Family trip to South Lake Tahoe. Excellent location, within walking distance to Heavenly Village. Stayed in a 2 bedroom suite. Room was very large and comfortable. Tasty breakfast included. They be had S’mores for the family to roast in an outdoor fire pit. Areal rest for the kiddos. We had the best time. Highly recommend the Forest Suites.

Great location for visiting Lake Tahoe. Tons of entertainment, dining, shopping nearby. Nice breakfast was provided and plenty of parking available. But aspects of the property seemed a bit dated (elevator/fitness room) and we had issues with noise near our unit. The laundry room and ice machine were across from our door and although quite hours started at 10pm, the room was not locked, so people were in there at all hours of the night.

Perfect location for skiing. Short walk to the gondola. The facilities are not luxurious, but plenty good for having a place to crash, hang out, and cook meals. The happy hour and game room are a nice touch. Breakfast was great. Outdoor heated pool and hot tub were a hit with the kids. Parking was very easy and convenient.

Great place! Had little activities every night such as wine hour and smores. Walkable to town and gondola. Staff very nice. -breakfast was so easy and convenient. Good kids room upstairs in lobby. A few smells around in stairwell and such from being older but nothing terrible. No dishwasher - no walkable grocery store but target opens next month and you can walk there! Elevator very small - only holds 3 but stairs super easy so not a problem. Easy walk to casinos and restaurants. We felt very safe! We would and want to come stay again!

This location was perfect for the event I attended. And very accommodating to my dog. The suite was very clean and felt like a home away from home. I thoroughly wnjoyed the clean pool and hot tub as well. Plus the shampoo and conditioner provoded smells phenomenal.

We stayed at this property a few years ago. It’s been remodeled since then. We stayed 3 nights and will be back. We liked that the rooms feel kind of like a cabin, sort of a hotel. Pool is nice. Jacuzzi is great after a day at the lake! They have themed evenings for adults and kids: s’mores night, free beer/wine 6-8 and they have a game room upstairs… a little for everyone!

Lots of ants in kitchen/living room. Old door knobs and doors which both get stuck. Wobbly toilets with low pressure shower. Beds are terrible, super squishy and worn out. The pools are great (two pools and two hot tubs) Location is perfect you can walk right into Heavenly village.

We stayed in one room as a group of 7 people, and we had an absolute blast!! This hotel is amazing. The room was clean, comfy, and spacious. We really enjoyed the free breakfast, as well as the little goodies like the smores kit. We originally planned to spend the evening in the hot tub, thinking the pool would be too cold, but the pool was actually very warm, and we ended up having a little “pool party” too! The staff were super friendly, polite, and professional. They even offered us a big discount to stay for a second night, so of course we extended our trip! It was such a fun experience, and I’ll definitely be coming back to this hotel. The only small downside was that the hot tub splashes water everywhere, which was a bit uncomfortable, but other than that, no complaints at all!

I’m extremely disappointed with my stay. The room was dirty — a fingernail on the bed, trash in the bin, a dead fly in the bathroom, a leaking ceiling, and a broken shower handle. My toddler wiped up spilled water and the paper towel came up black. Most concerning, I unknowingly used a previously used towel — completely unacceptable and a health risk. I told the front desk what had happened and asked for clean towels and for a manager to contact me. Neither happened. This place should be condemned.

Our stay was for 5 nights. We had a king suite and the pictures on the website did not at all look like our room. The room was extremely musty smelling and the floors were in poor condition. The cabinets wouldn’t close because they had been painted on so many times. The walls had marks and chips all over. We opened the sliding glass door and the screen door was filthy and you could tell it had not been cleaned in awhile. We made sure to wear our shoes the entire time because it just didn’t look clean. The tub had cracks in it. The reception desk wa very friendly and the breakfast was good and there were several choices. I would not stay here again just because of the way the room looked. It was not worth the money unfortunately. Just disappointed.

This place hasn’t been updated since the 70ies. Our room had a really bad smell. The sleeping couch was worn and torn. The furniture was uncomfortable. The bed was fine. There were some coloring stains on the duvet. The floor was very uneven and there were cracks in the ceiling. The windows couldn’t be opened since the insect screens were torn and there was so much dirt and cobwebs between the screen and the window. It really felt dirty. The laundry room floor was really dirty and the waste bin was overflowing. Two out of four machines were out of service. The swimming pool was dirty. Haven’t seen anyone clean it in three days and you couldn’t even see the bottom. The breakfast was ok. However next to the price for the room you have to pay a resort fee per person per day. Which makes you wonder where they’re using all that money for. It’s not being put in updating or cleaning any facilities or rooms. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

I would never stay at this location ever again. As soon as we entered the room it smelled really bad. AC was very noisy and the bell cart had flat tires. Swimming pool super dirty and staff very unfriendly.

A good hotel, clean rooms, nice amenities. Th building we stayed in #6 was older and had good upgraded everything. Plenty of food, shopping and heavenly gondola walking distance. 2 room suite was big although noise from pool area carried. Cleanliness was ok but not great. We stayed for 4 nights and asked for our room to be made up as per guidelines for 4+ nights and no housekeeping took place, new towels were brought/exchanged only. Air conditioning only worked in the main room - not felt in the bedrooms. WiFi went one night/morning and hence no tv available. Breakfast was extremely poor for a hotel that charges £500+ per night. Pool was freezing.

Property is in a great location - just across the street from the Heavenly Gondola and Village. Suite was spacious, kitchen had basic pans and plates for cooking, bed was comfortable. Good amenities. There was bit of wear and tear, but overall we are very happy with our stay and will come back!

Perfectly adequate place to stay with a reasonably good breakfast and amenities. About what you would expect for the money in a very good location. Property itself is a bit dated some quick-fix renovations. Unfortunately, the sliding glass door didn't seal tightly, allowing unwanted noise and outside air into the suite. The suite HVAC unit was super loud. And the bed was on the extra firm side.

The doors to the parking area slams very loud and there wasn’t any cookie sheets available to bake on. The bed needs replaced as it had divots on both sides. The bathroom door handle also needed a screw. It came off when we opened the door, and therefore just left the door cracked the remaining of our stay. The windows don’t seal. You can hear people when they are out at the pool and can be loud. This location was perfectly centered. It was right next to the gondola and shopping. The target was only a block over. The breakfast was good and they offer different activities every night. The hotel was nice and I would consider staying again. The other guests were so noisy and very loud.

This property is within walking distance from the Heavenly Gondola, which is very convenient. We stayed at the one bedroom suite. The living room is quite spacious, even with the soft bed pulled out. And the full kitchen is nice. The only complaint I have is the shower size. It's strange that the entire bath room is ample space; however, the showering area of the bath room is extremely tight (with the shower curtain closed).

Loved the location! As far as our room…very old and dated. Smelled like old dirty socks. The bed was not comfortable at all. Sunk to the middle. Furniture very dated and not comfortable to sit in for very long. But like I said, the location was perfect!

Nice hotel for the price. Walkable to shopping and restaurants. Quiet and spacious. One male representative at check in was very professional, friendly and helpful. When I asked about resort fee, rep referred me to what I assumed was a manager (female) who was very rude, and impatient with my question about fees.

Manager, Travis, was AWESOME! He was very patient and pleasant as he tended to our needs. We had some issues with the room we checked into, but Travis was very swift in relocating us. To cap it all for our inconvenience per Travis, we were refunded resort fees for our total stay there. The housekeeping staff was great as well. Thank you all for making our stay pleasant. We will be returning!!

We would definitely stay here again. This property is right near the stateline casinos and tram ride, but it's back behind the main highway and village area and is much quieter. The breakfast is excellent -- one of the nicest we have had anywhere except for Europe! The only reason I gave the overall rating a 4 instead of a 5 is because we had some minor plumbing issues in our bathroom. However, when we reported these problems to the clerk as we were checking out, he made an adjustment on our payment which was very kind.

Do not stay in this property as there were mouse roaming in and out of our room. Staff not friendly. Asked for kettle never received and when confronted two days later was told they don’t have any available. Breakfast is not great.limited parking space in the property.

We stayed 1 night in a last moment trip to Lake Tahoe. Room was great for the price. Super clean and super spacious for the King Suite. They offer a hot continental breakfast which was pretty good. Also Happy Hour free wine tasting in the bar. The game room was fun. With a pool table, foosball, and XBox gaming. Location is pretty cool as it sits right being the Heavenly Village Resort and steps away from the Heavenly Gondola. Short walk to the main strip and about a 9 min walk to all Casinos. All and all... for a 1 night stay. It was great.

I don’t know how this place is in business. Check in took an hour because the card keys weren’t working. So I made about 6 trips back and forth from our room to the front desk before they offered to walk us to the room. They eventually had to use their master key to let us in. I even did an early check in via the txt they sent us. When we got there they still made me do an entire check in at the front desk. They shuffled us from one building to the next for a room. Rooms were dirty. Towels were dirty and used. We went to target to buy our own towels. Website has false advertisement of what the “newly renovated” rooms looked like. Mattress was so old we had springs in our backs and sides. Sheets were like sandpaper. Pillows were small square flat blocks. Very noisy property. Parties were happening at the pool and above us. Sounded like the roof was going to cave in. Smells of mildew as soon as you walked in the building and rooms. You can clearly tell this property use to be an old apartment complex that was cheaply slapped together into a hotel. Not only did we get no sleep staying here, the property itself is extremely inconvenient and hard to navigate.

The location of the property was right under the gondola ride and just in the center of everything. Easy to walk and close to shopping and eating. The property was older and could use some updating but I know that takes money. We did enjoy the stay overall.

Continently located but. O maid service at all extra fee for parking. Not as easy to get to local restaurants etc. breakfast was free but not much choices. We stayed three days ate the Breakfast once. Price was higher than a comparable room at the Marriott or Margaritavillle resorts. That are directly in Heavenly village. Would not choose again.

Liked: The location of the property, in the heart of heavenly. Access to nearby restaurants, trails, lake beach. Not Liked: Breakfast was below average in terms of taste, number of options, and cleanliness of serving and eating areas. Room fittings and overall feel felt dated. Bathroom exhaust and clothes hanging hook were not functional. The overall property came across as old, and dated. We could hear other families through the walls. The property manager did not come and greet the guests, and seemed content to be in the office chamber.
