Seven Seas is a wonderful place and priced well. It has a cool mid century vibe. Rooms are clean and comfortable… close to Hillcrest the Zoo or beaches. There’s a restaurant on property and the staff is always friendly and accommodating.

Here’s a cleaner and more professional version of your review while still keeping your honest experience and concerns clear: The hotel is average overall, but considering how expensive hotels in San Diego County can be, I do think this is an affordable option for the price. I found the property to be clean, and while I experienced a couple of issues of safety that had me at edged. The main concern happened during check-in. I had reserved a two-bedroom room, but when I arrived, I was assigned a one-bedroom instead. Once I entered the room, I quickly realized it was already occupied because there were personal belongings in the closet belonging to another guest. That honestly made me very uncomfortable. While I understand mistakes can happen, situations like this are serious because it means someone could accidentally walk into an occupied room. I could have walked in while someone was sleeping or resting, and the same could have happened to me during my stay. After that incident, my experience was fairly average—nothing particularly impressive, but nothing terrible either. I live far away and occasionally need a place to stay because I work near hospitals in San Diego County, so convenience is important for me when choosing a hotel. so I don’t believe I’ll be coming back as safety is a big issue for me.

The property looks great from the outside. The room was clean but it was very stuffy and the a/c unit was very old, dirty and did not work well.

First room we were put in smelled very moldy and also like urine. Door frame and window frames were covered in mold. We moved to a different room which did smell better, but there was still mold all around the framing of the window. Our room key kept deactivating so I had to go to the front desk to have it reactivated multiple times.
