My kids had fun at the pool and slide. One day they did get everyone out of the pool because someone decided to defecate in the pool, but the staff was pretty quick to get it cleaned up. The downside was that we couldn’t use the pool until the following day.

The Town and Country is a great stay in San Diego. It is centrally located to and close to beaches, Sea World, Petco Park and the San Diego Zoo. The waterslide is so fun for all ages and the huge pool is relaxing. We spent ao much time in the hot tub and had a cabana with amazing service. I highly suggest this hotel and is certainly our families favorite place to stay.

This resort was outstanding. The areas we visited were nicely remodeled and renovated. The pool is great especially for kids even though it was closed for the first hour we arrived due to an accident. We were pleasantly upgraded to the Terrace suite which was amazing this resort has it all, especially if you are traveling with a family. Would go here again without a doubt.

The wait to check in was 45 minutes. The staff that checked us in was annoyed and unapologetic. The pizza from the market was burnt and so hard that the crust came off when my son tried to pick it up. He wouldn't eat it - he's 10 and will eat almost anything. When we were leaving, the same staff member that checked us in was walking in while we were walking out laden with luggage pushed past us though the door and didn't wait for us to fully exit the building. The pool area is really cool though and it's very kid friendly. Not enough to get me to come back though.

35 minute check in line. Key card wouldn’t open the parking garage. Echo in the rooms (hard floors no carpet), I could hear the people in the room next door talking because the room had one of those old access doors that connect rooms, luckily besides an hour of 🇮🇳 Bollywood music they were quiet. The rooms had balcony and good resort views. Beautiful pools. Poor signage for parking etc. I saw every car turn in the wrong driveway because the sign was so small (comical) It’s a big resort with a lot to do. Just minor changes would improve the experience. Overall not bad for a Hotel Circle hotel. If the price was right I might come back. Free parking in this area is a bonus. Most places are charging ~$30. If you got kids the pool is a big draw.

I would never stay here again. It’s a total party hotel- so if that’s your vibe, then you may love it. At one point, the spa had 44 people in it. 44! And the capacity is 19. There’s literally no one walking around enforcing rules, manning the pool, or capacity limits. Such a nightmare. We saw one lifeguard there running the slide. An entire softball team jumped into the pool in their disgusting uniforms and no one said a thing. They swam like that for hours. We specifically stayed OUT of the pool because of that. There’s was a DJ at night by the pool when we went, so if you have littles and a pool facing room, good luck getting them to sleep. They sell day passes to the pool, which is ridiculous- and also why everything was so chaotic. Hotel guests are mixed in with party-goers and there’s just no peace at that pool. We tried to eat at the advertised sports bar on site, and it was a solid 4/10. Cold food- literally. Oh and our room had no hot water for a while. That was fun. I have never written a review on here before but for young families who want a little getaway, STAY CLEAR of this place. We really wish we would have booked the Holiday Inn Mission Valley. That place is amazing, but they didn’t have any availability

It has been one issue after another. Very disappointed. From the room being full of dog hair and dirt on the floor when we checked in, to very dusty air filter for the A/C, to 3am partying/throwing up next door preventing our family from being able to sleep. Then the pool gets closed due to glass and two children cutting their feet so our whole trip now is over. Hotels.com did a poor job advocating on our behalf For a refund.

when you arrive, it's wonderful BUT, I had a huge brown cockroach crawling around my room and i called the front desk a few times as it was getting later and time for bed and NO ONE came to look for it or kill or get rid of it. I stayed at this hotel before many times in the past when I was much younger and before I had expedia... I would rather have received my money back for the entire stay

I picked this resort thinking that was going to be clean and with a nice clean room. error. The room was not clean, had a bad odor like moldy or humid. I had to stay because my son had surgery and I did not have time or will to dispute anything.

The room was not sufficiently cleaned. Nightstands & table had food residue left on it. There was no blanket or comforter on the bed. When one was given to me. It didn’t appear to be clean & there was hair on it. The property itself was very nice.

I booked the Marco Polo but wasn’t given that room. When we walked out the room, the smell of weed was pungent. The pool was milky looking and there was a beach chair in there. The beach chairs were dirty. The towels at the pools were not in stock. The pool area could be cleaner. The bathroom was outdated and small. The room was updated. There wasn’t much TV channels available. Some of our towels weren’t clean.

We stayed in the Regency tower and it was no where compared to the Palm tower we stayed in last year. Our room in the Regency tower was very small, almost felt claustrophobic. The AC fan only seem to work, because no cold air blew out no matter how low you put the thermostat. And the bathroom was very small. To use the toilet you had to pretty much walk into the bathtub to close the door. The pool and restaurants are always great. But because of the condition of our room, we ended up checking out a night early due to the uncomfortable temperature at night in the room.

We paid $900 for 2 nights, and it was not worth it. We were placed on the 7th floor with an elderly family member and a toddler, and only 1 elevator was working during a large dance competition — 30+ min wait times. Both rooms had broken AC, and after 3 visits, nothing was fixed. There were also spiders in the windows, and tools/maintenance in and out made it unsafe for our toddler. Parking is 0.5+ miles from most rooms, and no luggage caddy is provided unless you pay for full-service. When I asked to speak with a manager, she cut me off and said she’d just “reiterate what staff already told me” — without even letting me explain. The staff was kind, but no solutions were provided. On a previous business trip, my colleague’s room had mold. They accommodated a room change, but these issues seem recurring. Additionally, having an elderly family member on the 7th floor with no reliable elevator access was extremely difficult and could be dangerous. The hotel seemed unprepared for the large dance competition crowd, causing elevator backups and general chaos. The broken AC made the rooms uncomfortable in the San Diego heat, and the presence of spiders in the windows showed a lack of thorough cleaning. The parking situation was inconvenient, especially with luggage and small children, as no carts were available unless you pay extra. Overall, the experience felt neglected and unaccommodating for families or anyone needing extra care. I would not stay again or recommend this hotel.

Pros: Surrounding area has tons of food options. Hotel was clean. Rooms were a good size, except the restrooms, which are the size of a small closet and outdated. Cons: Check in was 4 room wasn't ready until 4:40. Overall grounds have 2 restrooms, with a total of only 3 stalls. One in the lobby area and one in a restaurant on the other side of the location. For the size and the amount of people, it should more than 3 stalls for men. Has a seating area near the main bar area with a couple of servers walking around taking orders. We sat there for about 2 1/2 hours, servers continuously passed by us and never asked if we wanted to order food. which would be fine, since we can doordash some food, however you aren't allowed to bring in any outside food and eat it in that entire area. Remotes for the TV's didn't work in both rooms we paid for. You can turn the TV on but couldn't change the channels. Overall not worth the money and wouldn't return.

Our stay was wonderful for the one night we stayed here! We booked with Expedia and got free parking and free early and late checkout, which was very convenient because it allowed us to have time to visit the pool facilities in the morning before we checked out! Room was very clean and comfy, and I liked how walkable and close in distant a lot of things were to the hotel. My only complaint is how thin the walls are, we came back to the room pretty late at night and turned on the tv at normal volume while getting ready for bed and received a noise complaint —never would I have guessed the walls were so thin that our room neighbors could hear the tv! As we were in bed we did make note of being able to hear the shuffling of footsteps from our upstairs neighbor as well as the snoring from our next door neighbor. Kind of crazy how much you can hear! Especially if you want to have a private conversation, you would have to whisper to keep people from hearing. Other than that, the stay was comfortable and relaxing in all. My only recommendation is figuring a way to soundproof the walls.

I loved my stay at the Town and Country, the only reason why I didn’t give 5 stars is because the air conditioning was not strong enough to keep the room cold. During the day it felt hot. It never passed the 75 degrees.

We came for a business trip but brought our toddler and chose this hotel mainly for her. The pool was a big deciding factor. For supposedly a newly renovated property, the main lobby was gorgeous and interesting. But the room, especially the bathroom, was horrendous. Chipping mirror, inch layer of settled dust on the bathroom air vent, horrible chipping bathtub… this needs major attention. The pool was closed on a couple of occasions, which we regretted. Main pain point though was no breakfast included. There is a restaurant on site where you could technically get breakfast but we were told it was expensive during check-in so didn’t bother exploring. Not convenient at all and not much of a resort vibe.

Our stay started out well with a very attentive, kind woman at the front desk. I reserved a room with a fire pit, but for some reason she did not have me in that room. Because there was one available, she made the room change (from the main tower to a ground floor room with a fire pit). She kept saying things like, "Are you sure you don't want to stay in the tower?" or, "If there is any problem let me know and a room change can be done." Just after entering our room, we noticed the joining room door was unlocked. It locks from the other side, so it required a key. Furthermore, it appeared that I could unlock the neighboring door. Security came with a key to lock the door and insisted all was well. By that time, we checked out the patio area. It was GREAT! But, the lock on the sliding door was broken. Literally, screws were coming out. So I called the kind woman at the front desk and she changed our room to the tower area. Our room was great...and quite a bit more updated than our ground floor room with the fire pit and faulty door locks. Our stay ended up being great.

I was really impressed with the service team. They are on point, they answered all my questions with a simple text. There’s so much to do on the property. From restaurants to lounging pool side, even a game of volleyball. The market was so convenient for a quick hot chocolate and a snack. My kids had a blast very family oriented we will definitely return

The place is 5star. The front desk Vivian doesn’t want yo give the upgrade. She said upgrade is available but with fee and as well of late check out. I got the upgrade bec expedia rep did a refund instead just to get my perks. She said to get late out i have to call them first before checking in

I booked this reservation, securing late check out. I paid more for this during check out and was the whole reason we booked - knowing that our daughter would be able to take a nap during this time the next day. We were told at checkout that this 'didnt show in our reservation' and that we would need to check if we could have late check out the morning of. We were not allowed late check out after asking the morning of, which then made us have to change all of our plans around. This shouldn't be an option at checkout if it is false and going to lead guests on.

They didn't honor the Expedia VIP upgrade. Also there was no day curtain that let light in but people couldn't see in, just a blackout curtain. I was on the 2nd floor and I could make eye contact with people outside. So I was in darkness all trip.

This is what I sent the property and they didn’t answer: I called your front office because the fridge wasn't working. They said adjust the temperature. Did not work. I have a baby & need to keep milk cool. The milk was mid . Neither cold or hot . Just warm . I had someone come drop off towels and had him check the fridge .he said he would be back and never came back. I've stayed in many resorts and the first thing they do is replace the mini fridge. No sense in any of these workers to keep the customer experience positive. I had breakfast one day at ARLO. Host in the front said 10-15 min wait... no problem.. when we finally get seated waiter seemed like she didn't want to work... it's a resort people travel to this area . Be more happy being at work and don't look like you just come to work to get paid. It's about professionalism that's why you get hired /experience working in this industry. We just asked for water... and a cup with straw for the baby. She said I'll be back. Leaves doesn't come back . Passes by our table and says o I forgot the straw . Leaves for another 10-15 min comes back and says I forgot the straw . Our food had been ordered but no sense of urgency. Keep in mind they made it seem like it was so busy and there was empty dinning tables every where. Third attempt to bring a straw ... nothing ... I had to call another waiter over . She was rude too but came back positive with a straw and said " how do you have a toddler cup with no straw " //longer review:

Really enjoyed our stay at this resort. The staff was really friendly and the resort was beautiful. The only negative thing would be that the parking garage is quite a walk to the hotel towers. The property feels like it has been renovated recently and it well cared for. The surrounding area is quick to freeway access. We tried walking a few places and I would not recommend it. While the distance seems manageable the city infrastructure and traffic are not pedestrian friendly, parking was $40 extra per day so factor that in a well.

Great property, I would def stay again. Cons are that breakfast is not included but paid for pretty good breakfast at their resteraunt and parking is hard to find in the evening. But other then that the pools are very nice and restraints are good, and I can walk to the shopping mall.

Overall the stay was good for our family. Our 6y.o.was a fan of the pool slide, note that she barely made it with her height, the threshold is 48". I liked the cocktails at the pool bar and the area around the pool, which is clean and green. The room might need renovation, the mattresses have lived their better life. As a good thing, there is a fridge in the room. We had a breakfast for an additional fee in Arlo restaurant on the property, however earlier in the week it was closed. Parking was nice and not too expensive as in some other hotels in the area.
