At Casablanca Inn, travellers praise the walkable location near the beach and trolley, the generally comfortable, spacious rooms, and an included breakfast, but many note a clear split between renovated and older units that feel dated.

Pros: Nice pool, lovely pool area. The hotel was in a good location. Even though it was facing a major street, the room was quiet thanks to the layout. The interior courtyard was a beautiful place to have a meal. We arrived an hour early and the front desk staff allowed us to check in early. Free parking. Jacuzzi tub was nice. Bed was comfortable. Cons: The room had a faint mildew smell and the carpet was slightly damp. The luggage rack and the light fixture in the bathroom were rusted, indicating that the dampness issue is ongoing. We upgraded to a room with a jacuzzi tub and a balcony, but the balcony just faced the other rooms (not a great view) so we didn't use it. The fitness room was tiny and had no air conditioning or fans, making it unusable. There were ants in the room -- not a ton, but there shouldn't have been any. Overall: I do not recommend upgrading to a more expensive room. Dealing with the dampness, mildew, and ants was not worth the price. Assuming the other rooms have these issues as well, I don't know if I would stay there again.

We got a suite room here, but it was both a blessing (big space) and a curse (paper-thin walls let us know what every neighbor was doing). The breakfast was serviceable: enough for us. The hotel is unfortunately located directly off a main road that locals in jacked up trucks seem to enjoy racing on day and night. That's another noise nuisance. The pool was nice, and we walked all the way down to the local beach a couple of times. That beach was better than the one by the city pier, in our experience. Finally, the hotel is conveniently located directly at a free trolley stop provided by the city.
