Pool and hot tub were not clean, had particulars floating everywhere. Other than that nice stay.

One night stay while visiting Solvang. Comfy bed, clean room. Cute view of the pool with lights. We were able to park and just walk the town which made it so convenient. Loved having a quick dip in the hot tub. Wish the pool and hot tub hours were later. They closed at 9 but we thought it was until 10-11? Might need to update the hours advertised. No issues and it is a great little inn.

Was 2-3 min drive into Solvang, they offered delicious danishes and good coffe for breakfast on the weekends. Pool and jacuzzi open until 10pm! Beautiful area, quiet hotel!

The pool was cloudy

The hotel room was nice and comfortable. The balcony area was my favorite because of the beautiful view of the pool area and lights. My only complaint would be the pool and jacuzzi. They were both dirty and towels were not readily available as mentioned that they would be. However, we would definitely stay here again because of the great service and comfortability of the rooms.

The location is right outside of the town and quiet. The staff is friendly and helpful. The jacuzzi and pool are easy to access. The balcony is perfect for sitting with a cup of coffee or glass of wine. The rooms are clean and comfy. I will stay there when my family go visit again.

Very close to other properties/businesses, the location was quiet, plenty of parking, helpful staff. I wish my stay had been longer. There is no elevator but the hotel is only 2 floors, however if you have an issue with stairs it's best to check where your room will be ahead of time.

It was the first hotel upon entering the town so we could easily walk everywhere to explore. This is an older hotel so it could use some updating. They also have conflicting time regarding the pool/hot tub hours. We were verbally told pool/hot tub closed at 10:30 A sign posted in our room said 11 and the sign posted at the pool said 9. please update all signs to accurate pool hours. They do not have staff on site 24 hours. There was an incident where a family was being pretty loud after hours and 3 cops cars came rolling in to see why children were screaming (they were playing).

Outdoor jacuzzi had green mold in bottom No elevator to access our 2nd floor room. We had to settle for a lower price 1st floor room as wife had recent knee surgery, cant climb stairs. EXPEDIA OWES US REFUND!

We had a short stay but definitely would have made another decision if we really had to or we were staying longer. First check in was very easy and the bedding/ pillows were clean and comfortable. Unfortunately the hotel itself needed a lot of work. The pool is right in the middle of the property and the water was very cloudy so we didn’t even try. When we arrived we saw trashed pulled up high along with bins full of dirty towels and bedding. The towels were never moved and in fact there were more the next morning that stayed there the entire time. The towels were also grey like they were used to clean very dirty floors. The room looked clean but you can see the baseboards were very dusty and dirty. So was the fan that had piled on dust. The door had only the normal lock and was missing a security lock or deadbolt which made me uneasy. The towels in the room weren’t exactly white and when used they looked almost greyish. Again it was a short stay but we would not be staying here again.

Very walkable property at start of the major street, near a corner store. Room was not clean despite waiting for it to be ready. Bedspread had makeup, had to clean headboard, mold in bathroom soap holder, and curtains did not close all the way. Used a coat hanger to clip the curtains closed because the people across from us were on the patio and could look into our room.

My wife and I had one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever encountered. We were genuinely appalled by how the situation was handled and will never stay here again. On our first night, we checked in, I took a shower, and noticed blood stains on one of the towels. We immediately brought it to the front desk, and while they replaced it, we were told that no manager or supervisor would be available to speak with us for four days. Later that night, when we went to bed, we discovered more blood stains on the bed sheets and pillowcase. Since it was late, we had no choice but to sleep on one side of the bed. The next morning, we reported the issue and were told the linens would be replaced while we were out for the day. After being gone for more than 12 hours, we returned to find the bed made—but with the same stained sheets still on it. The bathroom had been cleaned, but the overall experience was simply unacceptable. We later received a call from the manager, who offered a mere $25 credit for a $400 stay, and advised us to contact Hotels.com. Over the following week, Hotels.com was unable to reach the hotel for resolution. This was an extremely disappointing and unsanitary experience, coupled with very poor customer service. I strongly recommend avoiding this property. We will be staying elsewhere when we return to Solvang.

Mold in the restroom

The Kronborg Inn could greatly benefit from a renovation and more consistent deep cleaning. Areas such as the pool and restrooms appeared overdue for maintenance, and in our room we noticed flies as well as mold on the shower grout. While the location is excellent for accessing Solvang, the overall condition of the property detracted from the stay.

The room was not clean as should have been, there was a huge hair ball on the floor of the bathroom. The AC unit did not work--it was late August during a heat wave.

Chocolate bar wrapper was on edge of bed , counter was dusty ..

Service very respectful, helpful and kind. Room was clean and we appreciated getting a corner room since we had our baby with us. The room was spacious and comfortable. We loved the jetted tub in our room. We didn’t use the pool, but it looked clean. The area was quiet. We enjoyed our time.

Great location as everything was walkable. It’s clean but pretty outdated. Maybe, have bigger bath towels.

Didn’t use the balcony. The room was too close to the street and we could hear the cars and trucks late at night and thru the night. Woke me up about 6-7 times.

The rooms could use some updating but the place was cute and clean. Very spacious. No issues while staying here. Cute little patio overlooking the pool with lights.

Comfortable bed but the air conditioner didn’t work in our first room so we moved and had issues with the second room’s air conditioner as well. The ceiling fan helped but the property needs a facelift.

Nice large room, comfortable bed, easy access to pool. Had a jetted tub that i wanted to use but didn't. Downside was that no one was available after 7 until morning. Thankfully had no problems! The property is close to downtown. The buildings are run down. The door into the room had a weird rubber covering that I suspect was for reducing street noise. The room was clean and nice. There was a sliding door that lead to a courtyard where the pool and jacuzzi were. The AC did not work well so our room was warm and made sleeping difficult. The young lady at the front desk was really nice. Answered our questions.

The room was beautiful and very comfortable. I stayed in the jacuzzi suite and it truly was amazing. The towels probably need to be replaced they seemed rough and stained and just looked dirty but everything else was perfect. The mini fridge actually kept cold and the a/c made the room nice and chilly. I would definitely stay here again.

Overall, our stay at this hotel was great, until 6:30AM. We were disappointed to have been woken up by trash company truck!!! Since we were awake we went to the lobby to grab coffee and a note indicated they would be open at 7:30 and it was 7:40 while both doors were locked.

The toilet was backed up and the room smelled like cigarettes. When I asked for a manager they said there wasn’t one on dusty to call on Monday. I called to let them know and everytime I did they said the manager wasn’t available. Poor follow up

Disappointing Experience at Kronborg Inn W recently stayed at Kronborg Inn and was disappointed with the service and cleanliness. Despite arriving early, the front desk staff seemed put off by my requests. No smiles, no warmth - just a curt "check-in is at 3." When I asked to store a luggage with an oxygen tank battery due to the 103-degree heat, the staff reluctantly said ok and pointed to the breakfast room to store it. asked about the restroom after a long drive, provided a key, still without a smile. Upon checking in at 4, a different staff member was friendly and helpful. However, I was shocked to discover that breakfast is not served on weekdays, contrary to my expectations. The room (110) had a dirty floor with black slime, which was unacceptable. An impeccably clean room is essential, regardless of the price. First impressions matter, and Kronborg Inn failed to deliver. With thousands spent on advertising, it's disappointing to see customers treated poorly. Word-of-mouth is the most valuable advertising, and unfortunately, we will not recommend this hotel to family and friends. *Rating 3 *Recommendations:* 1. Improve front desk staff training for better customer service. 2. Provide breakfast on weekdays. 3. Ensure rooms are thoroughly cleaned. Whole staff is nice and professional. Helpful. Felt safe here. My car keys were in a ring attached to my shorts and somehow came off. They were returned to the office where I was called to come get them. So thankful! Definetly will stay here again and also recommend to friends and family!

Great area, for walking to the shopping district. Office staff very nice.

This place was okay. Rooms were clean. Bed was very comfortable. Problem was no staff around. No one at front desk.

Room was excellent clean, plenty of bathroom supplies and comfortable beds. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Milagros checked me in she was nice and answered my questions about restaurants around the area. I requested a downstairs room since my mom has trouble walking they accommodated us and I greatly appreciated the service given. The room was bright with natural light and smelled fresh and clean. Also the beds are very comfortable that’s a big plus. Check out was also very good with Mayra she was very nice, she made sure I tried the yummy cheese danishes they have for breakfast. Future trips I will be staying here for sure.👍

Quiet, clean and convenient location.

What a gem of a place. Easily walkable to great restaurants in Solvang. The room was huge, very comfortable and clean. Great value for money. Would happily stay here again and stay for longer.

I like that this property is just outside of the hustle and bustle of the downtown area, however there was still a lot of traffic noise.

Everything went well. Our room, Service, Cleanliness, was great. We loved that we were just outside all the traffic area (People traffic too), but still walking distance from everything! Quiet and comfortable. We will definitely stay here in the future.

The rooms were ok. Clean and spacious. The property I felt needed a facelift. Paint faded and old chairs around the property. We were on ground floor so didnt see upstairs. The pool was small and had no areas to sit. The one lounge chair was dirty and broken plastic, there were 3 regular chairs to sit. Not even lounge type chairs. No shade. On the upside, it was close to downtown Solvang so walking was close.

I loved how close it is to the downtown area in Solvang it is literally walking distance to shops, restaurants and coffee shops.

The room was very comfortable and clean. Expedia needs to change “breakfast included” though as it’s only available on Fridays/Weekends we found out. Staff was friendly. The lobby and town are all decorated for Christmas right now, it’s a great time to visit. Easy walk to town from the hotel. Nice to have a microwave in the room.

Love that it is less than a 5 minute walk, completely safe and lighted, to everywhere you need to go in Solvang. Welcoming staff and wonderful amenities including baked goods from nearby Olsen's Bakery for breakfast on the weekends. Wonderful stay overall

Room was nice, tho it would be nice to have a microwave. The website said breakfast was included, but when I got there was told that they hadn’t resumed offering breakfast. Does that mean since the pandemic, which has been over for well over a year by now?

There is NO breakfast included!! There is a sign that says there isn’t and that they apologize for any outside sites that state there is. Professionalism lacks a bit at the front desk. 2 people at the front desk. One didn’t acknowledge us ( she was busy on her phone) and the other with her logo sweatshirt and jeans was very nice, once she walked in to go behind the check in desk. We thought she was a hotel guest. The rooms were very nice and clean. No bed bugs! We had a very nice stay.

Everything was great except for the outdoor Jacuzzi. It did not look clean and only three out of the six jets were working. On the upside, we did have a room with a jetted bathtub, which we used instead of the outdoor Jacuzzi. Breakfast is limited, but the pastries from Olsen‘s bakery provided at the hotel were delicious.

Our stay was great, the room was clean and nice staff was pleasent. We did wonder about why our bed wasnt made upon return and a stack of towels were just sitting on the bathroom sink. Not up on the shelf or hung up. Humm? But over all ...loved the pool and spa, and pastry and coffee.

Very nice hotel. The beds were great! Staff was friendly. The only let down was it said breakfast was offered and then when we got there it turned out to be only on the weekend so we didn't get anything.

Fairly affordable for what is available in the package. The room was pretty good. Only minor complaints about cleanliness in the bathroom in terms of the structural upkeep. A couple of things that could’ve been better in our experience were linen such as the towels and wash rags could’ve been made out of better material. It felt rough and it was small. Also, the continental breakfast was pretty simple. Perhaps they could added cereal or oatmeal. I didn’t see staff try to invite or cater to guest coming in for the breakfast. For example, they had a TV in the seating area however didn’t turn it on. The coffee cups and lids did not fit together. I came in to fill some water bottles, they were out of water in the cooler.

Clean, comfortable, great staff. One of the only downsides was there is no guest laundry, and I really needed one. Good pastries with coffee on the weekends.

Inn was clean and convenient. I was disappointed with the advertised breakfast: just a couple of pastries and coffee. It is great that the bathroom had a jacuzzi tub/shower combo. One drawback was the high tub side and no bathmat to prevent slipping on the tub bottom.
