Wow what an amazing find this place was! This was the second part of our family vacation and we were looking for something close enough to the beach we didn’t have to drive and fight for parking. We were on the 3rd floor and had stunning views of the ocean, had our own balcony and the room was perfect! Such cute decor and so clean. The bed was comfy which is super important to me. The breakfast buffet was great! They actually had bacon…. For those of us who do not eat sausage this was a big win! The staff was very friendly. Very close to everything. Walking distance to shops and food. The pool is heated and they also have a nice hot tub. If you’re staying in the area you must try this place….. you won’t regret it!

Had a wonderful experience at this beach front hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. The entire property, especially my room was very clean and welcoming. Got to enjoy the pool area which had everything needed to relax and enjoy the ocean view. Can't beat the location with close proximity to everything you might want to enjoy on Mission Beach. There seemed to be plenty of underground parking which could be too tight for a long vehicle. Would definitely recommend this property as a great value compared to others I stayed at in the area.

Normally our favorite place to stay but not this time. Got a King standard on Expedia, email from Ocean Park stated King Partial View so called to request our favorite rm. On Sunday arrival was told by unfriendly desk gal they were booked & got a room on 1st floor, our bedroom wall had lobby bathrooms, office and kitchen buffet on other side. With all the noise, smells & loud bar next door, did not sleep well. And the Jacuzzi was FILTHY! Very few people so NOT booked! Don’t ever take room 114! At least they are right next to the beach but I'll look for somewhere else.

Floors needed to be cleaned in the room they were sandy and sticky. Carpets in hall needed deep cleaning also. Bed was comfy. Need to step up coffee game. No creamer ….

The location was good. The room itself was cute and clean. The common areas ( hallway, breakfast areas, elevators are in need of some care and deep cleaning). Due to the hot tub and pool being overrun with very young children, we were unable to enjoy those areas.

San Diego is my happy place, and this place is the perfect place fits the vibe! The rooms are modern and updated and the hotel is brightly colored and inviting, and don’t get me started on the staff! They were the most friendly, helpful, and informative staff I’ve ever encountered. Not to mention they serve drinks at the front desk! 10/10 if you’re looking for a place directly on the beach, chill vibe, but still want to be a step away from the action.

Perfect ocean front hotel. Staff was great, rooms were on the smaller side, but space utilized well so you don't even notice. On the weekend (summer time), the surrounding areas were busy, lot of people out enjoying the beach. I will 100% be coming back to this hotel for my next stay in San Diego. Only one small complaint was a street performer who decided to set up on the boardwalk right in front of my room, started singing on Saturday and Sunday morning a little early, waking us up, but he did have a soothing voice, so we couldn't complain (but it did make it difficult to sleep in if you wanted to)

Overall the hotel is great. Clean and right in the heart of Pacific Beach. Here are my complaints..staff is not that friendly except the man that helped us change rooms. ( sorry forgot his name) upon check in we got no directions ..we had to ask where an elevator was to get to our room. Another interaction was asking where the laundry room was. I just got a point to go that way. It was further than expected. FYI laundry room had no soap to buy or a coin machine . So if you’re not needing that warm fuzzy welcome it’s fine. Only other problem we had was our first night the bed was the worst sleep ever.( room 204) we changed rooms to 203 and the bed was way better. Breakfast is good and will fill you up until lunch or dinner. Don’t get me wrong I would stay there again.

I asked for a room that will not face a wall since I am claustrophobic. The receptionist mage a big deal about giving larger room for me to accommodate but it was the worst room I ever had. It was facing a neighbor room right across with no privacy. Only choice was to have the window shade down always. Had to go down again to switch room. Other than that, I like the stay. Used the hotel mostly to sleep and to eat breakfast. Was out most of time. Location was good.

We were put in the back of the building in the alley - even though I had booked a Ocean View (through a third party) - but instead we looked at the roof top of a run down green building. We were woke up every morning around 5am to the garbage trucks dumping bottles due to the bars. People were walking through the alley at 230-300 loud and obnoxious. If you are going to put someone in the alley they shouldn't have to pay as much as we did.

Loved our stay at Ocean Park Inn in Pacific Beach. Our beach-themed room was clean and roomy and located on the ground level. We had a nice patio with views of the boardwalk and the ocean. I would suggest requesting a 3rd (top) floor room to avoid noise from upstairs neighbors since we had a bad experience with the lady directly above us who started walking/stomping around her room in high heels. This happened all 4 mornings of our stay. Other than a noisy upstairs neighbor, we loved our room, the comfy bed, the free morning breakfast, the hot tub and the ocean front location!

The beach front location was so convenient. The sliding doors from my room out onto the pool area was so awesome. The shower off area just inside the pool area, accessed from the beach side was so useful to clean the sand off. The only two complaints I have are the lack of microwave in the room, and the rooms were very noisy. I could hear the breakfast and lobby area from inside my room all night long. I was woken up throughout the night, and definitely was up by 0630.

If you want homeless people camped outside your $600 balcony staring directly in to your room so you can\'t even enjoy the ocean view this is the hotel for you! If you want to be harassed by security at 7pm for carrying luggage to your room then this is the hotel for you! Do I look homeless to you and two of you are running up to me rudely asking for my key card in an aggressive manner for no reason whatsoever. Disgusting way to treat a guest. The Wifi is slow and unreliable, there is an ethernet port in the room which does not work. The front desk seems to think that because they can connect to it in the lobby that it\'s the same everywhere in the hotel. The hotel is surrounded by bars so there will be loud music and drunk people yelling until the early hours of the morning guaranteed. They charge you premium hotel prices but can\'t even provide complimentary WATER in the rooms...I\'ve stayed in motels that provide water for gods sake. I wasn\'t even going to mention most of this stuff but the security incident made me want to pack my stuff and leave immediately, imagine paying $600 a night to be accused of being homeless. This place is absolutely not worth the money. If you do decide to stay here make sure you\'re carrying a sign around your neck that says "I\'m not homeless" unless you want to be harassed by security. I\'ve stayed in 100\'s of hotels in all parts of America and the world and never ONCE had that happen.

Great manager Jonathan. Amazing staff always working very professional polite and helpful. Secure and safe. Very comfy bed. Breakfast and coffee good and well cleaned and prepared by Patty. The beach is right there. Lots of food and shopping. Yes it’s a night life place but our sleep was not disturbed. I will be back.
Great manager Jonathan. Amazing staff always working very professional polite and helpful. Secure and safe. Very comfy bed. Breakfast and coffee good and well cleaned and prepared by Patty. The beach is right there. Lots of food and shopping. Yes it’s a night life place but our sleep was not disturbed. I will be back.

Nice place but service was not that great. We ended up on the Hotels.com wing where we were next to the maintenance room...we were always walking around their carts. Also never cleaned our room during the two days...they forgot.

I liked everything about the Ocean Park Inn. We were warmly welcomed by the staff when we checked in. We asked about a place to get a Philly cheesesteak and when we were getting ready to walk out to find a place they had looked up a family owned place within walking distance. Walking distance applies to pretty much everything. The Ocean Park Inn is located very centrally in PB and it was super easy to get around. The room was like in the pictures and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was clean and had a detachable shower head which is uncommon in the U.S. so that was nice. The included breakfast was better than expected with bacon, sausages, scrambled eggs, hashbrown patties as well as cereal, bread, youghurt and the standard waffle making station. We got upgraded to a partial ocean view room and could easily see the waves from our balcony. If you are not into the PB party vibe, I warmly recommend the Alehouse right across the street from the Ocean Park Inn - good food, nice atmosphere, and always a game on their tvs but never too crowded (the three times we were there). I will gladly stay at the Ocean Park Inn again and felt it was a good value and great base for our San Diego visit.

We extended a stay at Ocean Park Inn as the facility was really perfect. The staff was excellent (shout out to Manny and she young lady who checked us out and got my daughters sunglasses and iPod that she left behind sent home to us). Everyone was friendly, helpful and the facility clean and modern. Definitely recommend the ocean view king room. :)

The hotel is nice overall. You can’t beat the location in Pacific Beach, it’s near everything. My feedback would be for the hotel to leave water out for guests. We stayed at some other hotels in San Diego and it was nice that they’d leave complimentary iced water out. Not sure why they’re charging for water bottles in the room either. Additionally, the front desk staff was not friendly. The cleaning staff was great though.

The staff did an amazing job keeping the hotel and our room clean on a daily basis. There are free chairs and towels you can check out from the front desk. Free breakfast items included eggs, bacon, sausage, hashbrowns, cereals, bagels and muffins. We enjoyed our stay. There were a handful of homeless nearby but we had no issues with them. Great views of the ocean, easy walk to the beach and there are plenty of nearby restaurants, 7-11, CVS, etc.

This was a nice little hotel, but it’s location in Pacific Beach is surrounded by sports bars and loud noisy clubs. One night the pounding music didn’t stop until 1am. We would have given it a much higher review if it was located someplace quieter.

The location of this hotel on the board walk is excellent. Friendly staff and friendly locals. The Pacific beach area has such a unique and special vibe about it. The room was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. The staff were friendly. The only draw back was the free breakfast. It was not good and the coffee was horrible. There are many options near by for good coffee and breakfast.

Wow what an amazing find this place was! This was the second part of our family vacation and we were looking for something close enough to the beach we didn’t have to drive and fight for parking. We were on the 3rd floor and had stunning views of the ocean, had our own balcony and the room was perfect! Such cute decor and so clean. The bed was comfy which is super important to me. The breakfast buffet was great! They actually had bacon…. For those of us who do not eat sausage this was a big win! The staff was very friendly. Very close to everything. Walking distance to shops and food. The pool is heated and they also have a nice hot tub. If you’re staying in the area you must try this place….. you won’t regret it!

Hotel was great, balcony over looked the ocean, but they could work on the breakfast offering. Very lack luster and hot food became watery due to less than stellar steam tray heating. A little more thought and effort in food offering would have been greatly appreciated.

Great location! Right next to the beach and within walking distance of restaurants, shops and stores. The free breakfast is a nice start to the morning. The underground parking garage is a tight squeeze but safe. Rooms are updated too. Will definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay here. We had a oceanfront room with a patio on the first floor. We loved the patio, the security of sitting out there with a glass partition, overlooking the ocean. The rooms are well designed, light and bright. The bathroom is spacious with plenty of room for 2 people. Our only complaint is that I booked and paid for a king-sized bed via the Hotels.com app; we did not get the king bed. Expedia owns the app and seems to send erroneous information to the hotels about bookings. We’ve had an Expedia-furnished glitch before this week. All in all, we really enjoyed it.
