This inn is as charming as the town and the staffs are all wonderful. Our room was on the second floor with a view of the gorgeous courtyard garden below. Sitting at the front courtyard is a treat as soothing, fragrant aroma from the spa gently drifts into the space. The garden at the back has a waterfall and fireplace; we enjoyed lounging there in the evening with a bottle of wine after a day of exploring. Breakfast was complimentary. Our stay here was the best value for money of all along our California road trip.

We had a nice two night stay. The hotel had a happy hour for guests offering a feee glass of red or white wine and after that it was only $5 a glass. They offer a breakfast, which we didn’t utilize because we wanted to eat out at local restaurants. It’s walkable to all the shops and parking is free. It was clean and spacious and comfortable beds and pillows

Very Quiet Beautiful Hotel! Great Hospitality. They have a wine Night to welcome you. Nice small breakfast. Center to the main street, walking distance. If you have an electric car, there is a charging station in the parking lot directly across from the hotel. It is a slow charger, so you can leave for a few hours while shopping.

Wine Valley Inn was awesome! The best location and most charming architecture in Solvang! Clock tower is gorgeous, complimentary breakfast generous and hearty and has local pastries. Hot cocoa and tea available 24/7. Fireplaces indoor and outdoor were so cozy!

We stay here often and like the location and the rooms. The building is well maintained and is close to shops and restaurants. We especially like the live music in the bar next door. Our room had a cute wood burning fireplace which added to the cozy feel on a cold night.

very welll located near Paula's Pancake house and Mission blvd walkable stores and tasting rooms. The place is dated, even after a facelift of furnishings and ne bath vanities, it still show it's age in teh shower room and creeky doors that woudl not close shut. I really did not like that there was balls of dog hair next to the dresser and the coffee maker. So gross and disgusting. I asked, they told me all room are dog-friendly and supposedly "we do a deep cleaning after each dog stay" not true. I don't like dogs, so I will not stay here again. I shoud have asked before boodking... my bad. Free Coffee at breakfast was good. But fr $300/night, it was below par for me.

We stayed for just one night on our way to San Diego. We stayed downstairs at the building off to the right hand side. The water was very loud from upstairs as well as of a lot of creaking of the wood when people were walking. There are two sitting chairs which were very old and uncomfortable. My husband took off his shoes after a walk around the town, and had on white socks. He only walked in the room with no shoes for about 1 hour if that and his socks were black. It is an old quaint Hotel and the staff was very nice. There is a continental breakfast that is available. The coffee was really not drinkable, however they did have a nice choice of cereals and Breads

Cute from far, but far from cute… seriously the carpet in our room felt sticky and needing to be replaced. Both TV remotes were also sticky. I don’t think we’ll stay there again despite the great location.

The roses around the grounds of this hotel are stunning in April/May. My room, on the ground floor, was okay. Some issues and recommendations: Ground floor rooms should have split shutters or top down blinds. Privacy while allowing the sun in would be nice. Please provide some gluten free snacks as part of your honor bar. The easiest thing to change out would be the pretzels. Gluten free pretzels are fantastic. Please provide tea bags as part of your coffee set up. Many guests don’t drink coffee. Please invest in a better quality of toilet paper and tissues. Time to replace some of the outdoor furniture at the fireplace. One housekeeping issue in my room - there were spots of dried blood on a couple of tiles in the shower.

We had an amazing stay at the Wine Valley Inn. It is in a great location to walk all around downtown Solvang easily. The staff was kind and helpful and there is even wine offered in the evenings. Clean, beautiful room.

Location is downtown so everything is within walking distance. It's an older hotel that is pretty well maintained. Breakfast was okay and the staff friendly. The bed was not the most comfortable in the world and there was foam on the corners so you wouldn't hit your shin but they kept coming off.

The front desk was very nice and they have a really pretty lobby that you can have a glass of wine in when you arrive. The rooms are OK, but it is extremely noisy. You can hear everything imaginable. We knew exactly when everyone took a shower. I felt like I was taking one with them. The parking lot had a group of motorcyclist who started their bikes and let them just idle. It was early morning. You can hear every person talking when they would walk by the rooms. Not worth the room rate.

We took a short trip to town and decided to stay here. Everything and I mean EVERYTHING about this place and our stay here was perfect! Check in was quick and easy, all staff were extremely friendly, our room was generously spacious, recently renovated (everything including the bathroom was new!), the amenities were superb and what more can I say? I was originally looking for a place that has free breakfast. I was not interested in places that advertised free breakfast but only offered coffee in your room counting that as “free breakfast”. The Wine Valley Inn exceeded my expectations with a full lodge style dinning room with a generous breakfast bar including scrambled eggs, bacon, yogurt, breads, juices, coffee and teas (the coffee was good!). Our stay was quiet, peaceful and filled with friendly people and overall it was THE perfect experience! I WILL be back here next time we’re in town. Thank you Wine Valley Inn!

This is a great hotel. Quaint and cozy. Breakfast was good. The real charm is the village tower rooms. Every room is different and a lot of fun. Very unique. Everything in town is walkable, and the Wine Valley Inn is perfectly located.

The room was nice inside and spacious. The bathroom looked new and the bed was large and comfy. We did have a few issues. It was pretty loud outside since our room was right in front of the main street. We also had ants come into our room to get to the garbage.

The hotel is charming and very close to the main area of shops and restaurants. Unfortunately the beds in the double bed rooms were the most uncomfortable beds I’ve ever slept on. They were so hard and squeaky. Also the walls are thin, so you hear every sound and when the upstairs people shower it sounds like your room is about to flood.

Check in unprofessional and the fact that I asked for 2pm instead of 3 but was actually ready at 2pm and was not given to me when my room was clearly ready and the front desk saw us waiting for it in their reception seating was totally uncalled for. Again no correct I should say greeting and no class. Front desk is the first impression of the whole place you get, that's where it starts, and it can totally spoil it. I worked in Hotels/Resorts for 8yrs, could not have gotten away with the way customer service is nowadays. I guess that's why it bothers me way more than others.

The property is very cozy and adorable; however, for my stay and having worked in the Hospitality for years myself, resorts not Hotels but same as far as I'm concerned when it comes to customer service, I did not have a good experience with the front desk. Now, the first day there was a very nice lady actually, she told me about the property and what they offer, but the other two ladies I had to deal with were not friendly nor nice at all. When it was time to leave, one of these girls asked both people before me if they enjoyed their stay, when I went to check out, they didn't ask me anything and simply said "Have a nice rest of the day". It's too bad because it was my first time at this hotel and it was quite nice except for some people on the second floor that for some reason did not wish to sleep EVER and made a lot of noise. The front desk means a lot in any property as it is the first place a customer deal with and it should be a nice and pleasant experience. Too much to write down what happened through out with the front desk, but not pleasant.

We paid for a specific room on Expedia, the Chateau King and that’s not what we got! I told the receptionist about it and she didn’t have an answer. She said she would have the manager call me and they never did! Never again!

Couldn’t ask for a more pleasant experience. The Inn was beautiful on the outside and the layout of rooms was just a tad confusing, but thank you to the lady that checked us in upon arrival, made it to our room with no problem. She was very helpful in answering all of our questions about the local scene. We really appreciated all of her input and help.

I freaking love this place. First off the customer service was Awesome! They have a texting system that is really convenient. At like 930 at night I asked for a flatter pillow and they searched all around and they found one. At 7 o’clock the next night I requested two more logs for the fire and they brought it up. When I wanted to tip, they said no thank you. they had a good breakfast, which was free lots of juice, tea coffee. The grounds were very clean. The gym was a good size and very adequate. The location is perfect. It’s pretty much in the middle of town. You just have to go one street over and you’re there. Everybody was just super great. I had a great feeling. Everything was comfortable and clean. I would absolutely stay here again.

My first night was wonderful. The room on the third floor was large and the property is charming. My friend joined me the next night and we enjoyed the complimentary wine tasting by the outdoor fireplace. The problem began with guests partying after 10pm. I called the front desk, where the agent told me she would do a walk-around to confirm where the noisy guests were before contacting the guest. I called back 15 minutes later to learn there was a shift change, and this agent told me the same thing about the walk-around. And this time the noises stopped. BUT at 12:45 AM they must have returned from the bars because they woke us up shouting. I called the front desk three times before walking down two lfights of stairs (outside in the rain) to wake the front desk person up to complain about the noise. I did my own walk-around to figure out which room was the noisy room. It was 1:15AM at this point. He said he would try to get them to be quiet. We heard them until 2 AM. I'm a former hotel worker of 6 years including a brief stint working at the front desk at a busy Hyatt. I get it. Due to all our troubles and lack of sleep and their inabilty to quiet the noisy guests, I simply asked for them to reimburse me the pet fee for two pets. The lodging reiumbursed me for one pet fee, not two. It was a simple thing to do to avoid this rant. I have spent many nights in many hotels and inns without a problem. The guests shouting with the paper thin floors is not OK.

Amazing property with good management. The Room I got is big in size with a beautiful on road side patio. Just only one thing I am disappointed about is breakfast that they don't have anything for vegetarians. Apart from that amazing stay, the location, the staffs, the cleanliness all on point.

Review: The hotel itself is very nice and comparable to others in the area, but I was disappointed with the breakfast. When I booked, the listing described a buffet-style breakfast and even showed photos that looked great. In reality, it was only a continental breakfast, which is not the same. The food quality was poor, and I ended up going elsewhere for breakfast. This was a deciding factor in choosing this hotel over a less expensive option, so it felt misleading. The hotel is within a 2-3 min walk to shopping and excellent restaurants. However, for the price, the hotel definitely needs a facelift. The carpet in the room smelled musty and looked like it needed cleaning, there were ants in our 3rd floor room, you couldn’t open any windows to enjoy the crisp outdoor air, the AC sounds like a lawnmower (way too loud) for a hotel room, water pressure in the shower was low, breakfast was subpar: see thru bacon and rubbery eggs, oatmeal in packets(!) without fresh toppings, no fresh pastries.
