use it. Free parking. Friendly staff. I would stay there again and recommend it.

Typical 3-star hotel, the room was clean, facility clean but the pool and spa were cloudy indicating not enough chlorine and poor maintenance. In the room jacuzzi tub was nice, balcony views the courtyard (no rooms have ocean views). Parking spaces were tight, but there were ample spaces and there's also an overflow lot next door. Need to drive to local dining spots.

My son and I took a trip to San Clemente and stood for 3 nights, 4 days. We absolutely LOVED the convenience of this beautiful Inn! It is walking distance to the beach, and close enough to walk around the pools as well. We enjoyed their complimentary breakfast in the morning! And pool area was very clean, they cleaned up every morning. Family friendly, it was nice to see multiple families there.

Stayed in room 317 king bed which has a balcony with 2 chairs and a table. The room is good size and has a medium size refrigerator ( not a small mini one!), microwave. This room even has a deep bath tub / shower WITH JETS! Downside... it needs A 2ND SAFETY BAR HANDLE! Almost hurt myself getting in & out! Free continental breakfast! Good size pool but jacuzzi is small. One last thing...Parking is Free BUT, VERY TIGHT SPACES!

Ants in the room including the bed. Same for an alternate room. Although no fire, the fire alarm went off which shut down the elevators. We are handicapped and on the second floor. Had to call the paramedics to help us down the stairs. Limited staff, generally filthy. They stated they would credit our card. So far no credit to the card.

Service was poor. No manager on duty on weekends. Fresh blood on the sheets. Just wanted a quick getaway to relax on the beach and to grab dinner on a Saturday night. Arrived at 4pm for check-in time. There was a line of 6 people in front of me and only one person working the desk. When it was my turn, my room won’t be available until 5. I was told I could wait by the pool. At 5pm, there were 3 people working the desk and was told housekeeping needed another 20 minutes. Apparently housekeepers didn’t show up and the ones there had cleaned the wrong rooms. Finally at 5:40pm (an hour and 40 minutes after check-in), our room was ready. We missed our dinner reservations and didn’t get to relax on the beach. While the front desk worker gave me a discount, we didn’t get to enjoy the evening as expected. We pivoted to make the most of it. When it was time for bed, I noticed there were drops of blood on the sheets; not old blood that had been through the laundry, but bright red dried blood. I wasn’t bleeding anywhere so it had to be staff who folded the sheets or put the bed together. It was the worst hotel experience I’ve had. We wanted a do not disturb sign, which some doors had, but no one was at the front desk (we waited 5 minutes and gave up) around 9:30 am. The day before they said they were going to leave a note for the manager to help, but upon checkout front desk said it’s a small boutique hotel that was trying their best and there was no manager again today.

Nice place but it is dirty. My sheets were stained and looked as if they had not changed them. I requested another clean set but they were stained as well. Not a good policy to have dirty and stained old sheets. The carpet is very dirty as well.

DO NOT waste your money!! Check in went smoothly, disappointed in our room. Rusty shower, not cleaned well. Dirty light switches. Stains on bed comforter and sheets. TV broken. We were told they would come to fix it the following day but we were only staying the night. Stayed at the hotel with several other families and we ALL had fraudulent charges on our CC the following morning. BEWARE

This hotel is that a great location! The people that work there are super friendly :-) it’s unfortunate how rundown the carpeting is and how poorly cleaned the outside area is. There was mud and food on the elevator from when we arrived until when we left that haven’t gotten cleaned up. Casablanca has great potential… Just needs an upgrade IMHO!

Always enjoy are stay .Check in is great even when we arrive early .If a room is available early they check us in .Rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is good staff is great .

The room was really big. We had two queen beds, a very nice large bathroom, refrigerator, TV, lock box and a fantastic balcony. The people at the front desk were more than accommodating and the trolley picks you up (right in front of the hotel ) and will take you down to town or the beach for free! It was a great experience. It’s the second time where you’ve gone there…it’s affordable and very comfortable.

We had a great stay at the Casablanca Inn. Very nice staff, easy parking, clean and nicely renovated. The only reason for a 4-star rating was how loud it was on the first floor. Lots of stomping doors slamming, early. We stayed Sunday night to Monday AM and the noise began around 6:30/7am and was distracting to sleep. Suggest a room on higher floors.

The room was newly renovated. We loved the design, is was so cute and trendy. The king bed was sooooo soft and comfortable. Slept like a dream. Breakfast was delicious and the breakfast staff were very friendly. We stayed when there was a huge discount off the original price. Happy to be able to experience this hotel that would have otherwise been out of our price range.

It’s a cute motel with a good location but I’ve never stayed somewhere with such thin walls. No exaggeration, I could hear our neighbors fart. A/C unit didn’t work well. Otherwise clean and comfortable.

I stayed in an old room and it was very old not updated since feels like the 80s. Went to the management and asked for an upgrade to the deluxe rooms which they did for me. Now those rooms are well worth the extra money. Staff were very kind and helpful. They explained they have the old rooms to provide a cheaper alternate which makes since. Can’t hold that against them. Just know the old rooms are a 3 and the deluxe rooms are a 5 in my opinion.

We loved the newly renovated suites. Everything was super comfortable, the location was great, the room was quiet and clean with lots of space, and the front desk lady was wonderfully welcoming. Great overall experience.

The room definitely needed updating. There was rust and holes in the bathroom and closet. Our friend also stayed at the hotel but got an “updated” room. Her room was beautiful and we basically paid the same amount for a room that was not nice at all

Nicely renovated hotel. Clean, safe and good beds and bedding. Only complaint is very thin walls. Between. The people above us and the couple next to us fighting, it was a lot. Would have been better if the tv worked but it could not connect to the network. Dog friendly 🙂

TLDR - noisiest hotel ever; beautifully updated rooms; older-looking facilities outside of the room; pool and hot tub closed for a few days; super sweet front desk staff. This is the noisiest hotel I have ever stayed in. While the rooms have been beautifully redecorated and are very clean, it truly feels like the walls are paper thin in a way I've never experienced. I saw the other comments about this and wrote them off because most hotels are a bit noisy in my experience, but this was next level. I could fully hear conversations from groups who were 2-3 doors down and in their rooms. I heard every single movement happening in the hallway outside of my door. The noise on the street sounded like it was in my room (motorcycles practicing up and down the street, random people on the street perched under the window talking loudly, etc). I wanted to love this hotel as the room was very beautiful and the front desk staff was so sweet, but there was no way to relax and/or sleep in a room so loud.

The room we stayed in was on the first floor. Images online does not reflect what the rooms truly look like. Essentially a motel from the early 90s. Missing items like a hairdryer and tvs that don’t work. Staff was kind but not attentive. We informed them of the missing hairdryer but they never came by to replace it or check the tv. Also the room was facing the parking garage and lights of guests vehicles arriving in and out of the parking lot was a bit annoying. Parking is tricky, free but the size of a compact car can only fit. Good luck squeezing in. Excess parking is behind the building but they make it known that damage and theft is not their responsibility if parked in thier structures. I was duped into the photos listed on their site, complete bait and switch situation. Vacationers beware.

Amazing stay. Everyone was so helpful and friendly, especially Kraig the GM and Erin at the front desk. The jacuzzi tub and king size bed were a great way to refresh after a rough trip. Restaurants nearby have a great selection. The breakfast that’s included has excellent choices and friendly service.

The young lady checking us in had absolutely no customer service skills. She was so mean and curt the multiple times we interacted with her. The remote in the bedroom was sticky beyond being a remote in a humid beach towel. Our bath tub had the incorrect plug so we couldn’t plug the tub to give our son a bath. The bath towels are the size of a toddler towel. We paid extra for a balcony that seemingly looked great on the website and looked directly into the side of the building with nothing else. The entire hotel (staircases, elevator, main walk ways) were all filthy. Covered with cob webs and garbage or the flooring pulling up that no one has bothered to sweep up. The pictures, even of the old rooms, are very deceiving. Definitely would not stay again here for what we ended up paying for 2 nights.

We paid extra for two balcony rooms and didn’t get either one. I have contacted the hotel several times to try and get a refund for the extra price and either the phone is busy or goes to their answering service and I never get a phone call back. So I would not recommend them. Mold in the bathrooms, toilets that back up and you have to plunge them and fix them yourself, no room clean up or towel refresh (you can go pick towels at the front desk if you need them), piping in the bathroom that would wake the dead it’s so loud, limited parking, and doors that slam closed in a dangerous manner. I really hope that management read this because something should change at this place. And I think hotels.com should not allow them on their site. They don’t follow through on the rooms that you book and they dodge your calls constantly. Take your money elsewhere, it’s worth it.

The office personnel Erin and Zeyre were welcoming, courteous, professional, helpful, and efficient. They both went beyond the necessary to assist us. When we checked out, another gentleman was also very professional, courteous, and efficient. Having stayed several nights in San Clemente over the years, we will definitely return to the Casablanca Inn.

I love that Casablanca Inn is privately owned and operated. The gal at the front desk was very helpful suggesting a number of places for dinner within walking distance. Enjoyed a burger and sandwich at the nearby brewery. Our room was clean and spacious. Free breakfast this morning was great- saved us time from having to go someplace else for breakfast. Would stay here again!

Easy check in, comfortable bed, great balcony, fantastic location. Excellent value. Some things were a little visibly worn, but the positives outweighed any negatives. Free parking is a huge bonus as well. Would definitely stay here again.

We were in San Clemente for a wedding that was just across the street from Casablanca Inn, so we booked this hotel for convenience but we were super happy with our stay. Our room was clean and quiet (except the window unit ac going on and off all night but we just kept the fan option on the second night to reduce that noise). The continental breakfast was great. There is a good coffee shop a short walk away that we enjoyed both mornings. The parking is a bit tight but we never had an issue finding a spot. Location is great, short 4 minute drive to downtown/beach area and close to the outlets. We’d happily stay here again if in the area

Stay was good. Front desk did not provide any information about breakfast at check-in. Breakfast attendant was amazing, she was fast and efficient. Breakfast variety was nice and there was a cute patio to enjoy breakfast. I called to ask housekeeping to make up room while we were gone for a few hours but they never came. Room was nice and spacious but sheets had a stain on them. When I called to ask for extra towel the attendant was very fast and friendly. Location of hotel was great, nice walk to the beach.

We stayed a couple nights. Very clean. Property is tired and could use some cosmetic upgrades. Breakfast was good, limited but no self serv except for coffee and finger food(bananas muffins, etc. One server to make waffles, prepared breakfast sandwiches and any things that required cooking. We chose this place based online and the price. Price was on the lower end of surrounding hotels. Based on the price, a good value for the money but a bit out of the local hot spots.

Very good breakfast with lots of options, cooked and served for you. Good location, large room, and free parking. The only thing weird was the large number of people who appear to be living there full time, which makes it seem like you're intruding on their space or crashing their party.

The front desk lady was friendly, the beds were comfortable. The curtains didn't quite close and a bright light right outside window sucked. The free breakfast was not very good actually it was bad. People hanging out in front and lobby with no room or money to get a room. Other than that for the price not bad choice

It was a lovely stay and the staff were super friendly and welcoming. The complimentary breakfast was awesome! Tasty waffles and breakfast sandwiches. It was super close to the trolley stop and a short ride to the pier.
