The Hotel was Fantastic. The only thing that was kind of a issue was check in was not until 4pm and the 20.00 a night for the parking.

I thought this hotel was very taken care of. It was clean, vintage, and a very easy and convenient stay at an affordable rate. This hotel does not have a gym or pool but outside of that the only other thing that caused difficulties were the general population bathrooms not being open. Otherwise, this was a great stay and the workers along with the entire area did an awesome job with our experience.

I booked this for one night but wish I had more time to explore. I was traveling for work visited multiple sites on the western slope and the day of checkout went to Aspen then. back to the Denver Metro area. This Hotel was within walking distance to numerous restaurants with the brewpub and wild coffee attached to this location. I will say that parking is not included but there is a gated lot adjacent to the property that they charge $ 20 for your time there within in/out privilages for your time there

Pretty good. Parking is an issue (paid seperately) and during busy times it's hard to check in due to car congestion at the hotel entrance. Rooms are quite small and don't have a microwave. Would be nice to have laundry bags provided in the room.

The hotel was nicely decorated, with good vibes and a friendly staff. The room was cozy, but the bed was NOT comfy at all. Our first night there, we must not have had anyone in the room underneath us, because the second night there every time the air conditioning kicked on in the room below, it sounded like we were in an airplane. The sound and vibration from the HVAC below was so loud, I was tempted to go down to the front desk at 2 in the morning and ask for a different room. I ended up powering through, but didn't get a lot of sleep. The service at the attached brewpub was TERRIBLE (and the food wasn't much better) and it all closes at 9 - which I thought was a missed opportunity, as even a little bar in the lobby or a few room service food options would have been nice after a long day at the hot springs. No real amenities either - no pool, spa, hot tub, gym, or dog area, and parking is $20/day and the lots are not attached to the hotel. It's not a bad stay, it's just not great.

It would be nice to have breakfast included. Even a simple buffet would be good. The little coffee shop has a huge line and makes this property less attractive if you are skiing and like to get out early. Seems the elevators quite slow.. nice rooms !

So this is a first to have to report that when we checked into our room, we found men's dirty underwear over by the window. My husband was furious and i was grossed out. When we went to the front desk to report this issue, the young lady seemed blind sided and wasn't sure what to really say. She offered us another room but we had already got settled in and had gotten ready to head to the hot springs. We told the young lady to just have someone go in and grab the underwear. My husband was still pretty disappointed in the whole scenario because it really makes you wonder if the rooms are really cleaned well. Not to mention, we were never even approached by a manager to offer any kind of an apology. Very sad! We did ask the lady to comp our parking for the weekend, which she did. That is another disappointing factor that when you stay at this hotel, they expect you to pay an extra $20 per day (on top of your paid hotel stay) to be able to park in their 2 lots. This is absolutely ridiculous and not customer friendly! Another unfortunate thing was that every time we walked by the front desk, the staff would be bending down to look at their personal cell phones that were under the counter. Geez! We have had a past visit to this hotel, a few years back and it was very pleasant but this time around has made us want to look else where next time. Definitely need to up their customer service practice in alot of areas.

We stayed in the newer section and it was nicely decorated. But I only gave it three stars for cleanliness because the hallways reeked like used cat litter. It was overwhelming and smelled throughout the entire hallway. Our room, however, was fine. It is a great location and having the brewery in the lobby is really convenient. Both the beer and food were good. Didn’t care for the $20 parking fee to park a car outdoors and offsite.

We were very unhappy with the service. We stayed Monday afternoon until check out on Friday and had zero service!!! We were only given the two towels at check-in and no one ever came to change them. We were given two regular coffee K cups, and that was it for the entire four nights. Went checking in, there was a dirty glass with about an inch of water in it sitting on the refrigerator. The room was very small and the bathroom was even smaller. When we checked out, I asked for a receipt and they told me they would email it to me because they could not print receipts….I never received the receipt!

Loved the historic charm and ambiance, including wood floors, artwork, rugs, and beautiful lobby. The staff members were kind and helpful. The bed was very comfortable and clean, and we slept well. The location was perfect - walking distance to great restaurants and parks.

Our stay was good until I found a dirty, dried wash cloth from prior guests on top of the shower rod.

Friendly staff, clean room, great decor

This was the second time my wife and I have stayed that this hotel. Last summer, during our first visit, our room was located above the main lobby area. We had booked our reservation directly through the hotel website and our room was fantastic. It had been recently remodeled and was very clean with good views. After that experience, we were both excited to return. On our return trip this past week, we made a reservation through the hotels.com website. I am not sure if this affected the location of our room, but we definitely had a different experience this time around. Our assigned room was not located in the main hotel area. We had to walk up and around the brewery and it was located in a separate entrance. It looked like there may be six or eight rooms in that area. All of them located on the ground floor. It just didn’t seem like that area received much attention by the staff. The rooms were “recently” renovated, which is the good news. On the negative side, the main hallway was in desperate need of a vacuum, and the window wells were full of bugs, dirt, and other debris. No idea how any of that could be missed. Also kind of weird to have heavy foot traffic walking by your window throughout the day and night. The alternative exit to the hallway was also full of boxes. Not sure why that was the case. Would I stay at this hotel again? Only if I was guaranteed a room on the floors directly above the lobby. Otherwise, not a chance.

My only issue with the place was the cleanliness of the shower/bathroom floor. Black and white tile with black grout makes it hard to tell that mildew is there but it was. I told the young lady at the desk so she could send them to clean it again but they did not clean it properly. Hopefully it was just in our room. I would still return and still recommend staying there.

very clean, very beautiful hotel

The hotel is beautiful and the double King room was very spacious. Parking was close to the hotel and was in an open lot. The attached coffee shop and Brewpub were delicious. My only complaint was the noise. Someone across the hall left their dog unattended and it whined and barked until they returned. You can hear every door opening & closing, the neighboring room's conversations and TVs. We made a noise complaint about the room above us at 4am. The desk said they'd speak with them but the noise continued until we gave up on sleep around 8am.

We stayed in room 712 with two king beds because that’s all they had available at time of booking. It’s a standalone building a half block away from the main hotel. The building is an old house where the downstairs is the room and the upstairs is still a private residence. You can hear the resident stomping around upstairs, listening to music, talking to their guests. The room itself is big, open and spacious and had cute features like two separate rooms for the shower and the toilet but it needs some work to meet expectations. The false ceiling is tacky and the main support column is leaning. It may be the way the column settled but definitely looks a little sketchy. It could make a cute bnb if you got the whole building and a kitchen but for the price they charged this was well below expectations.

It’s an older hotel which is fine but LOUD. Couldn’t sleep. The bathroom is tiny.

Walked into a lovely, spacious, well located hotel room. However, we were barely able to sleep because of the very loud air conditioner. The next morning it took almost 15 minutes before the hot water arrived in the shower on the third floor. Hopefully theses problems can be fixed as we otherwise love the hotel.

Loved location near river, hot springs, shopping and dining options. On the negative side, the Mountain View we paid for (and was confirmed by front desk) was lame - essentially non-existent. Our room looked over an adjacent roof and you could barely see the mountain above it. Also the HVAC sounds like a jet engine when it turns on.

We had a room with no exterior windows. It faced the interior 3 story lobby. Hallway was louder with wood floors not carpet. But noise was damped by interior furnishings. Overall very nice stay and good coffee shop in lobby.

The bed and the room were very comfortable but the air conditioning unit was so loud and clanky that I hardly slept.

When we visit Glenwood Springs, we always prefer this hotel. Although, our stay this time was somewhat disappointing. When we first got to our room, the room next door had a dog that was howeling and barking non-stop. I went to the front desk to notify them, I was told they would take care of it. Meanwhile, the entire time I was standing at the front desk you could hear the dog howeling and barking from the second floor. We returned from dinner later that evening, the dog again was howeling and barking. Again, I called to the front desk, they explained they would call the owner of the dog. Again and again, this continued over our 3 day stay. You would think paying nearly $400.00 a night for a luxury hotel experience would include an ability to relax, peacefully. Management failed to control this situation and allowed it to continue happening. We will think twice before returning to this hotel when visiting Glenwood Springs.

Check in was a breeze after getting off the Am Track. Let us check in early. Gorgeous building with tasteful styling choices. Room was very comfortable, loved the high ceiling rooms. Our tv didnt work right away but Hayden from the front desk came up right away and fixed it. Awesome employee, great attitude. Have stayed in a lot of hotels over the years in Glenwood. Would stay here evertime after this experience. A plus.

The check in was not a great start. There was one gentleman working, several people in line and the phone was ringing off the hook. Definitely understaffed for the level of people checking in and making reservations. This hotel has some of the hardest beds I have ever laid in. The hardwood floor might have been softer with a sheet and a pillow.

Very nice stay. Excellent service from Ashley at front desk. She accommodated our needs and we were able to store our bags after checking out for a few hours which set our mind at ease to go eat and explore! Recommend.

Front desk was nice, but failed to tell us you have to ask for clean towels if you want them. There is no maid service at all. They don’t make a bed, replace coffee, washcloths, cups, etc. so you’re on your own. Also, no info in the room as far as who to call with needs. Very weird.

We had a room that was two bedroom one bathroom. It was pretty great, but I do wish the bathroom was more accessible from both bedrooms. Still clean and beautiful. Had a good stay. I will mention the check-in process was not great at all. It took about an hour at midnight to check in. I requested to have a key made earlier on the afternoon of my stay, that day, asking for the key to be time stamped for my checkin, so it would be valid for the room so when we came back from this festival in Aspen & we wouldn’t have to do check in during the middle of the night. They didn’t accommodate that and then there was an issue with a lot of guests key cards not working at that hour as well… so I had to wait for all of those key cards to be remade before I could check into our room at midnight. I waited in the lobby for about an hour just to get checked in. Exactly what I feared would be a headache was and could’ve been avoided by advancing a time stamped keycard for our room. But it sounds like the keycard may not have been working at that time anyway because a lot of guests had issues with theirs. Also the young woman working the desk in the afternoon was not very professional & wouldn’t give straight answers to our questions.

Hotel Maxwell changed names from the time we booked to the time our stay began. It may be that the rules changed, too except no one told us. They gave away our room to someone else, put us in a lesser quality room and then blamed it on us booking through Expedia. They changed the check in and check out times from our original reservation. Prices were VERY high for the quality of room and service received. Don't stay here. Choose another hotel.

Property was very nice and well maintained. Check in went very smoothly which made the check out surprising. At checkout I was told that I was a "no show". The clerk wanted to know how I had key cards and said I needed to speak to the manager who was not currently available. All very strange and a bit rude.I needed to leave and left my phone number. Needless to say I have not heard anything from the manager.

We ended up just parking the car and walking everywhere we wanted to. The best shopping and restaurants are right there. You can walk to either of the the big hot springs easier than it is to drive.

Both positive and negative is the location. It is very walkable with great restaurants, shopping, close to the river and hot springs. That said parking is difficult with 2 hr time limits during the day. Yikes! The facility and rooms are beautiful!

Great central location- close to train station and restaurants. It took us about 20 minutes to walk to Iron Mountain Hot Springs on an easy trail.

The hotel is in the heart of historic downtown Glenwood Springs. Very charming and convenient to the hot springs pool and numerous eateries.

Very nice property. Close to the downtown Glenwood with boutique stores and dining options. Easy walking from Hotel. Across street from Amtrak Station and across interstate from Hot Springs pool area.

I would say this hotel is the best location for food and shops. The history of it is also really cool to learn about and experience with the decor and the overall look and feel. The Hot Springs Pool is right across the bridge also and is a convenient walk over there from the hotel. There is a Pub restaurant connected to it and also plenty of restaurants and shops right by it. We ate at Ming's Cafe 2 times because it was so good (I had the Orange Chicken) and it is next to shops. Allow time to get a table because all the shops and restaurants are close together. We also had Sweet Coloradough for breakfast, a 5 minute drive from the hotel which was a good experience and delicious! The Beds were really comfortable and room was clean. Parking is tight in the 2 parking lots but was nice having parking without having to search for parking. We parked in the North lot right around the corner from the hotel and seemed to do the job but really tight fyi.

Charming rehab'd old hotel. Super convenient to the Amtrak station directly across the street.

Beautifully remodeled historic hotel! We were able to walk to the Glenwood Hot Springs pool, many fantastic restaurants and Doc Holliday’s grave. Customer service was great! The little coffee shop was delicious and the vintage clothing shop had some fabulous items for women and babies!

Rooms were clean and comfortable, modern but still charming and historic. It was quiet at night and easy to walk to everything around. The coffee shop in the hotel and the brewpub had great gluten free and dairy free options.

Cute little historic hotel in downtown Glenwood Springs. Walking distance to the hot springs, be sure to ask about a pass & towel at the hotel to bring. Water stations in the lobby, coffee shop in the building and the lobby is decorated nicely. The is an elevator, everyone I engaged was efficient, helpful and kind.

We stayed in the Top of the Town suite and it was amazing. Love having the brewery on the bottom floor because it's truly some of the best food in town! And great location watching the train come and go and walking distance to the Hot Springs and all of the awesome bars and restaurants!

A unique 3-star hotel right in the middle of where you want to be if you're doing the Glenwood Springs tourist thing. Having a brewpub with good food attached is a huge bonus. One note: parking can be a little bit of a hassle and the hotel charges $20, which seem onerous. (Across the bridge, at the other nice hotel where I like to stay, they just give you a parking pass). But it's a clean, upscale-ish place with nice funky rooms and a there's even a coffee shop downstairs.

It was excellent, the only complaint I have is the restaurant recommendation by the desk clerk. We asked for the "best place to get a steak" for dinner and were told Juicy Lucy's which was very close to the hotel but almost awful. That said, the Pullman was great as was the restaurant attached to the hotel. There are good choices...
