This is one of the best places to stay in San Diego near the convention center. The hotel is amazing. It has everything you need. It is clean. It is quiet. It has a great bar and multiple dining options. The pool and the upstairs athletic Court and outdoor movies are bonuses. The service when you check in is warm and friendly. Jazzy was the best. She was kind and accommodating, and even explained some of the other services and options to enjoy in San Diego, such as Seaport Village, a bay cruise, bike rental rentals and more. The hotel is completely walkable to the gaslamp district little Italy, and more not to mention if you need an Uber or Lyft, they are easily available and affordable our room was clean and quiet. Again, can’t say enough good things about this hotel.

Love the location and convenience of this hotel! It has great amenities, close to shops and restaurants, clean and nice pool/gym. Only downside… parking is expensive and only 1 elevator to the garage was working, making for long waits. But we will definitely stay here again!

Our stay there was great. From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed. The front desk attendant Alfredo was amazing and so hospitable. Our bellman was also very welcoming and just wanted to make our stay the best experience. We went for a staycation and truly enjoyed ourselves. My kids felt welcomed and enjoyed themselves. We picked this location because of the pickleball courts. The only negative thing I have to say is that the price of parking fluctuates depending on how busy downtown is going to be. I think a flat rate for guest would work best and leave no surprises. Also the pool area tends to get very windy, so take a purse or bag for your items or they will fly everywhere.

Great location to walk to The Shell to see a concert. Had a view room which was nice. Extremely busy when we were there and unfortunately the adult pool was closed for renovations which would have been nice to know in advance. Need more seating and umbrellas in main pool area. Bar/food service was very slow and they said they were short on staff. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Pool staff seemed very stressed.

Please be aware of hidden fees that they charge you at checkout. There was only 1/2 elevators working going to the parking garage. We waited so long every time we had to get our car. Parking is $45/night or $60/night for valet. For the price of the stay, parking should be included along with the movie theater on the 4th floor. The rooms need to be remodeled to match the lobby and other areas of the hotel. The view is gorgeous. The staff is friendly. I would stay somewhere else in the future and get more out of my money and still be able to enjoy the beautiful city of San Diego.

The location was wonderful. Our room was quiet, clean, and had a lovely view of both city and water. The pool/ hot tub area was clean and spacious. Since the hotel caters more to the mature and business travelers, we were able to enjoy the amenities without being overwhelmed by young children.

This hotel used to be our destination every summer or spring break. It used to be our favorite but the place is dirty now, finger prints everywhere and the rooms are not clean enough specially the bathrooms. We found multiple people hair all around. They changed our room and the second one was with hair too. The room amenities need a lot of attention. We spent around $1k for a weekend and it was not worthy. For that price we are making the decision to go somewhere else.

We celebrated our 30th Anniversary at the Manchester Grand and booked a corner room; the view was outstanding and the room was large and comfortable. Angel at the check in desk was extremely helpful and provided excellent customer service. Highly recommend staying here if you are in San Diego.

The room was a little less than I expected based on the description. It did have a fantastic view of the water, but the room itself didn’t seem worth the price. It was only that view which really was obscured by a sofa and lots of other heavy furniture, so it was in consequential, unless you walked over and looked out.

4.5 stars. The 0.5 star deduction is due to one particular front desk personnel's rude behavior upon checking out on 8/17/25 morning. She was slurping a starbuck ice coffee intermittently while talking and then set the drink right in front of me when she had to type. She scowled at my daughter and me from time to time and gave short answers in an annoyed tone to everything I said. At first I thought I was just being oversensitive, but after we left the hotel my daughter also mentioned that the front desk rep seemed rude. I forgot to check her name tag since I was shocked by her behavior. I also told this front desk staff that free breakfast was included in both of my room rates. But later that morning I received an invoice from Hyatt, which includes $160 breakfast fee. I had to call Hyatt back to get that breakfast fee off my bill. All the other Hyatt staff I met during my San Diego trip were very courteous, especially Lauren (of the front desk) when I checked in. She was very considerate and offered to put both rooms on the same floor level. She also reminded me to let the restaurant hostess know that free breakfast was included in both room rates to avoid unnecessary extra charges. She gave a very detailed description of the hotel's amenities and clear instructions on how to get to our rooms. We stayed in double queen bed rooms with a view of the bay on the left side and a city view on the right side. Both rooms were spacious and clean, but the bathroom counters were slig

Check-in took over 30 minutes of waiting in line. Drinks at the Top took 30 minutes. Waiting for elevator each time. Way understaffed in check-in, bartending, valet. Staff that IS present works hard but they can’t keep up. Room view was terrible. EVERY other room has either a city or harbor view. We literally looked onto a skylight. Advertisements in spots for an adult pool - does NOT exist. Only one pool and two hot tubs which are so awkwardly skinny that you are playing footsie the whole time. Great location but not worth the price.

The Bell service and Valet need an overhaul. I mean One night we pulled in and waited for like 10 mins and watched the valet men and women take on other cars and just ignore my family, we had to just leave the vehicle parked with the keys in it to make it to our dinner plans. The morning of checkout the bell man literally left our luggage cart while we were waiting on our car for us to move and load ourselves. The valet pulled up and locked the car and would not greet us or wait for us to get into the vehicle. So we basically had to load up our own car and then go back to the valet desk to request our keys to let my family into the vehicle since the doors were locked. For what we pay for it was a joke of service.

The Manchester Grand Hyatt is our go to hotel in San Diego due to its convenient location by the Seaport Village and many restaurants and shops. We have stayed there several times and always enjoy the scenic views from our room and the hospitality of the hotel staff. The breakfast buffet has a large variety of offerings including an omelette station. The MarketOne Cafe downstairs has many items including delicious pastries and other food and drink items. It is always a great experience to stay at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego.

Stayed for 2 nights in the King Suite. The room was huge, clean, and with a nice view of the Bay. Parking was very convenient but needs more EV chargers. Breakfast buffet at Seaview was one of the better breakfasts we've had at hotels, with a good selection of hot and cold foods, made to order omelettes and good pastries. Close walk to Petco Park. Recommended.

The pool was too hot (it’s heated) and the adult pool area isn’t open yet. Other than that it was GREAT! They had a dj at the pool on Saturday. Room service was good the chicken tenders and turkey club were so yummy. The room and views outstanding and comes with some complimentary activities too
