The hotel looked run down as compared to the Hiltons that I am used to staying in. Mostly the poor rating was due to the fact that I parked my rental car in their parking garage. The window of the car was busted out and items were stolen. They claim they had garage security but the security guard apparently didn’t report anything. They also claim there are cameras but we couldn’t view them without the police. The police won’t visit the property unless it’s 10K worth of damage/stollen items so basically it’s impossible for you to get access to see who broke into your car. For all I know they claim there are cameras and there really aren’t any. Either way the area is riddled with homeless, they should have better security for their guest’s vehicles especially when they charge $37/night to park there.

Not what we were expecting to say the least- to begin with, the typical hidden fees. They advertise one price but they know there’s no where near to park so once you get there they charge you 37$ a night or they tell you you can take your chances at a gas station. Then once you agree they let you know the parking garage elevator doesn’t work- said it was temporary but it was out of order the whole 4 days we were there. The AC in the room didn’t work. We lowered it to 65 which is the lowest it’ll let you but the room was well in the 70s. Not a big deal since it’s San Diego but not cool. The plumbing was backed up. Every time we brushed our teeth the sink would fill up. The fridge in the room didn’t work and you couldn’t adjust it since the meter to move it in between settings was broken. No room service - although that may be typical now. Breakfast available for a fee, although not recommended . Service not great WiFi is free but it’s slow. If you want good wifi it’s an up charge. Also, tv didn’t have service

Parking was expensive and very inconvenient. Property is under renovation…. Had to go thru back service areas and use service elevators to get to room. Areas were dirty, smelly, trash everywhere. Very disappointing for cost for our room. Plus $37 to self park in a dark scary dungeon parking lot is outrageous .

Rooms I was offered were filthy, covered with spores, dust, health hazard. The location has to be closed, inspected by the health department of the city of San Diego, health department of California. Floor was wet, regfrigrators not functioning in neither rooms. I was forced to leave at (;00 pm on Sunday evening finding another place to stay for duration of my stay in San Diego. I had never seen a hotel as filthy as the Hilton hotel located at 901 Camino Del Rio S. San Diego CA 92108.

Housekeeping didn't come the second day. Our room was very dirty and looked like there was a lot of damage. We have stayed at this hotel a few months ago and had a much better room at a better price funny enough. Dissapointing.

The restaurant was awesome, and the food was plentiful and tasty. The parking was small, my mom found hair on the ceiling, inside a bath towel, AND a hand towel. I found hair in the shower after house cleaning had come by and cleaned it.

Very nice hotel, easy checkin and parking. Only issue was our room was very hot even with the ac as low as it could go and the ac fan on high. There wasn’t much air coming out of the vent. Our whole window was covered in condensation in the morning.

The best part of the stay was the restaurant. We paid for a king with skylineview and sofa bed, hotel first puts us in a double, the. In someone else’s room and then back in the double because they were full. The view was the recycling bins and a bill. There was no skyline. We requested our water heater get fixed twice because there was no running hot water in the shower. Needless to say the cold showers we took for four days was what we got. The best part was the restaurant, Wendy and the team were amazing and we enjoyed every meal we had with the crew.

Its a clean hotel and very convenient for people looking to explore San Diego since ubers to and from downtown are affordable and fast from there. The only thing is that those walls are thinnn. You can hear what is going on in the top rooms and side rooms. Other than that it's a family hotel so its very safe.

From the moment I checked in, I felt like it was a busy weekend and they couldn’t be bothered. I got zero information about the hotel. I didn’t even know there was a pool until the second day. She just gave me keys and that was it. I didn’t know what time the food was available till or even if there was a restaurant wasn’t completely obvious when I walked in. I didn’t know anything. One evening. I was trying to buy something at the bistro and I waited and waited and waited for somebody to come back to you that the front desk but nobody came so I finally just went upstairs with it and phone down half an hour later to let them know that I’ve taken a couple of items to my room. The bistro shop was completely cleaned out the first night and not restocked folks in the restaurant and the bar were very pleasant and helpful. The sheets on the bed felt like they had been washed too many times or they were very pilly to lie on not comfortable. All in all it was a very mediocre stay.

At 3:35am i was awaken to my door being opened. The hotel made a huge mistake assigning me to the wrong room. I was given keys and was occupying the room when the other party tried to enter. I was unable to go back to sleep after that runing my day.

The front desk just gave a key to my mom’s boyfriend when I was parking the car without asking for his ID or my permission. I do not appreciate them just giving out the key to my room. For the record, I am Asian and he is not. They had no right just making him a key.

We paid for a King Bed and were told there was none left when we got there but got “upgraded” to two queen beds. I do not consider that an upgrade. And we tried calling for room service and we noticed our phone was broken and ripped out of the wall. We went down to tell the front desk and they just told us that sucks and “maybe they can fix it”. We go to dinner and come back and there is a man in our room fixing the phone. We got scared coming in because we had no idea someone was going to be there. He basically said there is nothing he can do and “hopefully are no emergencies”. We lay down after a long day and notice our Tv is broken and our fridge is off after leaving stuff in there all day. We didn’t bother reporting because we knew they would tell us “that sucks”. Lastly, there are only two working elevators for 14 floors. So it took us 30 minutes waiting for an elevator because it was completely filled by the time it got to us. I wouldn’t stay here again. The staff just made it much less enjoyable i knew they can care less. I wasn’t even asking for anything free i just wanted a working room and exactly what i paid for which I did not get.

I loved my stay here aside from it being difficult to get to and from. But overall rating is low because i was never sent a receipt they promised me at checkout. I have called and asked SEVERAL time over the phone since my stay for my receipt to be emailed to me and they haven’t sent it once. I have no record of what was charged to me for this stay.

Loud guests arrived at 10:30 pm shrieking and laughing and slamming doors next to me. Woke me up. I called front desk, guest services hotline, and operator at 11:15 pm to have someone tell them to quiet down. Let phone ring many, many times for each call and no one ever answered. No sleep most of the night and has there been a real emergency, no one to answer calls.

The room they put me in smelled of cigar smoke, but they were happy to change my room. The reading light over my bed does not work. But the biggest disappointment was they have no breakfast room service. This was a mom and daughter get away and we have a fun tradition of room service breakfast. I called the day before and specifically ask if the hotel had breakfast room service and was told yes. I will never stay at a Hilton again. This is terrible custom service.

The staff were friendly, that is where the positive things end. The bathroom counter top was cracked and repaired with what look like liquid nail, the shower pan on the outside of the shower was dirty looking, the conditioner was completely out in the shower, the shower pan was slippery, there was mold in the shower tile, the reading light either did not work completely or flickered so bad I almost had a seizure. Should I go on? Don't even get me started with restaurant's food, bland, over cooked, and just terrible. Dennys down the street had better food and cost a 10th of what I paid. This is not the typical Hilton hotel standards that I expected especially with the price I paid per night. Not impressed at all. Definitely not worth a 4 star rating.
