When we checked into our room the carpet was wet, like it had recently been shampooed (they confirmed that it was). I dialed zero and the operator told us they were sold out and couldn't move us to another room, but that they will bring us an industrial fan to help dry the carpet. While waiting for the fan, my wife went down to the front desk. The front desk clerk (not the same person as the phone operator) found us another room. It had also been recently shampooed but was considerably dryer than the first room. Although I certainly appreciate her trying to help us, we won't stay here again. The $50 a night for parking was the icing on the cake. With that said, the views of the marina are excellent.

The place itself was lovely—clean, stylish, and comfortable. The staff were friendly, and the overall vibe was relaxing. It had all the makings of a great getaway. But the extra costs really added up. Parking alone was $50 per night, and then there were resort fees that felt excessive for what was actually offered. It’s frustrating when the final bill ends up way higher than expected, especially when those fees aren’t clearly outlined upfront. Thankfully, Christy at the front desk was incredibly helpful and managed to get us a $65 hotel credit, which softened the blow a bit. Her kindness and professionalism definitely stood out.

My wife and I stood at this property for five days, four nights (Tues-Sat) and the room was clean. Hotel service was exceptional and had many dining options. It is quite the walk from most attractions, but ride-share apps can get you to most places in 15-20 minutes. We rented a car and were charged $50/night, but plenty of spaces. Pool and fitness centers were very clean and well kept. Would stay at again!

The only negative I saw from this hotel was on the weekends waiting for an elevator in the one tower. They only have two elevators so sometimes there’s a line otherwise this place is completely awesome and no issues. I loved it.

This was the ocean vibe I was looking for. You can not get a better experience on the harbor. This had fire pits everywhere, heated pools one was adult only (double thumbs up). Access to the marina with free paddle boarding, kayak and Jetski rentals. The restaurants had great food and there's plenty of nearby choices for more. the new renovated rooms were very clean very modern. MY only dislike was the free EV charging experience. I was grateful they had it, but it really needs to be monitored. There was a few cars charging and had finished their charging and just sat on the chargers for DAYS! This should be in the Valet area and have the valets move the cars off the charger when completed.

Overall stay was fine. I needed access to a microwave and there was a room with 24hr availability on the main floor. Room wasclean and bed was comfy. Nice Harbor view. Was upset to find out the airport shuttle wasn't available for an early morning flight and I had to pay for an Uber. Apparently an airport hotel doesn't accomodate for the 620am flights. And of course you need to be at the airport 2 hours early. I paid extra for the convenience and not having to use an uber and ended up needing one anyway. I would have stayed further away for less money and Uber from there. $23.00 for 0.7 miles!

The room was spotless. I loved the location and it was safe and beautiful for walking my dog even at night. Living in SD & Harbor Island is a wonderful place to be . I do think the fee of $150 for a pet should be refunded if the guest has not ruined anything or at least 1/2. Don't tell me that sanitizing because of a dog or other animal staying in the room costs the hotel $150. I doubt you do anything more and cleaning materials are less than $20 including labor and at the most we are talking $60-$70 of expense. Highway robbery....

Beautiful Hotel just had an issue with are carpet by the side of the air conditioner it was very soaked. Luckily we were only there one night cause they didn’t come look at it till we checked out even after we called to let them know and the house cleaning supervisor came in and looked at it and reported it also.

Good peaceful location if you're try to remain in the area. The walking trail along marina will lead to parks and other areas to fish and just enjoy the water. Hotel was very clean and staff was always helpful

I want to express all my anger and emotions after unpleasant experiences in your hotel. We came to spend the weekend with my family and the day we returned I found a lot of bites on my body. My whole bottom part is covered with bed bugs bites. It’s unacceptable. It became our small tradition to spend one weekend during the summer in your hotel. But not anymore. And I insist on compensation for this unpleasant event.

First of all, I love Sheraton beds. I get the deepest sleep! I brought my family here for the Big Bay Boom. We had a perfect view of the bay and a spacious balcony. Our room had the bare minimum and it was alright. A lot of room for improvement, for sure. The wallpaper in our bathroom was starting to peel off. There were visible dust bunnies on the air vents. The carpet needs some deep cleaning because they turned my husband’s bright white socks grey. The worst part of the experience was that the card reader on the way out of the parking lot was broken. My husband reported it to the front desk because we were already causing traffic and the staff acted like it was a normal occurrence. The hotel shuttle driver had to hold the bar open so the cars could exit out. Please do better. Other than that, I’m still coming back for the beds.

This sad hotel is in desperate need of a renovation. Hallways are old and walls and doors are pretty beat up. The room itself is also really old and dated. Markings on walls and in the bathroom as well. Found some nuts on the floor which one could only assume that they did not properly clean the room for us/vacuum prior to our arrival. Easy check-in though and airport shuttle was super convenient and a breeze.

They switched our room before arriving and called it an upgrade but it didn’t feel like it since the room is smaller than what we paid for. The carpet was wet between the beds and had to keep putting a towel on the floor to dry it. The front desk staff was unfriendly, hard to get an hold of someone after on the phone or text message and the front desk didn’t provide us any maps, or any information about our stay. Overall okay hotel but I wouldn’t come back due to how much negativity we felt as we arrive.

The updated Marina tower lobby and our room were nice. However, when we booked the room via hotes.com, the description was not clear. It stated bay view, but it was partial bay view across the road over the parking lot. We asked for the room change but they were booked for the first night. We got moved on the next day and received complementary $50 room credit. If not for that, our stay would have been pleasant. Perhaps description of the room to be updated as partial bay view.

We booked the Sheraton for our wedding night. We had booked an upgraded room with a King bed a few months in advance. When we arrived to the hotel, they told us that the only room they had available was one with two Queen beds. The room had a strong smell of food, like someone had eaten in there recently and the air conditioner was not pleasant to use because every time we turned it on it made a loud squeaking sound. The hotel itself is really nice, but this was a disappointing experience.

I checked into the hotel at 4:15 pm and my room was not ready. I never received a message that my room was ready. I went back to reception at 5:20pm and there was the longest line and I asked one of the employees if I needed to wait on that huge line to get my key, and she answered YES! She did suggest to speak to the Manager which I did…I still thought it was strange that I had to go so far as to speak to the manager just to get my key when I had already checked in. The Manager was sweet, but I had to explain why I was skipping the line and she almost did deny me, not until I said I have not received a message about the room and when she checked, it did say it was ready. I ended up getting the room at 5:40 pm. I did love the shuttle service to the airport the hotel provides, definitely great location if one has an early flight from San Diego. For Beer lovers, there is a Brewery in the premises, thought it was cool.

I checked in normal. The desk clerk observed i had a limp and asked what happed. I told him i just had stem cell injections in my knees and back. He wished me a speedy recovery and proceeded to upgrade me so i didn't have to walk so far. Which was very helpful, as i was originally in a different tower several blocks over.

Very dissapointed with the service. After paying so much money I thought I would get a better experience at the Sheraton hotel. Negative. The staff doesn’t care. We kept calling to get our luggage and they wouldn’t answer took way too long. Longer than 10 minutes! In that case we would’ve carried it ourselves. We have 2 kids that required stuff. And the front desk wouldn’t answer after a while.

When we checked in, they told us they no longer had a double queen room. My tee age kids were forced to sleep on a pullout couch. Also, they “accidentally” double charged us not realizing the hotel was already paid for. They took nearly eight hundred dollars out of my account which was going to be used for our trip. This completely ruined our vacation. Also, the manager told me he would be “comping” our trip but yet I’m still being charged. I have been lied to the entire time.

My friend and I stayed at the Sheraton San Diego for a birthday weekend—our first time in the city. We appreciated the free airport shuttle and were excited to check in, but our experience quickly went downhill. The front desk agent we first spoke to was cold and unhelpful, telling us we’d need to wait two hours for a room. Even basic questions about parking were met with short, dismissive answers. An hour later, another staff member told us our room was ready and said it was an “upgrade,” but it was located in the Lanai building—far from the main tower, hard to find, and lacking privacy. Later that night, we returned to the front desk and met Michael Powell and Richard Estrada, who completely changed our experience. They were kind, compassionate, and genuinely wanted us to enjoy our stay. Richard moved us to a nicer room in the main tower, and Michael waived our first night’s resort fee and gave us a resort credit for my friend’s birthday. Pros: Free airport shuttle, great main tower room, outstanding service from Michael and Richard. Cons: Poor first impression, $36/night resort fee, $50/night parking, underwhelming Lanai room. Overall, we appreciated the excellent service from Michael and Richard, but the overall value and inconsistent experience mean we likely wouldn’t book again.

When I checked in Christy did an excellent job explaining the resort, surrounding areas and things to do. Very Helpful. Later that day I needed to find and link my bonvoy account. The property was very nice. Staff was extremely helpful and kind. The location’s restaurant selection was limited and so we’re walking options. However, the few walking options were very scenic. Overall, I would recommend this location to anyone looking for a nice base to visit San Diego from.

This hotel is located conveniently near the airport and made a great base of operations to see San Diego. There isn’t a lot within walking distance, so ride share was important, but, it’s a beautiful hotel with a great location and located right on the marina. Worked perfect for our vacation. We were also able to pay a little extra for late checkout and were able to spend the last day relaxing by the pool before our flight. Worth every penny.

Didn’t know the property was close to airport and could hear sound every few minutes especially at night. The Marina view rooms were small and 2-3 stories so what you see is boats lined up. Very disappointed with property, we left earlier than 7 days , since we couldn’t sleep well. If you looking for peace and quiet, this is not the place to go.

We really enjoyed that there were several indoor and outdoor spaces to meet up with others and an adult only pool choice. We loved the lanai view over the marina, the fire pits at night and the live salsa music on Th. Although the food was very tasty, the menus seemed limited. On the downside the corn hole plunking noises were a bit annoying and our AC unit made a clunking noise every time it turned on and off.

The hotel itself was great, as was the desk, staff, and the entire check-in experience. The service staff at the restaurants were absolutely horrible. I would recommend staying at the hotel, but avoiding all of the restaurants.

Honest opinion, I did the Valet for 3 days and it was a mess. They couldnt find my truck. Also the restuarants were not that great. Food was bland. Over all its ok.

Hotel not as described on hotels.com; we were placed in a completely different building, FAR from any of the pictured/featured amenities, with no instruction/assistance how to get to the main hotel with the restaurants and nice pool. There was a small pool outside this building, but nothing like what is advertised- which is why we chose this hotel. Also, the bathroom need to be redone- mold and rust everywhere. The hallway carpets so dirty and hallways/lobby very hot. We’re really disappointed in the bait and switch, completely ruined our plans to enjoy a pool day with family, and we went somewhere else in San Diego instead.

The room and hallway smelled and we had no balcony. The room was extremely outdated and way over priced for the room we got. Plus parking for $110 for two days after paying $460 for two nights in an old room was not worth it.
