We were there for my husbands funeral service. I rented 3 rooms and overall all was good. My only complaint would be that the bathroom by the breakfast room said it was a guest bathroom but was told when my key didn't work that it is for emplyees only. We were on the second floor and it was a long walk upstairs to use our own bathroom. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub and guest services were polite.

I really loved this hotel. Older hotel, but very well cared for. The rooms were very nice and roomy. Bed was comfortable. The cookies in the lobby are a nice touch! The only slightly negative comment is that there is no elevator...not a problem for me. The parking was very limited. Close to so many things in the Monterey Bay area. Will stay here again.

We enjoyed the heated pool and hot tub. We chose a room with a kitchen but all the plates and silverware were paper/plastic from the breakfast room. Bring your own knives as there are none but the plastic ones. Parking in the main lot is limited so get back to your room early. The second lot is narrow and longer cars may have trouble fitting in a spot.

Very pleased with the hotel overall. They were very accommodating, friendly and the rooms were nice. Only downside was parking was very limited and extremely tight for trucks. Only after our last night did we learn there was a second parking lot, accessed from a different street. Never saw it so can’t comment on that. Definitely plan to return here next year.

Our room was not clean. There was hair all over the sink. Whoever stayed there before us shaved and was not cleaned properly. It’s on a very busy street so it’s very noise at night. Staff was nice but I would not stay again.

Room service maids were rude. Kept banging on door even with “do not disturb” sign on door. Was literally loading out my luggage at 10:55 am when maid rudely said “you’re supposed to be out of here at 11”. We had a rough night with our newborn baby. Was trying to rest in the morning and they kept banging on door. Walked in on my wife while she was trying get her bath. Terrible!!

We stayed at three different hotels while we visited California and we chose the Rose Garden Inn because of its proximity to Monterey, Big Sur, Big Basin Redwood Park, and Santa Cruz. We were not disappointed and it was honestly the best of the three. Gas in this area was relatively inexpensive and it was very easy to get things that we needed nearby at Target. The room was outstanding and the breakfast in the morning was good. It’s a great place to be in the middle of a lot of things in the Monterey Bay area.

A lovely stay with a charming atmosphere 🌵❤️ We had a really lovely stay at the Best Western in Watsonville. The staff was very kind, welcoming and friendly, which made us feel comfortable right away. Our room was very pleasant, with a lovely Hispanic/Mexican-inspired atmosphere that gave the place a lot of charm and character. It felt cozy and authentic, and we really enjoyed it. The breakfast was also perfectly fine, with everything we needed to start the day. We had a very good night’s sleep and really enjoyed our stay. We particularly love these small, charming American motels, which have so much more personality than large chain hotels. A lovely stop on our road trip — we would happily stay here again! 🇺🇸✨
