We got to the hotel check in was easy but when we got to the room i checked the beds to make sure the sheets where changed the bed had alot of little hairs and the bottom sheets had alot of little stains that looked like bed bug droppings the bathroom was nice but there was no hot water and there was a dead bug on the towels i give this stay a 5 the pool is not well taken care of we made the best of our trip the pool needs maintenance my kid cut themselves on the steps when getting out of the pool

Very good value for the cost; breakfast is typical fare at this level (cold hard boiled eggs, cereals, pre-packaged yogurt w fruit, muffins, etc. Important pluses: room cleanliness, everything worked, clean pool, relatively safe; important negatives: next to no soundproofing, noisy pool, noisy outdoor halls, construction/remodel of cheap quality.

It’s conveniently located off the freeway. Was not at all the quality of what I expected from a LaQuinta property. Very noisy!! Front door had a gap and old. Interior had been recently redone but part were not complete. Nothing on the walls. Casework was not complete and trip was poorly painted. The so-called breakfast was embarrassing and not consistent with LaQuinta standards. The breakfast area was in the area in front of the check in lobby with no tables. Food area was some tables set up aligning the walls. Very disappointing. A portion of the hotel was under remodel which meant construction dust was being brought down the walkways etc.

They gave us the one room that is closest to the nearby highway. It was extremely noisy all night and made sleeping very difficult. We checked in about 5:00 PM so we do not believe that was the only rooom available. Also, right outside the elevator in the parking lot was a lot of junk from an apparent renovation of the hotel. This included a toilet settting in the parking lot. Not very appealing.

The hotel is under renovation. The hotel should not rent rooms near the ongoing renovation. After a long car ride we just wanted to rest however there was a jackhammer being used a few doors down. The outside of the hotel looks like a hurricane hit it. After we settled in and my wife was half dressed a man walked in on us. Evidently, he was given a key to the room also. I fully expected the manager to come up and apologize but that did not happen. Additionally, the keys stopped working and we had to get new ones three time during our stay. We asked to see the manager several times, and when we checked out, but he/she was never around. Finally we were told that he/she would call us, that never happened so we had to call. At least the room was clean.

The pictures did not match the property at all. The description indicated it had a pool and we couldn't find any pool. I have stayed in several hotels and never had a hotel where the towels did not look clean and the sheets came off the bed. There was something sticky on the bed when we arrived and my husband is the one that cleaned it off. The next day our trash was not emptied but they left a trash bag for us to do. I have Never had to so that! The smoke detector also randomly went off in the middle of the night. There is more but I wouldn't be able to fit it all. I would never stay here again nor recommend it to anyone!!

Not the cleanest. Hair on the ceiling of the shower, linens were stained on the bed. In addition, I booked a king bed and upon arrival they told me they didn’t have any left, so I had to settle for 2 queens. Not having the room I booked and overall uncleanliness wasn’t ideal.

The room was dirty the bathroom and floors had to be cleaned. Hair all over the bathroom floor. Had to buy cleaning supplies to clean myself. Asked housekeeping for towels only was provided 2 when I had a reservation for 4. Had to buy toilet paper because I asked for some and never got any not a property I would stay at again

Our room was so dirty- the floor had puddles of mop water, every table had spills and grime, there aren't any service items and the towels are stained. There was hair allover the bathroom. Breakfast sucks. It was overall gross. The worst part was waking up with BUG BITES and the dried BLOOD in the shower. Upon speaking with the front desk, the clerk was avoidant and refused to help.

The staff was all very nice. The room appeared clean but the floors are not being mopped/cleaned well (I spilled some water on the floor and while wiping it up the cloth came back black with dirt. The bed and pillows were the most uncomfortable I may have ever laid on.

I stayed at this hotel twice. April and now in May. Staff was awesome. Both times I checked in I was greeted by Ivan. Any questions I had he was able to answer. Now the downside. My room was not very clean. The floors were very sticky and when I went to wipe up the floor after water got on from a spill that I did the towel was literally black. My Aunt was in another room and she said the same about her floor. Beds were clean and no other problems. I did have a change of plans and checked out a day early. I was refunded a day back. Sidebar, do something about your remote controls for the TV.

The condition of this hotel is poor even though it is being painted. There are numerous issues with the room including the deadbolt did not work, there is no seal around the door to the room, construction started at 8:00 instead of at 9:00am as the notice on the front desk counter stated. Trash/Recycling pickup is at 5:44am and the banging of the trash dumpsters by the trash truck startles you awake. There are numerous issues with the building including exposed electrical wire and rusting stairwells. The room look like it was refurbished but never finished!

My room was clean, roomy, and comfortable - except for the pillows. I don't understand why they are square-shaped. I'm a side-sleeper mostly. Any time I turn, I have to shift my body over so my head can rest center on the pillow. After a long day under hot sun, I couldn't wait to get a good sleep. Good sleep never came.

This hotel is very close to the 15 Freeway and they do a poor job of blocking the sound of the freeway. The place was almost empty but they gave us a room overlooking the freeway. The person at the desk said very little and did not share about the time for the free breakfast or check out time etc. We originally planned to be here two nights but only stayed one due to the inability to sleep through the freeway noise. Also the room was not clean with hair and dust swept under the table and bed but still evident. I would not come back to this hotel.

Great location right off freeway and staff was very kind. Breakfast and parking is included which is rare to find now days! Only cons were the windows don’t have good insulation so you could hear the freeway all night and the beds were not the best. Room is renovated and surface level clean but could use a deep clean. Great for a quick stay, when traveling you are just there to sleep anyways. Would book again!

Rooms were recently remodeled and looked great at first glimpse, however, over our weeklong stay, we noticed a few things about our room that looked to be cheaply or terribly remodeled. Light fixtures were almost hanging out of the ceiling next to the entrance, there was a huge spot of patchwork done behind our toilet, but no paint done over it, outlets installed upside down, caulk stuck to the inside of the bathtub, windows that do not even open they are caulked shut. Our fridge also froze everything no matter what we said it to, the TV remote was falling apart with us barely even touching it. When we first entered our room, I also noticed that they did not replace the bedding. Our sheets, and the comforter were dirty with what looked to be coffee. The shower curtain was made of cloth and flooded the bathroom anytime anyone would shower, I had to lay towels on the floor to ensure that we didn’t flood. The staff was very nice and happy to replace the bedding and towels for us.

Room was clean and spacious. Air Conditioner was extremely noisy. When it came on, it sounded like a diesel truck. There is no sound proofing in the room or walls. Every conversation outside the room or next door reverberated through the room. Couldn't fall asleep until almost 2 AM

Super noisy location. We could hear the people above us yelling at 3am. Was conveniently located near highways and a Starbucks. Many food options nearby. Staff was poor. We had two beds and housekeeping only made one 3 out of 4 days of our stay. Left trash. Toilet paper holder broken and ignored. No water available due to a broken water machine. Just very poorly run.

I was annoyed that when I arrived around 11pm to check in the lobby door was locked and the "ring for assistance" button didn't work. Luckily the attendant showed up before I was waiting outside for too long. On the second night my room key didn't work and again no one was in the lobby and I had to wait to get the key fixed.

I had reserved two rooms April 4th through the 7th. Ivan checked us in and was very friendly and personable. Informed us all of the amenities that the Hotel offered. I had only one issue my family in the other room did not have an additional locking mechanism on the door. When we checked out Nicholas also was very friendly. I have already booked my room in May.

I've stayed at this hotel (La Quinta San Diego - Miramar) for 3 nights from September 1st to September 4th this year ( 2024 )and, to this day, almost 3 months later, I still have not received a refund of the $100.00 deposit charged to my credit card when I checked in. If you don't want to be mistreated by rude and grumpy staff who hang up the phone in your face and who don't respond to any emails when you ask for them to fix your problem, stay far away from this hotel. There are definitely nicer options to stay in San Diego! A good way to tarnish the image and reputation of the Wyndham brand

We stayed at La Quinta while our house was being worked on. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. From house keeping to the staff in the front desk, everyone was so friendly. It made our stay there so much less stressful. The hotel is clean and it was just renovated. There is access to restaurants and stores close by. I would recommend La Quinta Miramar to anyone. Thank you Ivan for being so accommodating and friendly to us, you deserve a raise!!!

Great price for what you get. If you are sensitive to freeway noise, I would avoid this hotel. Otherwise, if you just need a place to sleep, this does this job, and the rooms are definitely nicer and newer than other options in this price point.

This hotel was located right off the freeway next to a starbucks, gas station, and a couple a restaurants so it's in a super convenient location. Quiet, clean, and safe which is more than I can say for some higher end hotels downtown. The parking was free also which is a rarity. I would say this a is great hotel when compared to similar options. Only issue was that my room had no remote to the TV. I went to the front desk only to get a broken remote. Went back again to get a remote that only controlled Netflix (no power, no volume, no channels, etc.). I came to rest. No get my steps in. But that was a relatively minor thing.

The breakfast was horrible, free breakfast was one of the reasons I stayed here and all they had was toast and some cereal. The room was overall clean. I hated how I could hear everything happing right outside my door and have the heavy freeway noise keep me up all night.

The so-called breakfast was Eggo waffles and frozen French toast. No eggs or meat. Just cereal and juices...Kinda cheap for what I paid for the room...Aesthetically, the decor was GREAT. Comfortable and clean rooms...I would suggest upping your breakfast game...

While the staff was very friendly, I am afraid the positives end there. We were disappointed to get into our room and see that it was dirty. We were tired from our trip and didn't want to have to go back to ask for another room. Upon laying down, the beds made a loud metal grinding/creaking noise that was sleep disruptive whenever we shifted at night. In the morning, we went to get breakfast and were met with a very limited spread. There weren't enough options to even call it breakfast. Again, thankful for the staff but I will not be returning nor recommending this hotel to anyone.

Convenient location for our trip. Room very large and clean. Breakfast choices very limited to waffles, french toast and hard boiled eggs. Food area very small and really tight for breakfast. Pool nice but not open til 10am and no bathrooms available. It worked for us but others may find it not the right choice.
