The good: -The room was quiet. Stayed two nights and heard no loud or disrupting noises and was able to sleep peacefully. -The included breakfast was fine and the seating area mostly clean. -Had probably one of the best burgers from the Bar & Grill on the main floor so no complaints there. -Check-in was smooth and all my interactions with the front desk and other staff was very polite and pleasant. -Hotel is located in a nice and quiet area - always felt safe. The bad: -The room itself was in dire need of some TLC. The floor had several stains -There was a strong musty/mildewy odor in the room - never got used to it. -Much of the other furniture (desk, sofa, closet) all had obvious signs of wear and the sofa also had some stains -The bathroom wasn’t terrible, but the shower head was detached from the wall. -TV/remote were a little dated and entertainment selection was standard local channels with a few other like Discovery, History, E!, etc. Overall, I’d give my stay a solid 2 of 5 stars. Food 5 of 5. Not likely to stay here again, but would if it was the only option.

Overall a relaxing visit. We had some minor issues in our room (GFI outlet in the bathroom was defective and sink plunger was inoperative), but as soon as we reported this to the front desk, the maintenance team was there to address the issue. Thank you. The pool and hot tub were amazing. we walked across the parking lot to the Jersey Mikes and took some sandwiches back to the pool and enjoyed the afternoon. The breakfast was great. A friendly staff. Whenever they decide to upgrade the mattresses, get a less firm variant. Thank you for having us. Overall a relaxing weekend.

All day coffee and tea. Cookies in the afternoons. Free breakfast. Close to highway and restaurants. Shower hardware was kind of old and falling apart. Used the workout room everyday — great equipment— but got hot pretty quick. Enjoyed our stay. We will be back.

The service was great, front desk and Continental breakfast employees John were very nice and helpful. However the bathroom was not very clean, hair in the shower, sink and toilet had stiff on the rim. The carpet has a a lot of black stains on the carpet like burns it ink stains. The carpet itself was very dirty and stained throughout.

Although the check in was smooth was smooth and the staff was cordial. The room assigned was the las room down the hall which had no access to the wifi. I called the front desk and they told me to bring my device down to them. Of course it worked there but when I brought it back to my room I watched as I slowly lost connection until I no longer had any. I had to be outside my room and next to my neighbors’s door before I could connect. As for the cleanliness, the moment I stepped into the room I was greeted with an unsightly stain on the carpet. As we walked further into the room, more stains became apparent. I didn’t want to dig further so I stopped looking and didn’t even bother checking the bed or bathroom for my own peace of mind.

The carpet of the room is awfully dirty. I complained with the staff and told me there is nothing they could do about it. They did not even change me room for the inconvenience and I clearly asked to be changed. You can hear the neighbors as well. There was not conditioner in the shower.

The internet service was unavailable in my room and I later learned the top two floors of the hotel. I had no internet service in my room. The suggestion was to come to lobby and work there as it was better here. This was not a viable option for remote zoom meetings. No offer was made to move rooms. The phone had a sped dial option for internet support suggesting it’s a common and consistent problem. I called and reported the issues using this speed dial option. The reply was “just keep checking to see if it returns”. Staff was very friendly and the hotel clean and well maintained. Bed was way too soft and uneven.

The hotel is in a quiet commercial neighborhood. Pretty close to the freeways. SD downtown is about 20 minutes drive. I stayed in a two queen bed room for 3 nights. The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was decent with few varieties. Not many food options around the place but since we had a car we drove nearby restaurants. Overall, it was a good stay.

Property was nice, very clean and a pretty good breakfast. A Starbucks and Jersey Mike’s was across the parking lot. The front desk gentleman was very nice and efficient. Though we remembered once we got to our room that we were supposed to receive two drinks an a room upgrade (if available) No surprise the next morning that the woman at the front desk informed us there were no upgraded rooms available. (Always seems to be the case doesn’t it?) When I grabbed two waters from the cooler after we ate, she leaned over a man she was assisting to tell us, “you need to pay for those!” before remembering she had told us earlier we could have them. Felt a little embarrassed to be dressed down in front of another guest; though I know she was probably doing what management wants when someone “grabs” something and it looks like they aren’t going to pay. But it was still a bit embarrassing.

The property sits on a large plot of land separated from the surrounding community and shared with a couple of other hotels, so it feels very safe and is quiet. Quick drive to many restaurants and shopping (5-10 mins away). Quick drive to UCSD (10 mins away). Easy access to the highway, about a 5 min drive away. Clean and large rooms.

When we went for the free breakfast at 8:45 a.m., most items were already gone (many hotel guests were milling about waiting, but nothing was being said/done by staff). Pros: The staff was very friendly, the pool was nice, and the free cookies at check-in were delicious! We also loved having a Starbucks right next door.

Took the train down from Los Angeles with the family. The hotel was great. We got a one bedroom suite. The hotel provides a great free breakfast in the AM. They provide fresh baked cooked in the lobby ( unfortunately to cook forgot to bake them on Saturday 12/30) The have a restaurant and bar on site and the food is amazing.
