Overall it was comfortable tho scary everytime we use the elevator because of a sound coming from it.We always thought we'd be trap inside or it will suddenly drop.Front desk ladies are so nice esp.the one assigned today morning.Very friendly,even offered us a take out coffee Close to Old Town but my husband almost always miss the exit going to hotel circle.Very comfortable for the price with bonus breakfast.Thank you,will come back for sure.

No trash can in bathroom. Had to change from initial room due to cigarrettes or something else smell. Breakfast area was OK. Breakfast could use some regular bread instead of just waffles. Employees at front office and breakfast area were very nice and efficient.

I had a few problems with my room. Door didnt unlock easily. I had to struggle with it. 2 out of the 3 lamps were not working. Top sheet was stained. The nearest ice machine wasnt working. The property can use a refresh. The staff was very professional and nice. Parking was great. It was nice to have the option of a free breakfast. They could improve on it, but it was decent for a free meal. Get there early or you are guaranteed to wait. The hotel is located in a great spot. Easy fwy access to all directions.

Got a room on the 3rd floor, the moment I got into the elevator...half of it was covered by urine. I immediately went back to the front desk and report it. The housekeeper was done for the day. The front desk guy, could not leave the desk unattended. Do until the next morning, it was clean. The next day, around 7 pm same thing, this time the from desk guy check housekeeper and it was still there and cleaned it. It is a perfect location but only one person at front desk. Nobody else to help in cases like this. Not a good experience.

Not the best experience starting with stains and hairs on bathroom towels. Toilet clogged, ac stopped working multiple times, there was a spider in corner of ceiling and breakfast was just to small of choice no options! The whole place is very unsanitary all around the building!

The place was dirty - hair in the sheets, dirty shower, cups not washed. Dealt with it the first night and then the second night we saw a cockroach crawl down the wall. We packed up and went to a different hotel for the second night and the process of getting a hold of a manager and getting a refund for the second night was a nightmare. There are far better places to stay.

The room smelled of smoke and musty the doors don’t seal all the way the bathroom had nats. The “breakfast” was waffles raisin brand (gallon of milk everyone shared) and vanilla yoghurt. Some guy pulled up at 7 am blasting music for 15 min we were on the third floor and it was so loud all kinds of shady people hanging around

Hair on the towels. Hair on the sheets. Bugs in the shower. Light switch doesn’t work. Fumbled in the dark to find a lamp. White stain on the fleece blanket, I know what it is. It wasn’t mine. Air conditioner was missing parts. It rattled really loud then died.

Room was very small, but clean. Breakfast was as expected, dry cereal, yogurt, waffles, pastries and juice. Wifi was absolutely horrible and couldn't keep a connection. I realize this hotel is not high end but totally ridiculous in this day and age that you cannot have good basic internet.

Staff at front desk was nice and helpful. Our room was clean and seemed updated. The outside was not clean. I stayed there one night with my two sons for baseball games at SDU. At around 10:30 PM, a verbal fight was happening outside of our door. People were threatening each other. A little while later, the couple in the room next to us started fighting and pounding on things. Someone even attempted to open the conjoining door to our room! Scared my kids to death! The walls are paper there so we can hear everything. I tried to see if it would die down, but it didn’t so I called the front desk and they called that room and the fighting stopped. However, the guy there was either playing video games or talking loudly Until almost 5 AM. We had to get up at 6 AM for baseball. Needless to say, my son was not his best for a game with scouts there. The noise level was awful. You can hear everything going on. Car alarms kept going off. You can hear other people‘s toilets, door, slamming, conversations. We are so exhausted. I really think I overpaid for that place. I wish I chose a different one.

The room is very outdated. The TVs need to be replaced. The floors were dirty, the walls are pretty banged up needs some updating but the check-in and the people in the front office were very very good and they’re very good representatives of Wyndham. Thank you.

We were early for our check in at 1:00 pm. Tiffany was the person to help she was rude took care of other people while I waited for her to help us! When I came back a little after 3pm was in front of her register for at least 5 min she didn’t acknowledge me. Next customer walks in she told them that they were changing shifts, but never said anything to me. She was rude and not the kind of person you would want greeting people upfront. After that, we checked in with Enedina, very good customer service smiles, asked how we were doing was very nice. Very helpful. She made us feel more comfortable. That’s the kind of person that you need upfront.

We booked a 3-day, 2-night stay, and it was a terrible experience from the start. On the first night, we were terrified when someone tried to open our door at 3 AM and didn’t stop for nearly five minutes. We panicked and didn’t think to call the front desk right away, but when I finally reached them, they told me the situation had been handled and assured me the person had left the premises. The next day, the front desk promised to move us to a room closer to them for our safety. We were out exploring the city and came back late, hoping for a more secure night. To our surprise, they moved us to a room with NO working air conditioning and NO functioning phone line. After all the trouble, there was no proper room available for us to transfer to. This was the WORST experience ever. Guests do NOT deserve this kind of treatment—especially after paying for a stay. Completely unacceptable!

Overall my stay at Super 8 was pleasant. The staff was accommodating, and friendly. The room was fairly clean w a nice updated shower. My king room also came w a fridge and micro which was a welcome surprise. I always check the bed and the mattress corners, and both the mattress and box spring had clean protective covers on them. The shower was nice, and the towels were clean. The area is fairly safe and there is a diner next to the motel which closes at 10pm. The free breakfast is simple w some apples, cereal, packaged muffins, yogurts, coffee, juice and two waffle makers. That's a pretty good spread for a simple carb heavy breakfast. The motel let me check in fairly late like 10pm w no issue which was really welcome too. You can also walk 15 minutes to the closest mall whcih has shopping, movie theater, and food court choices. Overall the stay was a solid B+, and I recommend it for a clean local stay.

The staff was fantastic. Rooms were average, but could definitely use some new carpeting. My real complaint isthat we couldnt use the luggage dolly to get to our room. Trash cans on the floor block the dolly from getting through - you can use the dolly to get from your car and up the elevator, but not to your room.

Whenever I'm saying in San Diego I definitely choose this location as my go to spot. Not only is it a great location, close to the 8 freeway as well as local shopping malls and grocery stores, but you can't beat the price which includesfree breakfast and very clean and modern rooms. The hotels staff is also wonderful and very professional. They always make the check in and check out process seamless and I appreciate their hard work. I definitely recommend this hotel.

The property is located in an area that is pretty close to Old Town and not too far from downtown. The place is unfortunately dated and smells old. I appreciate the location and price, but probably won't be going back. Check-in was simple and quick. Even though parking is only $5 per night, it should be free. Not a horrible stay, but not worth returning.

Property is kind of old; stayed here years ago and not much has changed other than they are now Wyndham. Refrigerator was full of water on bottom like it was in defrost mode. A homeless person was a regular in the parking lot but he didn't seem to bother anyone. Hallways and walk ways to rooms are really narrow, not good if you're on a walker. It's a quick and easy stay. Front desk personnel were very professional. But apparently there's a strong odor of weed as you try to get to your room. Was worth it until the rate went up for the holiday.

Pros Excellent employees work here... everyone, from housekeeping, front desk, to maintenance were all absolutely fantastic. Clean rooms. Well maintained. Updated bathrooms and decor, premium towels. Cons Unfortunately many of the guests during my stay had a vagrant feel to them. Homelessless has gotten worse around Hotel Circle South in general. Had to switch rooms due to several unruly guest. Smoking outside rooms rather than near the fence. Guest Laundry left much to be desired and was quite expensive.

Bob was very rude and disrespectful. There service’s was down couldn’t check in until after 7:00 pm. The charge for parking now. Asked for no smoking room. Got smokers room. It smelled really bad. Comforter had cigarette holes all over it . Water was barely coming out of shower. You had a choice of extremely hot or cold shower . Temperature Halsey wouldn’t work. Breakfast was awful. It was only sugar choice only. Waffles, sugar cereal, yogurt, muffin, and a boiled egg. Not much of a breakfast. Over disappointed with hotel.

This is a simple motel. Freeway close and a short drive to the local attractions. The beds are a bit on the stiff-- which isn't a bad thing. The free breakfast is waffles, hard boiled eggs, packaged blueberry muffins, juices, cereals, yogurt and pretty good coffee. There is a $5 a night parking fee. If you need a place to sleep & shower this perfect.
