Wonderful stay at the San Clemente Inn! Exceeded expectations for the nightly price. Great staff!!! Nice amenities….pool, nice hot hot tub, fun little put-put golf, great restaurant and bar, and awesome walk along the beach every morning. Will definitely come back.

A lot of activities like Billiards, Tennis, Ping-Pong, Mini-Golf, Shuffle-Board, Foosball, Air-Hockey & more! Usually, it’s a just a little Gym & Pool/Jacuzzi for a 3-Star Hotel. Rooms are a good 3-star quality with full kitchens & lots of towels. Parking is a rip-off & should be included with the hotel price. We’re not parking in New York City or LA! No Oceanview, but a beautiful forestry view, but beware, coyotes live in there. Overall, I’d say like an (A-) or (B ) and costs like $140 $25 parking as a regular rate.

Our family of 4 had a wonderful 6 night stay here. The room was clean and comfortable and the balcony had a lovely garden view. The beach is a 10 minute walk down the hill (no sidewalk, but the street is wide). We really enjoyed the amenities including the pool, hot tubs, mini golf, tennis, and basketball. The only downside is the weightroom has dated, poor functioning equiment and is poorly ventilated.

Amazing stay. Have been camping at San Clemente state beach for 30 years. First time staying here. I may never go back to camping. Great room, comfy bed, spacious (we had the single queen), with stove top and full size fridge. The amenities... too many to list. You never have to leave, but if you do the beach is literally down the hill. Mini golf, salt water pool, ping pong, pool table (not the best sticks but fun with kids). Air hockey, foozball, corn hole, shuffle board... all included. Plus, activities throughout the week like rock painting, giant bubbles in the back lawn, bookmark making, live animals on the lawn... I believe the schedule changes weekly, available at check in. Which was a breeze. Staff was phenomenal throughout our stay. Room has everything you need... pots, pans, dishes, toaster, blender, just about everything (except scissors, hah). Had a room on the 3rd floor in the back over looking the games on the lawn. Loved the balcony every morning with my free coffee in the lobby. There is a coffee pot in the room or a kuerig in the lobby. Loved everything! This place is also a timeshare, you'll get the info but there never is a sales pitch. Ps there is a $25+ fee to park... but if lucky, parking can be found on the street if you don't mind walking. My car was fine, minus bird poop from the powerlines I parked under. Worth the save on a 4 night stay.

This place is awesome!! There are so many things to do right on the property. Our kids had an absolute blast. The staff were very, very friendly. Rooms are spacious and the balcony was huge! Will definitely stay here again.

San Clemente Inn did not disappoint. The exterior of this place reminds me of simpler days in this city, bringing back the warmth and nostalgia of the past. Once you open the doors to this property, you are transported into a beautiful resort world. The amount of amenities that you can do with your family or guests is more than what most Inn's I have been to have. From pool tables, air hockey and swimming pools to BBQ grills and "free" dvd rentals when you want to relax in the room. The rooms are fully equipped to cook for your long stays but quaint restaurants are approximately a mile away. The beach is within walking distance down the hill. The San Clemente Outlets are close by to shop. I discovered this place last week for a two day stay and loved it so much that I came back for 3 days this week. I will definitely keep this place in my "go to" list of places to stay and look forward to coming back!

Beautiful property, clean, great exercise facilities, free coffee, computer area, mini-golf, and large living area for the price. The only down sides were that you were charged for parking $25 per day which we were not aware of before hand and there were people outside playing and cursing loudly. Otherwise the place itself was nice.

They have lots of activities like mini-golf, BBQ, Billiards, Hot-Tub & Pool. Each room has it's own kitchen & supplies and the room is up to par.

Great place to stay with family. Place is well maintained and clean! They have tennis, a heated pool and other items.

Cockroach in Bathroom. Heater smelled horrible when used, decided it was better to be cold then smell that horrible smell. Gum stain on Carpet. Dust curtains. Lampshade stain.

The rooms are very clean, and very friendly staff.

Floors were filthy feet were black after walking around the room for 10 minutes looks like haven’t been mopped in forever. Everytime we request for a room with a view of the putting green play area we are denied. Typical Timeshare property

Property location was convenient, easy walk to the beach. The suites do have ants left some Crumbl cookies in the counter top 10 mins later the box was FULL of ants. I did mention this to front desk and showed pictures I guess they were going to discount the "hidden fees" most-likely won't be returning.

This is a nice hotel. They need to pull out the carpets as they give the rooms a musky smell. The table in our room was so wobbly it was unsafe. I wonder why it is still in the room.

Getting to our room was a shock with the smell of bleach! I immediately turned on the only wall unit air conditioner fan and opened the slider. The smell immediately irritated my throat and I coughed for hours until my throat gradually felt better. Don’t understand why bleach would be used and I now wish I would have reported it. The room itself was nice with full kitchen appliances with dishes and pans. We were only there one day so didn’t really use those but they were available. The only drinking water was in a vending machine off the lobby. No bottled water in room as a courtesy or for purchase. Upon checking out I was told there was a $25 parking fee but I didn’t have a car! It will be reversed but I had to insist on getting a receipt. Not sure if I will return.

The room was beautifully kept. Very clean and safe. All amenities provided. I only want to stay here when im in the area. We had dinner at the restaurant on site and it was delicious and very accommodating. This hotel and the premises superceded my expectations. Beds and bedding very comfortable. The pool and gazebo looked amazing but since we got back late and left early we were not able to take a dip or relax outside but definitely on the list for next time. Can't wait to visit again.

We attended a wedding at the historic cottage, so this is the closest hotel. This hotel is definitely a no-frills type of place. The rooms were a good size and you were located right by the beach, but we did notice there was mold in the shower and when we notified the operations manager at checkout, we are not really sure if anything was remediated and nothing was offered to us at that point. The hotel itself gives some nice coastal beach vibes, but definitely do not expect Marriott quality hotel rooms. It is a little outdated. The check-in process was very smooth.

The room had plenty of space, and the kitchenette was fully stocked with everything you’d need to cook. The furniture was in great condition and very comfortable. The property offered tons of activities, and the price was amazing. We only stayed overnight but wished we could have stayed longer. We will definitely be back with the kids when we can stay for a longer stay.

Great! The bedroom was a bit warm. AC was in the main area only.

They have a nightly parking fee for their empty parking lot. Basically a hidden fee so they can appear to be cheaper. When you click on policies on their website it doesn't even say there's a parking fee. Shower was clogged, room was clean but I'm not sure how they cleaned the shower without noticing it backed up immediately. There's a lot of road noise from I5. Bed frame appeared to be for a king size bed so there was excess bed frame all the way around the mattress.

Room have curtains for black out only, no daytime light filtering, so could not keep them Open, as people pass the windows

What we appreciated: -Great price for a family of six -Separate bedroom -Well stocked kitchen -Lots of fun amenities for children What we didn’t like: -Our unit was on the freeway so very noisy plus other guests were speaking loudly right by our window at midnight -It felt unwelcoming to be asked for $25 for parking, we parked in the neighborhood instead - We found a previous guest’s hat in the bedroom which made us wonder about the overall cleanliness of the place though it seemed ok - The wi fi only worked on our phone not on our computer and when we asked for help we were given the provider’s phone number (dealing with something like that is not what we prefer spending our time on while on vacation) - The worst part was the jacuzzi water turning our blond toddler’s hair bright green. We spent a lot of time and some money trying to fix it and while it is better it still has a lot of green in it. I was told a manager would call me about it but never heard from anyone.

Close to town for all types of shopping and restaurants. Only complaint I have was the bed it was the smallest double bed I’ve been in and very hard.

The front desk concierge was very nice and helpful. He answered all my questions and greeted me as I entered the lobby. We drove all the way from Texas I asked could we check in early. He informed me they had some room ready and allowed us to check in. I appreciate him so much we drove a very long way.

Raymond at the front desk is absolutely the best. We come to visit family a couple of times a year and Raymond is always there. He addressed me by my name as I approached the desk. Customer service like Raymond and the SCI are hard to find these days. Thank you also to Anthony who helped us with our check in. Such an accommodating staff and property

San Clemente Inn provides a quiet getaway stay. It is very clean and a cool coastal vibe. You can see people cleaning the property to keep it presentable. Staff from front desk, maintenance, to wait staff are very friendly. Shout out to Arnold and John (maintenance) for their hard work. Shout out to Anthony (front desk) too

This hotel needs more hospitality training. Via hotels.com I booked 3 rooms and they weren’t able to accommodate the room to be together. They didn’t take the time to research the invoice number of the 3 rooms that they were together. In the parking rules they should also stay “2 parking spots per room only” not “limited spots available” receptionist were not helpful to accommodate for extra parking it was very disappointing to wake up the next morning and see that at 7am half the lot was empty the t for the hotel to make extra money was lost

We had a lovely stay up until checkout. Your standard checkout time is 10 AM. Last night, my mom was told that extending checkout to 11 AM wouldn’t be a problem she was simply instructed to call in the morning. She called me around 8:30 AM today to confirm she’d like a late checkout, since I had booked both rooms and she had arrived late after a long day at Disneyland with her friends. When I called, I was told that because I had two rooms, I could only receive a late checkout for one due to a large incoming party. That made no sense. The rooms were not even in the same building, let alone near each other, so I don’t understand why that would be an issue. We had also experienced poor customer service at check-in. Susan at the front desk was extremely rude and unwelcoming both when we arrived and again when we called about late checkout. Frankly, she should not be in a customer-facing role. When I asked to speak with someone else, she transferred me to Denise, who backed up Susan’s decision without any real consideration of the circumstances. She also didn’t seem to care when I said this interaction would impact my review and future stays. The restaurant was excellent and the rest of the staff we interacted with were warm, helpful, and kind. I ask for the Manager Patrick and have never received a follow up. You should not be penalized for booking two rooms.

The room was ready early. Staff were welcoming and accommodating...asked for a room that was accessible without stairs. The room was clean, and kitchenette was in great shape. Area was very quite and easy access to interstate.

Beautiful spot in San Clemente away from the busy ness area but only a couple blocks to stores food and the pier. Walk to the beach. Susan was wonderful checking us in very accommodating. Second time here, will be back highly recommend 👍👍

After living and working in the San Clemente area since 1991, we left the area in 2018 but routinely travel back to visit family and friends. The San Clemente Inn was always my first choice. Pros: For two people or a small family, the one room suite is a perfect place to call home base. The kitchenette is well appointed with everything needed to make simple meals including a 2 burner cook top, full size microwave, dishwasher, sink, apartment sized fridge and freezer as well as utensils needed for cooking/eating. The bathroom can be accessed from the bedroom or from the hallway so anyone can use the restroom without having to enter the bedroom in th2 middle of the night. There's a small table, couch, chair, two pull down (murphy) twin beds, plenty of storage and a TV in the living area and another in the bedroom. Rooms have large balconies. Some even have an ocean view (but not all). Cons: This resort is older and there are no elevators. The freeway noise can be a nuisance if you end up in a room closer to the freeway. Ground floors have zero privacy if people are using the grounds so close those drapes if you're changing clothes. Ridiculous parking fee of $25 per day (fairly new as Ive never paid to park here in the past). Considering most stay at least two nights, it adds up. Its a greedy money grab and will be the reason I stay elsewhere when returning to the area in the future. Such a bummer because I've recommended this place to others for decades. Not anymore. Lame.

Room was clean. The staff is exceptional. I had everything I needed. It’s in a great location. Not adjacent to the beach but it’s less than a mile away.San Clemente is a quiet town with a great beach for surfing ( trestles) as well as San Clemente beach. The pier at San Clemente is great too!

We weren’t sure what to expect but this was a great place to stay with a family! We were wanting to go camping but after 4 failed attempts near there, we ended up camping at the San Clemente Inn. We even made s’mores on the stove in the room. Room had a separate bedroom and two Murphy beds, which was great for us. The kids loved the pool/jacuzzi. They have a rec room as well. Beach is maybe 10 minute walk away. We’d definitely stay again.

Nice hotel, the rooms are big, looks like it was built in the '70s so it's not the most updated facility. But it's got a lot for a family to do, it's got nice games and a pool on site that are all clean and fun to do. The beach is close by, a short 2-minute drive or somewhat strenuous hike as it's a steep Street. I like the place, my room was over 600 square feet and the price was excellent. The staff were fantastic. Really good, even the restaurant had fantastic staff at the bar and their happy hour items are quite excellent. I recommend, I will return.

Not worth it for a weekend getaway. Furniture had stains, Murphy bed linens were dirty and stained, and the restaurant wasn’t open during the posted hours.

Good value at this property. The room and common areas were nice. I even ate at the restaurant, where there was live music and good food.

We liked our room very much. We never could get the remote for tv to work properly even after maintenance said they fixed it, but other than that it was lovely. The best part of our stay was eating at Riviera restaurant onsite. The best authentic Mexican food we’ve ever had!! Totally worth our long journey just to have this wonderful food and meet the chef, who actually came by our table to see how we liked our meal. We would absolutely stay here again!
