The parking situation in the structure was terrible. Entry and exits were to confined and hard to navigate. Also the elevator in the parking garage was horrendous. The few times we chose to use it, it wasn't working properly. The room itself was overdue for a deep cleaning, noticeable stains and just lack of cleanliness. I have been a Hilton honors member for quite some time and this by far was one of the worst experiences ive had at a location.

Normal hotel in the midst of San Diego. Rooms were clean and spacious, view was ok, amenities existed ... One thing to be aware of, Parking is 33$ / night and getting in and out of the parking lot is a nightmare. Hotel is located on a hill and driving up and down from the parking lot is a two lane path, shared with a front unloading / check in area. So ... if somebody stops to unload or go check in, that takes out one of the two lanes to get in and out of the place. While we were there both of the lanes were blocked and we could not leave the hotel until a few minutes later when the driver in the departing lane came back from the inside and left.

Everything was great except for the parking garage spaces were super tight as well as going up and down in the parking garage really tight corners if you have a large SUV or truck it’s gonna be extremely hard turning those corners or even parking in the parking garage.

It was ok. Staff was nice. Our shower didn’t drain quick so taking a shower after someone else, you had to step in their dirty bath water lol parking is terrible. Parking elevator is terrible. Black mold was on a few pillows. Pool is “heated” but still cold. The snack area is insanely expensive. $4 or $5 for a can soda. Wild lol tons of people smoking weed everywhere but hey it’s Cali. Expected more from this place.

The property was generally nice. Bed, hot water in shower and quite location were the positives. You get cookies when you check in but are charged $3 for a bottle of water. The hot tub was broken my entire stay ( one of the top reasons I choose this location over others with free breakfast). Cost was to high for what you receive. Lobby was always hot (restaurant and bar also hot).

The rooms are dirty. There was makeup on the pillows, the shower didn’t drain, there was hair in the bathroom on the floor and in the shower. The carpet is gross. The refrigerator didn’t work. They moved us to another room but we shouldn’t have to go through that trouble

I had an extremely disappointing stay at this hotel. Upon entering my room, I noticed hair everywhere—on the bed, in the bathroom, and even on the furniture. It was clear the cleaning standards were not up to par. The towels provided were another issue; they turned yellow in the water, which was both unsettling and unsanitary. Adding to the discomfort, there was visible mold and rust in several areas, including the bathroom and air vents. It gave the room an overall neglected and unhygienic feel. To top it off, the entire hotel felt outdated, with worn-out decor and furniture that looked like it hadn’t been replaced or maintained in years. For the price I paid, I expected far better conditions. I would not recommend staying here until significant improvements are made.

Front desk was nice enough, but condition of hotel is awful. Should have been concerned when pulling up since then area was definitely prone to vagrants. The hotel lobby seems updated, however the rest of the hotel is old, dirty, and in no way nice. The room was atrocious, smelled, filthy carpet, dents in the walls. The baseboards were coming off and there was so much grime and dirt along them in the carpet I didn’t want to take my socks off. I always check the beds when I stay places, thankfully no bed bugs but there were multiple blood spots on the mattress cover. The bathroom smelled sour and was just as old and dilapidated. Broken tiles in shower, drill holes left from where they must’ve removed racks in it, vanity was chipped and worn. The best part of all of this was looking out our “balcony” and seeing beer bottles and underwear - which my 10 year old pointed out. Stay away from this hotel at all costs. We ended up leaving 2 hours after check in and paying for a different hotel. I’ve never done that in my life.

Durty room, stained bathtub, questionable clean sheets. The room smelled bad and the carpet in asection of the room was dampen. The lobby was okay and clean but as soon as we got to the room floor the carpet is old and durty, and bad smell greet us as soon as the elevator doors open.

The shower had rust around the edges of the tube, the carpet was stained and looked dirty. Above the sink on the ceiling there were black dirt, they didn’t provide enough towels for me and my family. Also our toilet paper wqs at half roll and didn’t leave any extras in the room. It was very weird.

This hotel is pretty grungy. It’s old and beat up and it definitely shows. The carpets were stained and dirty, the bathroom tiles had big chips, and the furniture was beat up. When you walk into the lobby it smells nice because they are pumping it with fragrance but as soon as we got off the elevator the hallways smelled like dirty feet/food. The condition truly made it feel like a motel and not the caliber of a Hilton/Doubletree.

Property was close to sea world and few residents about 10 min away Unfortunately our room was dirty and when we let staff know nothing was done besides getting more towels. Our neighbor was fighting all night with profanity and all. Not the best especially when having our child with us. Overall wouldn’t stay here again.

I would not recommend this hotel. It’s overpriced, dirty, poorly maintained. We stayed there one night. The sinked was clogged, dryer is broken, can’t sleep due because you can hear the noise from the freeway.

A speedy check in which i loved with my tired children with me. The room was spacious and pretty clean but it was a 2 bedroom suite and the air conditioning was not sufficient to cool both rooms even with it running all day and night. Also, our room shared walls with the elevator on the other side and at night you constantly here the movement of the elevators which was a little annoying. The service was great, our mini fridge wasnt cooling and they immediately replaced it. The pool is heated and kept clean 👌

Room is a bit dated, but clean. Carpet needs to be replaced. Bed was super comfortable. A/C was quiet and kept the room cool. The hallway was very warm. Not very accommodating for vehicles over 6’6” clearance. Parking was scarce and difficult to navigate in a van. I didn’t get a cookie, but the front desk staff were very friendly.

I really wanted to like this hotel because of its convenient location and the reputation that typically comes with staying at a DoubleTree. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone unless serious improvements are made. I had to check into FOUR different rooms during my stay due to problems in each one. The first room reeked of cigarette smoke, despite being a non-smoking booking. The second had black mold in the bathroom, which was both disturbing and unacceptable for health and safety reasons. The third room had an AC unit that smelled like wet dog—impossible to ignore. By the time we reached the fourth room, we were exhausted and didn’t want to move again, even though the poor water pressure made basic tasks like showering frustrating. Beyond the room issues, the elevator in the parking garage was not working, which meant lugging luggage up stairs—not ideal and not accessible for everyone. Trying to get connected to the Wi-Fi was also a nightmare. Despite repeated attempts I was never able to get it working properly, which made it hard to get any work done. For a property that carries the DoubleTree name, the lack of upkeep was surprising. From the mold to the musty AC smells and smoke odors, it’s clear that there’s a serious maintenance and cleanliness issue at this location. Add in the unusable elevator and inconsistent amenities, and it made the whole experience feel like a budget motel rather than a trusted hotel brand.

Greeted upon arrival, quick check in. The parking garage was tight. The hotel itself is clean, our room King Famly Suite smelled fresh and was tidy. There’s a few things that could be updated but over all was clean. When going to the onsite restaurant, we were seated got some coffee, and then after 20 minutes we had to go find someone in the kitchen to take our order, at that point we decided to leave. We requested comforters and security brought them to us quickly. The hotel required key card to even enter the lobby so it felt safe. Hotel staff was so friendly and made us feel welcome throughout our stay. Cat friendly hotel, $50 pet fee/stay. Overall good price and very comfortable stay.

Please don’t stay here. We checked in and the gentleman at the front desk asked if we were parking at the hotel and we said no. We did street parking and he said usually it’s not available but if it was we were free to park there. Anyhow, the hotel rooms are filthy and dirty. I couldn’t wait to leave. We checked out 4 nights later and I got a charge for the parking. Called the hotel to see what was going on and they refused to help me, they said since it was posted already they can’t refund me. They never even sent me a receipt. The lady on the phone hung up the phone on me. So unprofessional. Seriously the worst experience ever.

Hilton is the only hotel I book—it's become our go-to place because of the safe surroundings, exceptional customer service, and overall welcoming environment. Every stay feels like a treat. The staff is always friendly, professional, and willing to go the extra mile to make sure everything is perfect. Check in was difficult. I was told they have a new system and because I booked through a third party it would take longer. And I was also told they lose 30% because I booked through a third party. It was not a great experience. The bed was horrible, no support, or comfort. We were 2 rooms away from the elevator and could hear them all night long. I sent a message to the hotel letting them know all of this and they just said hope you’ll give us another chance. No absolutely not.

We were in town for the weekend for some beach snd zoo fun and decided to stay on hotsl circle. The hotel is convenient and a short drive from Sea World, the zoo and beaches. The room was average. It had coffee and a mini fridge. There was enough space for 4 people to move around comfortably. It was clean and adequately stocked and housekeeping came daily. I took a star off because the water pressure in the shower is non existent. The buffet breakfast is 22 a person but very basic. You can get cheaper better quality food at the restaurant down the street. We did eat at the restaurant one night for dinner and had a good meal. The service was good and the drinks strong. Overall it was a great stay and we all enjoyed it.

One of the reasons for booking this location was due to the site saying breakfast was included. When we had breakfast it was $22 per person(5) and they told me it wasnt included. Hotel did nothing to try and fix the situation they simply said contact Expedia

The stay was overall pretty okay. But the wallpaper in the room was held up with thumbtacks. Housekeeping didn’t come to the room while we were gone. No complimentary breakfast after paying $33 a night for parking.

Check in was super easy they even gave cookies so the kids enjoyed that not to big on paying for a hotel and then on top of that having to pay for my car to be parked at that hotel 33 a night and if you have a larger vehicle don’t bother parking in the garage you will for sure scrape your vehicle and their little store pricing is outrages the hotel salad was watery but everyone was super nice

Not super clean but also not the worst hotel I've stayed at. Outdoor pool was always too cold for any of us to swim in. Breakfast definitely not included and only 1-2 restaurants nearby. Was an OK stay but probably won't stay again
