came for a work trip and location was perfect for the event. Happy it was dog friendly! Parking is always a headache in San Diego, and no surprise it comes at a steep price here. At least the valet was quick.

Hidden fees. They charge additional $25 fee once you check in. Theres no way around it. Also no self parking. You are forced to pay for valet parking and waiting for your car; takes forever each time. Receptionist was rude. Baggage employee was rude. A lot of stains in our room on the couch and cushions. Very hot in the lobby. Wouldn't stay here again

Expect to pay for valet service. There is no self parking and it’s $65 per night. The wait to get your car is ridiculous. It’s a chaos! The pool is not so big. The rooms are nice, the free breakfast is great. The staff was friendly.

Great location and walkable and safe with lots to do. Staff is helpful and responsive and breakfast is really good. The valet parking is terribly though. No space and you always wait for your car for a while. That my only issue.

The pool is small And in an enclosed area, wish it was rooftop outside. Also they chafed $65 for valet parking and 25$ fee… too many hidden fees. Staff were nice a complimentary bfast was a plus.

The hotel is nice and the rooms are comfortable with good amenities. The gym was not the best. The equipment was lacking and out dated compared to other embassy suites I've stayed with. The staff was hit or miss. Some were very pleasant and accomodating but there were a couole outliers that were rude. Overall our stay was good and I would consider staying again.

Overall, the property is nice. The issues I had were that the room had a smell like it was cleaned with a dirty/moldy towel. Also, one of the sinks had a very slow drain, and one of the shower doors didn't slide open, which made it difficult to turn on the water.

My husband and I arrived late at night and someone at the front greeted us immediately. We were given our room but it wasn’t the one we ordered (had two queen beds instead of one king bed). They said that they were sold out for the night but that we would get the room we ordered the next day. As promised, we got the room the next evening. There was mold on the tub in the bathroom and one of the towels had a blood stain. Our room was facing the train so we could hear them passing. The hotel had a great location to seaport village and USS Midway. In all it was an okay stay. We like that we got a 25$ a day credit to spend at the gift shop.

Clean, convenient lodging with an excellent breakfast that has a made to order omelet station. Queen suite had two large rolms, living space had a dining table, chair, couch, wet bar refrigerator and microwave. Bathroom vanity outside of the bathroom with a sink, as well as another vanity and sink inside the bathroom. 5 people could sleep comfortably.

Ac didn't work they did send someone the second time of me requesting it but still didn't get fix room stayed in a room that was 78 degrees all day luckily we were barley there but the temp didn't change.

The service staff were excellent and always responsive to our concerns. I especially liked having a suite to stay in--the rooms were spacious and clean. However, I only gave a four star review for the following reasons: 1. The $25/day mandatory spending is ridiculous. I have never heard of such a thing. I would rather you charge us the $25 in the price, which more honestly reflects the price of the stay. 2. The WiFi speed was mediocre at times. Other than those two concerns, we had a great stay and would come again.

Overall my stay was very pleasant. Although I do expect more from an Embassy Suites property. Unfortunately our bed was extremely hard and worn out. It was very hard to get any sleep. Housekeeping said they put a mattress pad on the bed, which turned out to be just a blanket and offered no relief. I advised the front desk but no remedy was given. I believe the mattress was old and needed to be replaced. I’ve stayed at other Hilton properties and have never come across this issue. This property needs to do better.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, ordering taxis for me and giving recommendations. The rooms are really spacious and provide a good workspace if you need to work from your room or in the public areas. The wifi was decent enough for video calls. I slept great in the comfortable bed and the rooms are so quiet, I never heard anyone else walk past or in other rooms. I'm usually a very light sleeper.

Location is perfect, we always get the Bay view with Balcony for the views but this last stay we got room 1012 which is not all Bay view we mainly got a big building view and half a bay view which I would consider it a city view but they charge for bay view, the room did not have hot water when turned on you had to wait about 10 minutes to let it the water heat up, once in the shower it kept changing from hot to cold, we asked front desk for another room and they offered a non balcony room which they had available so we agreed, asked us to pack amd wait 30 minutes they would bring up the key to the new room after 45 minutes we decided we couldn't cancel our plans and keep waiting so we told front desk to forget the room change we'll stay and deal with the hot/cold water shower since we had one more night left. Engineer said they switched a pipe between rooms 1011 and 1012 so it takes a while to heat up. Do not get those rooms if you stay there not worth the amount you pay. Otherwise everything else was good.

The room is spacious and clean. I like their breakfast buffet, hot and fresh, and included with the stay. There were a lot of people but the lines were moving really quickly. Location is great, walking distance to shopping, restaurants, and the beach. We really enjoyed our stay!

We enjoyed our stay. The only downsides were the ridiculously expensive valet and having to wait to get in/out, as well as being placed right across from the elevators as it’s very loud. I’m not sure I’d do this hotel again. However, the view from our balcony was absolutely amazing! The noise from the street below travels up, so motorcycles, sirens, and honking was sometimes hard to tolerate at night when falling asleep but eventually it dies down. My husband and daughter loved the complimentary breakfast. I’m not a morning person so I personally can’t rate it. The resort fee kind of sucks, but we took advantage of it by using it in the small on-site store, for sunscreen, snacks, and drinks.

Was very disappointed when checking in. The front desk was not friendly and being condescending. When I told her that I was there for my son’s tournament and did not realize that I booked the wrong location and if I can switch to another Embassy in La Jolla, the clerk said no because I booked through the third party without any effort to further checking if I could. I understand policy is policy but going above and beyond for certain circumstances.Then she said if I wanted to cancel then she can cancel it. I asked if cancel with a refund. She said no. Really?!?! Then I asked why would I want to cancel right now with no refund. She said she just provided me “options”. Very poor customer service. Low stars was because of the “warm welcome” that we experienced!

Our check in experience was a disaster. We had stopped by early in the morning to drop off luggage before we went to the zoo, and they said our rooms weren't ready yet but would be likely around noon or 1pm as people checked out. We said no problem since we were heading out, and the rest of our party showed up around 1:30pm and was told the rooms were still not ready but would be next to clean. We showed back up around 3pm and the rooms were still not ready but they continued to tell us we would be next so we just waited. Finally around 4:25pm after checking with them 3-4 times they finally gave us the keys to the rooms but didn't tell us who was in each room (and we didn't think to ask since we were traveling with young kids who were bored and exhausted). During the stay we charged items like parking or meals to the rooms, only to find out at check out that it was flipped and then spent half hour trying to fix the room charges (although the person checking out was far more knowledgeable and competent than the person checking in and apologized for the issues). During the stay at no point did they ever service the rooms, so we had to keep finding carts to ask for things like towels, cups, or toilet paper. I know they were at capacity but they definitely do not have staffing to accommodate. Their parking was a total disaster too, to get the car every day the valet line was kid blocked with cars and took forever to get in and out. Definitely stressful experience.

Not so good. Reception desk,at checking in, told us that our parking is free because we are Hilton honor members. However, it was added to our bill. Discuss with manager and her response to us was “ there is no way that her employee would’ve told us that !!! Means we are not being truthful!!! Shame on you as a company to accuse your customers before you discuss with your employees!!

For the first time, I can actually say this has been the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. I checked in about an hour and a half early. And right when I checked in at the time I was supposed to they still did not have my room ready better yet, I had to wait another 30 to 40 minutes after I already said I will take what’s available. The room was very cheap. I’ve had lower budget Hotels look better than what I paid for. If you’re looking for housekeeping, maybe some extra towels or extra pillows don’t bother; even if you call multiple times you’ll never get them especially after the person you speak to says they will be right up. An hour later no pillows nor towels. I wish I can say anything good about this hotel but unfortunately, I just can’t because I did not have a great experience not even an average experience so unless you’re on a budget, do not stay at this hotel.

I love the location and especially the staff. I usually feel uncomfortable staying in hotels but this one is the exception. Our flight arrived 6 hours earlier than we expected and I called the hotel, Vanessa was incredible and told us we could already check in and she would text me as soon as a room was available. The maids were so so sweet and kind, the ladies in charge of the drinks at happy hour told us all the best beaches to go to that were clean and safe. I love that we could have breakfast and coffee every morning. My daughter loved the pool and I loved that there were comfy chairs and tables for me to sit at while she swam. The onsite restaurant has an amazing staff and delicious food. The valet service was so nice because we didn’t have to find parking and could just walk directly into the hotel, the valets were so sweet and helped us with our heavy suitcases. Overall just a great place to stay and we will be back

Great location in downtown with rooms That can overview the bay and Harbour. Breakfast is quite busy if you come after 8 or even close to 9 and offers are limited but overall ok. They serve free drinks from 5:30-7pm which is nice. Limited to two obviously per person but still great. We really enjoyed our stay despife the 60$/ night for parking.

Everything was nice for the price point. We did not participate in the happy hour but I heard good things. Bed was comfortable, the sheets felt good, bathroom was fine. Only complaint I had was that the breakfast thing began closing 40 minutes before the states close time. As such, by the time we got out of the omelette line, all the fruit, yogurt, toast, danish were all put away. After eating half my omelette, I wanted more coffee, but the sweeteners were all put away. Very convenient to shopping, the Gaslamp District…

Breakfast chefs were rude and rushed us thru the line. Only once line staff was nice and I wish I grabbed her name. Aside from her the three chefs were rude and one staffer I asked for gluten free bread from spoeared bother with the ask. People have food allergies such as myself, so mkre options would be great, and without the attitude. The stay otherwise was great, but id say the food st the Monterey Bay Embassy Suites was superior, including the staff.

Not much to do around the hotel itself, but can walk to the USS Midway easily. No beaches nearby. There is a mandatory 25$ resort fee that can be used on property. Just don’t use any leftover money to tip. That is not included. Only one dining option. The restaurant food was good, though they do remind you that you have 25$ to spend. They don’t say not part of the tip. As I was leaving the property I read the handout they give at check in that stated- 25$ cannot be used on tips or alcohol. Would have been nice if the front desk person said that instead of having to find out after the fact. Room was clean, breakfast area was nice, breakfast staff were awesome.

The beds are incredible, an the area is definitely awesome. A few steps and you’re in the bay with a lot of restaurants and places to visit. The buffet and the quality of food is great, but it’s the same every they. It’ll be a good option to vary it. I stayed for 9 days and got bored of it.

The room was ok, we have stayed in this hotel years ago and it seem much better. Today the breakfast felt cheap and the place is due for a remodel. But, we were disappointed about the extra fees and parking fee.

The evening cocktail hour was fabulous. Unexpectedly great mixed drink offerings. Breakfast was excellent with many options and the service was impeccable. The entire hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.
