Amazing stay!! We took advantage of the pool and hot tub every day. The food and service was excellent at any time in the bar/restaurant. The staff really love their jobs and you can tell they absolutely love the hotel. I’m going to come to this hotel as often as I can because it was truly a hidden treasure to find in San Diego. We didn’t need to leave for any reason, this excellent hotel has everything!

Loved this property! Huge, well-equipped rooms with fabulous views from the balcony. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Only had breakfast here and it was only fair. Good location to walk to some restaurants, easy to drive wherever. Overall, clean, but one issue in daughter's room with shower. Garage spaces are too narrow and $22 a night. I would definitely recommend and stay again. Great value.

Property has changed so much in a year. The food isn’t very good anymore. no one to order drinks or food while at the pool. The hot tub was so dirty and slimy on the sides. We called 3 nights in a row for the room above us had people running and jumping at all hours. Nothing was ever handled! Parking is by far the worst! the front desk charged my credit card and then another one I wanted to use just for dinning and billing to the room so it took us 7 days to get back 1600 dollars which pissed us off. The pool umbrella fell and hit me in the head and face and no one bothered to even ask if we were okay after having a bruised nose the whole week I was there. Thankfully it hit me and not my 3 year old who was next to me because it would have did some serious damage to him. They should probably make sure there is a safer way to have those anchored down. They want to charge you for parking nightly but don’t tell you that when it gets later there is no parking like at all unless you have a compact car. I really loved this place the first time but this 2nd trip was so disappointing. The night front desk people are no help either. You would think after 3x of the people acting like fools above us they would of did something about it. And I’m talking 2am to like 11am of those noise.

Balcony? See more in review. For the most part, a great stay except for a few things. 1. Housekeeping is slow. Two of the five days we were there, housekeeping did not finish until after 4:00. Ok if you are out of the room all day but not if you want to take a break mid-day. 2. We reserved a bay view room with balcony. The room faced west while the bay is south. Yes, you could see the bay from the balcony but not from the room. The balcony was another matter. Online photos show a balcony with two chairs. We had planned to sit and watch the boats on the bay. Turns out the balcony was only 14" wide and there were no chairs. Asked for a different room but were told that they were sold out. Such is the hazard of reserving on a third party site. You get the less desirable rooms. 3. Parking. The spaces are narrow. Be sure to rent a sub-compact if you plan to stay here. SUVs and larger vehicles need not apply.

I Love The Bay Club......The views, the HH, the staff, the location cannot be beat! Love the pool and jacuzzi over looking the Marina. I have vacationed here a number of times and will be back many more! We had one issue and the Manager took care of it, Asap. You cannot find a nicer spot to stay in San Diego!

The entire staff was great! We had three meals and the waitresses were friendly and on top of things Our room 209 had a tiny balcony but it was still fine The room was very clean and I appreciate the plenitude of pillows Parking was easy The fitness center was better than expected We would stay here again Also, the good quality was delicious

Fresh paint and a few updates almost completed, the hotel is quite comfortable. We made good use of amenities: in-room Starbucks (plus brewed coffee in the lobby in the morning), refrig and microwave in room, small convenience store. The bar and restaurant directly off the lobby were a big plus, as options within walking distance are limited. Happy hour 2-6 PM was a great deal! It is away from the main tourist centers but a really lovely baymarina setting, only about 15 minutes from downtown.

Toilet was leaking, and the sink would drain very slowly, and dog hair everywhere. I was only there two days, and did not want to bother the staff for a fix on my short stay. Would have liked if they had taken care of these things before. But the surrounding areas are pretty cool.

The room was nice, as was the view. I have to say, though…..the walls are thin. I could hear the families on either side of me. Maybe there should be a “no children” section of the hotel to choose from. Parking garage is ok, but the spaces are a bit cramped and $22 a night seems a bit much.

My room was quite large , and I even had a balcony where I could sit and enjoy the morning sunrise over the water. The front desk staff and the housekeeping staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Across the street from the hotel, there was a nice park-like walkway and shoreline. At night, there were firepits on the beach. It was a great change of pace from the highway driving, crowded theme parks, and city traffic.

The view at this property is amazing and it alone is worth packing your bags and making your way there. Getting a rideshare was always quick and easy. Only complaint is cell service/Wi-Fi was spotty. But hey, you'll be on vacation. Enjoy the sights and live it up at this gorgeous place. One miss with the staff where they didn't call for one of the taxis promised. But all else was great.

Second time staying here. Great couples get away. We book this place for the great location. We love the marina view from our room! Close enough to activities in San Diego but far enough away from the hustle so you can enjoy peace and quiet. The hotel is a bit dated and the walls seem thin, but it’s clean and comfortable.

The room was a nice size. There was a microwave, coffee machine, and mini fridge. The balcony view was very calming. They offer compliemntary coffee in the lobby in the early morning. The misses were the air conditioner that didnt seem to get cool enough, there were not enough outlets in the vanity area for blow dryer, curling iron, etc, without having to move the microwave. There was no where to plce clean clothing in the restroom.after a shower and no lid on the toilet. We also were not made aware that they require a credit card deposit of $100, and they charge $22 per night for parking.

The initial contact with the front desk was not great as I was early and inquired if it was possible to check in early, I was informed if I paid a substantial fee they might be able to accommodate me. It would have been nice to have been offered a text letting me know when my room was ready but the attitude was pretty much pay or we’ll see you after 4. The food was very good and service in the dining area was excellent. Housekeeping did a very good job of servicing the room although I only used them one time. The room was incredibly noisy I could hear everything in the rooms on either side of mine as well as the one above me.

I didn't like that even though our room was ready at our arrival time around 2:30 PM (check-in time is 4:00 PM) we were told it would be $75 to check in earlier. If the room is ready, why not let your guest check in a little bit earlier?

My first night someone was so loud in room 138 next-door to us that we were unable to sleep all night. I called the front desk. They did absolutely nothing about it. Next night was the same exact thing I called twice they told me about time security was gonna be sent down. I heard Security walked down the second time And nothing was done. Second night got absolutely no seat was told that we would be taking care of which to me was money back off the room and that did not happen so a terrible Stay the beautiful hotel was gorgeous. Some of the staff was very friendly but no customer service to take care of an issue at 12:30 and 130 and 2 o’clock in the morning. I am still waiting for a refund and I was told when I called my card that I needed to call the hotel. The hotel says they have nothing to do with it because I went through a third-party so now I’m back to my card so it’s a back-and-forth thing.

We liked the price and room 116. We didn’t like that it was so far from downtown. We had to spend a lot of money over our stay with uber. Not many excellent restaurants in area. The staff at the Bay Club were all good. The quality of the food needs improving.

The Bay Club is a nice place to stay. Ask for a renovated room otherwise you’ll get carpet. Bathrooms are a bit tired. Great to have balcony overlooking yacht club. Service at bar is very slow and food is just ok.

The hotel was great! Room service was not. My daughter was hungry, and we didn’t want to get out, so we ordered the fish for her. They got it to us too quickly, because it was hard like it was frozen. She couldn’t eat it. I never like to complain, so I didn’t call back. She ate a few fries and we left it out by the door. We ate at the restaurant when we arrived, and it was really great! Room service not at all. Great area! Would stay again, just won’t be ordering room service.

Construction at property- only notified of this 3 days before visit, and extent of it was downplayed by hotel, but in reality- no bar, restaurant, breakfast. Understand the work going on there and their efforts to improve the site. Just didn’t work for us.

Room was clean, staff was very attentive, we had awesome view from the balcony. Only thing was the walls were thin could hear the neighbors conversations. They were not even loud. But everything else was perfect.
