Sea Harbor Hotel - San Diego

Small pool, basic room. Nothing special but the area around us is great with the marina and restaurant's

Clean, super cozy bed and so convenient with friendly staff. Plus dog friendly. My only complaint is the bar across the street's music could be heard all night and it was loud! Bring earplugs!

I like that it is pet friendly and walking distance to the harbor, grounds were kept clean and room was good with a good size fridge

Nice hotel but the parking is a challenge. Very small lot with narrow spaces used by visitors and the employees. Great view from the window on the harbor side to see fireworks on the 4th. Phones don't work. Person working in the am is not friendly. Close to the bay with a few restaurants with good seafood.

The hotel is in a great location. Our refridgerator never worked even though they kept telling us they had reset it. There is only 1 ice machine on the property and you have to ask someone at the desk to get ice for you.

The room was clean and comfortable. There were some nicks on the walls, and the pool wasn't heated, but overall we were pleased. The free parking was the draw to check out this place.

Sorry to give such a mediocre review. The pictures do match the site. There was laundry hanging on the railing when we arrived.I had some safety concerns with the homeless living in the area. Parking was very limited and only had one entrance and one exit with cones blocking a lot of parking spaces. Walls are very thin. Beds were comfortable and the pillows were as well. No microwave in the room was inconvenient as well as the ice machine being behind the check in desk. I probably won’t stay again.

This was an okay place but not very handicap friendly unless you can get bottom floor. Stairs only no elevator or persons to carry your luggage.

Parking is tight and difficult late at night. Even street parking gets competitive. Imagine a small and tight parking lot with large SUVs and trucks throughout. Not really the fault of the hotel, they can't control who parks in their lot.

Good: Affordable rates and conveniently close to San Diego airport. Reserved a queen room but at check-in upon request was upgraded to 2 doubles for no extra charge. Clean room with hard floor, comfy beds. Small but clean bathroom with nice shower. In-room coffee (Keurig-style). Very close to (practically on) the waterfront. Not so good: No table or chairs in room (there was a small 'desk' below the TV and two unstable ottomans that were not usable as chairs). Uncomfortable bed pillows (too thick/high for me). Small bathroom sink with no shelf space/etc. for toiletries. Property was clean but looks old/dated, reminded me of a 60's motel. No elevator to upper floor. Parking lot a bit tight and may fill if hotel is fully booked (dont count on street parking, there were no available spots).

It looked clean but had a musty smell. Was conveniently located close to the airport after my flight was cancelled and I needed a place to sleep for one night. Area seemed fairly safe. Bed was clean and comfortable.

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at ! The stale smell made me sick , burned my nose, couldn't sleep at all . There was no Harbor view as it said on website , refrigerator was leaking water , hair everywhere , sheets stained ! Walls damaged , definitely want my money back !!!

Upon arrival I was given a room that was uninhabitable. The room had a strong smell of cigar smoke that burned my throat. I asked the Counter staff as well the maintenance person to come to the room. Both admitted that the room smelled strong smell of cigar and it burned their throats as well. I asked and was assigned another room that was better and did not have the smell of smoke.

Lovely place. Clean, great location, comfortable. Will definitely stay again

Stinky smell

The rooms are not well kept, the towels were dirty, there were hairs on the towels, bed, floor and they did not belong to me. Over all it was quiet but because of the dirtiness off the room I will not come back.

The service was average. The front desk person who checked us in wasn't super friendly or helpful. The room was not very clean, specifically the restroom. There were stains on the floor and strands of hair on the wall. They did offer ear plugs, helpful since there is a loud club across the street.

The only thing is the AC did not work properly and the bathroom had long black hair in the sink. Also you could see light coming through the gaps in the front door, and peeling paint.

My son’s bathroom had paint chipping on the ceiling above the tub and mold in the bathtub! My room wasn’t as bad !

I stayed here for a quick trip to town for a family event. The motel itself is an older property that has been revamped in a very cute, beachy style, and the exterior and décor are charming. Unfortunately, when I returned to my room after midnight (a ground-floor king kitchenette suite), the smell of mold and mildew inside the room was overwhelming. It was so strong that I had trouble breathing and ended up coughing so violently I was throwing up . Had I arrived earlier, I would have requested a different room or moved to another hotel altogether. This could be a really lovely place, but the mold/mildew odor issue definitely needs to be mitigated addressed. I got no sleep hma with the smell, but it made the room unusable for me.

The room was clean and pretty well laid out. The bathroom was a little on the small side, but I realize it is an older property. If I could add anything to the room it would be a small microwave, small dresser and a chair. There are plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance. Humidity was a bit of an issue, but probably to be expected that close to the ocean.

Great location by marina. Nice modest updated decor. However many things did not work/have power in my room- AC, bathroom fan and standing lamp.

Great location. Cute room. Wish it was a bit bigger in the bathroom sink and room in general. There was no chair to sit. Staff brought in a chair which wasn’t comfortable at all. Loved the access to a great walk along the bay. Many choices nearby as well. Will stay again if in the area in the future.

The location of this property is excellent!... easy walking distance to many restaurants and the harbor. The room was clean and comfortable. The beds were especially comfortable. The air conditioning was not working properly and I let the front desk know.. it needs a little updating up for the price and location. It's a good deal.

Paid extra for harbor view. There was no harbor view. Room was clean but dated .

Hate giving bad reviews. The BEDS in this place become a big lump & cause back ache. Have stayed here twice but time to look around⁉️

I checked into the room and within 20 minutes a large red larvae type of bug appeared in the bathroom, i grabbed my belongings to leave and tell the front desk and wasnt offered a different room or a solution, so i asked for a refund, this property also is more of a motel than it is a hotel, you can easily access the front doors from outside. they are not enclosed.

Desk staff was efficient and professional. Provided clear instructions and was friendly. Room as expected and very clean! Shower was pleasantly hot with great water pressure. We had a ground level room which had quite a bit of road noise from Scott street but felt safe. Plenty of places to eat within walking distance

Very friendly and efficient staff, clean and comfortable room in a great location near the marina in Point Loma. Plenty of dining and entertainment options nearby.

When we first got to the property the guy who checked us in was not very friendly. He didn't say hello, no welcome. Upon entering our room, it was a bit smelly, smelled old... the housekeepers did a good job though. Room was clean and presentable. After staying there for two nights, it was super noisy. I could hear everything throughout the night and into the day. However, they did have some good eating areas at walking distance and the housekeepers were very friendly with directions and welcoming.

Very cute place, great location, and excellent customer service. We left our ear buds in the room, and they mailed them to us right away. So nice!

We always stay here when we come to visit. The manager and staff are amazing, helpful and friendly. The accommodations are nice, comfortable bed and pillows and the rooms are always clean, we never have an issue. I love the location close to awesome food and great views. I highly recommend staying here you will not be disappointed.

Well, I texted the property regarding the issues but didn't hear back so... Here we go. Loud. Arrived the person checking us in appeared to be angry we were a late check in even though we contacted them to tell them. Our room had paint peeling off the walls, bugs were throughout but to be fair they are near the water and that is to be expected. Arrived 11:30ish and the club across the street was going strong And that didn't change. In the morning we were out near the back and the delivery trucks start at 6 am. Hope you're not tired because that crap goes on and on. While the parking was nice because they had it, it was clear the hotel wasn't full and we were punished I think for the late arrival in the back, noisy when we could have been given a room not in the loudest possible place. The bathroom tiny.. I mean T.I.N.Y. shower was weak at best and didn't mention the paint peeling? In the bathroom too. The people we encountered after check in were very nice, the ice machine is under guard. You want ice? Only at the front desk. It was weird. You have to give your ice bucket to the front desk to get any. Towels are as tiny as the bathroom . The club is loud parking is tight but nice that they have it in such a busy area. The look in the lobby is cute but mostly it's lipstick on a pig. They really do a nice job with texting you but honestly should have responded to our stay issues.

The room was fantastic! super clean, looked like it was recently remodeled. Location was great, right along the harbor walkway, with restaurants all around. This was a business/family trip. Staff was very nice and helpful. We'll definitely be coming back when we're back in San Diego

Arrived early from a long drive and they had no problem getting us in a room right away. That was awesome considering how tired we were. The location is supurb and the the room and the pool were very clean. Its an older building but has been well maintained.

Such a nice location. Easy way to be away from the hustle and bustle but, close enough to get anywhere. Walking distance to a lot we wanted to see. Perfect for a little get away.

The location of this property is excellent!... easy walking distance to many restaurants and the harbor. The room was clean and comfortable. The beds were especially comfortable. Really pleasant hotel for a night or two. There aren’t a lot of food options in the immediate neighborhood, but the central location doesn’t make this a big deal.

Was looking for a great location for a fair price. Good clean room - great location by lots of great seafood restaurants and close to Shelter Island. Visited Ocean Beach with a lot of fun stops in that area including the ocean beachs. Great fun. Very loud area with military and airport but earplugs were helpful

Stayed one night while dropping my son off at college. Bathroom was small, but everything was nice. Very good value. Staff was great. it is only a few blocks away from a couple of our favorite food places (the best acai bowls at Northside Shack and lunch at Mitch's Seafood)

The mattress sagged if you sat or laid on either side of the bed so you felt like you were going to roll off. The room was dark and noisy. There was no breakfast included. The guy at the front desk acted as if he could barely get up off the chair to help us.

There is a fabulous walking trail right out the door along the coast. Gorgeous area and the seafood restaurant across the street is great!

The marina is close within walking distance and there are several places to eat. Tge staff are super friendly. We had a great stay here!

Clean room. Cute decor. They had an actual fridge in the room... bonus points for that! Close to many places to eat and a nice walkable area at the harbor. But, our view room had a a view of the parking lot with a sliver of a view of the harbor and that was a bummer. It was a great location and a good price considering that! I would recommend this place for sure... and the bar across the street was another bonus since most places on the harbor closed early.

This hotel is fantastic. I have walked by it many times and finally booked a night for a little staycation. It is in a prime location that has dozens of restaurants and breweries within walking distance, while still being an affordable spot. There is parking on site which is a bonus for that area. The hotel is very clean and up-to-date. It was a very easy check-in and check-out. Will definitely be recommending it to others and will be staying again!

Nice location with easy walking around the area, down the street from a convenience store, and super close to the airport but quiet. It feels like a run down motel with some paint but the bed was comfortable the shower was fine and the staff was 50/50 on if you were getting someone super kind and helpful or gruff and annoyed you were standing there. I’d stay again for the cost and because the bed was comfy.
